Fuck me, we're going to be the only National League side (out of 6) to have beaten Bognor this season.

We got past Truro 2-0 tonight. Nice short journey to the English riviera for the next round. Great.

Real eye-bleeding stuff from both sides and the referee tonight, with the only memorable part being Tuton's Tuton-esque finish that separated the sides. A lot of negativity, felt like Barra were trying to cancel things out from the first minute and they lacked confidence, while their deep set-up made us turn to hoofing it a lot. Delighted to see us win ugly and go ten unbeaten. Our 14-year-olds were being proper divs tonight but it was nice when Discoland very occasionally surfaced over our own singing. Good luck to Raiders' away fans and I'm sorry you had to watch so crap a game, as the result was the only mitigating feature.

Truly was the worst first 45 minutes of (non) football i have seen in a long time. A first for me tonight as i don't ever recall seeing a player booked for returning to the field of play before being waved on by the referee.

Ha, it was woeful. Don't mind having a 1* game to watch sometimes when we're on the run we are though. He brandished his yellow card as if he had a quota to fill but I'm not sure if he gave a single one correctly. Onward to Woking and to hopefully see our town get behind this FA Trophy run against Chester.

Karma. That's why you don't disrespect the FA Trophy and think you're something that you aren't. Your forum has been hilarious reading recently. Anyone would think you're regulars in the Champions League rather than a club that actually managed to get relegated from League 2.

Will Matt Rainey get the blame for this one too? :pmsl:

In a way I'm actually quite glad we went out of this early. Only 2 midweek games for the rest of the season, and our pitch is getting a nice long break between games. Lovely.

Added to £15 in and £10 in petrol you would've seen the worst match for a neutral all season here. Wouldn't've expected it though as there's a buzz around the camp and we've been playing some good footie.

Tonight's Results.

Cheltenham 0-3 Oxford City

Cheltenham have made sure their out.
Nantwich are through to a home tie against fellow Evo Stik Premier side Stourbridge.

In fairness, we missed enough chances in the 1st half to have battered Oxford into submission. The cynic in me would think they were told to miss...

and the cynic inside me thinks the chances missed are the reason one particular striker is on his way.

Bit of a daft thing to say but it's not really worth getting wound up about.

We all knew Kingsley was off to you months before the season was out as well, you were really the only option he had considering his personal circumstances.

Rain forecast in Halifax tomorrow.

Is there a chance of the game being postponed?

Worsnop making himself look an utter tail end before Saturday's game.

"it's up to us to show them why they're not here anymore and show that we're a better club".

Is an interesting way to describe a player who turned down a contract with you. Set up for a James winner from a Worsnop flap at a cross?
Agreed that he's made a fool of himself and he joins a long line of players making crass and ill-thought out comments in the local press.
"We're working hard to get out of the slump"
"The gaffer knows what he's doing"
"We're working hard on the training ground to cut out the defensive errors"
Blah, blah, fucking blah.

Yeah, It didn't really wind me up - it just came across as stupid. He just sounds thick throughout the interview. "We are professional footballers so have to be professional" is one of my favourite lines. Cheers Jon, anymore insight for us?

Biggest game of our season so far, tomorrow. We haven't made the quarter finals for 10 years. If we have to go to Oxford on Tuesday night then so be it. Just make sure we're still in the Trophy after 90 minutes.

As Macclesfield account for 50% of our home wins in the league this season(!), this is going to be a doddle (Nurse! More medication!)
