Fantastic result for Nantwich, couldn't be more happier for my true local side. Been many nantwich games but couldn't go today. 93rd minute winner!!

So delighted for them.

I've been to a fair few of their games, Matlock, Bradford park avenue home and away, Stourbridge - twice - as the game was called off and today.

Paid much more attention than I ever did when we got to the final.

Great to see a side of their size make it so far.

Would be excellent to go to Grimsby and mock them for still being stuck down here

We've never beaten Grimsby and we never will. Hope they go up, I'm bored of them now and would rather they they got promoted than FGR and Cheltenham. Season over for us. Now for a horrible three months of silence before our total implosion in the summer.

Would be nice to win the Trophy on the way out but it would be sickening if Paul keeps his job via winning the Trophy after crumbling in the playoffs.

I think that might have been our best chance of making the semi finals going to Gateshead and winning twice in the same season seems unlikely. A game we could well have done without.

Is the trophy still buffering up sides fixture lists?

So thrilled for Nantwich

If you were to beat Heed, how many do you reckon you would take to Wembley?

Fantastic from the Dabbers. Last minute winner aswell. Hoping they avoid Grimsby in the semi final. Been a fair few matches aswell from North West Counties games at Bacup Borough to the fa vase final at St Andrews and games vs FC United and Chester. Fingers crossed they make Wembley, but already they have made history.

I'd like to go to Wembley now. Best placed team to win it but I've no doubt we'll be drawn in the semis against Halifax/Gateshead and lose.

However, would be a sickener to lose at Wembley a week before and then have to turn up again a week later.

Halifax have never been to Wembley have they, although I'm sure their rugby league team has.

Only because Wembley wasn't quite ready to handle the Halifax masses when we reached the Conference Play Off final in 2006.

It'll be very interesting to see how many nantwich fans would go Wembley. A realistic guess would be 2-3k however I'm sensing a few Crewe fans would tag along with mates of mates. Anything above 5k would be fantastic if they get there.

Took 3000 odd to Birmingham for the vase final 10 years ago. Wembley is twice as far but theres a bigger lure for fans. Id guess about 4000 would go, plenty of which will be Crewe fans.

I think I might go. Like many on here have a soft spot for them. Nice small ground and they gave us our first real pasting as a reformed club in the year we won the Evo Stik Prem.

You can't hate Nantwich, having lived in Nantwich for 9 years, when Crewe were away and I wasn't going I'd regularly pop down to the weaver stadium. In fact the best league game I've ever been to in terms of enjoyment was a Nantwich game. Final day of the season a couple seasons back vs Blyth Spartans. The banter between the two sets of fans had me in tears. Can't beat a good bit of non league football.

Now i'm panicking that should we get to the final, Football Purist and some of his Crewe boys might infiltrate our end and start a full scale riot........

You can't hate Nantwich,

You certainly can't. At least you can't when they bend over and let Lee Gregory and Jamie Vardy go to town on them and score 6 in second half after 0-0 at half time. Ah memories. :bdick:

If Nantwich get Halifax I'm sure they could take them. Gateshead worry me, they have a talented professional squad. Then again Nantwich were the better side vs dover, it wasn't a smash and grab so to say.

I quite enjoyed it- the second half, anyway. The first half the wind was by far the most important factor, and both teams continued to loft the ball into the air despite this.

I suppose as a neutral it would have been good. However we were absolute dogturd. Full credit to Bognor though, their fans turned out for it - there were a lot more than I expected!
