I can confirm that my principles remain intact and I will not be attending the Tin Pot Jamboree Day. :bdick:

I see it your way too, but I have to be honest here and say that I did go to see us play Gosport after I had said I wouldn't go. Didn't take the game too seriously or got excited at all, but that could be because we were only facing a Conf South side and not one of the big clubs. Just an nice and relaxing day out then.

Anyone know if this will be a pay on the day affair?

I'm in London that evening so may pop along to [ChrisFGRmode on] 'Wemmers'[ChrisFGRmode off] in the afternoon.

I would expect our figure to bump up significantly after yesterday, i reckon we'll take somewhere around 10,000 now for one big party!

It's going to be a bit of a unique experience on Sunday really, going to a game and not really being bothered if your team wins or not. So, so much different to yesterday. It's just going to be one big party I think but I reckon I'll avoid the pub I went in pre-match yesterday. £10.20 for a pint of Strongbow and a coke!!!

Even for London that's extortionate!

We've just doubled our sales for the FA Trophy Final since Sunday. We had only sold 4000 before Sunday but now we're past the 8000 mark. Hopefully get 10000 by the weekend which will be a great amount really considering we only played there on Sunday and it'll just be one big party I think and hardly any Grimsby fans will be that bothered about the score!

I'm not sure if the FA will kick us out of the competition though before Sunday, as it's only open to non-league clubs.

Great now to think that we're the same distance away from Newcastle and Aston Villa in the football pyramid as we are from Halifax. :bg:

Tremendous effort! Especially when you consider a long trip down to Braintree followed by Wembley! Have a good one and see you all down in london :milk:

Do you reckon many of your fans will stay on to watch The Trophy Final Dalts? I know that they have to allow for extra-time and penalties but if The Vase is won in normal time it will probably all be over more than 2 hours before our game kicks off!

Do you know if you'll be allowed to leave the stadium and get back in again as 2 hours hanging around inside the stadium will be a bit of a drag.

The buses that are running from around Herefordshire will not be staying for the 2nd game and personally I don't know many at all that will, I'm going by train on the saturday and trains back sunday night are not the best! Don't think I could stay for the game even if I wanted to. Hope your lot win mind as my boss is a mariner and will be making the journey down sunday.

Not sure what the deal is with going in and out? It hasn't exactly been made clear has it?

I know for last Sunday's game it would have been very, very tight to catch the last train back from Kings Cross had the game gone to ET and pens. I went down on the train on the Saturday but had to be back at work on the Monday morning so arranged a lift back rather than ending up being stranded at KX. As it worked out it wouldn't have been a problem getting back, but you never know.

I did email Wembley a few weeks ago regarding the issue of leaving the stadium during the day but despite a couple of further emails the reply I got was just as a general rule rather than for the Vase/Trophy day and said that once you were inside then you couldn't leave.

Exact total sold as of lunchtime today was 8555 so hopefully we'll reach 5 figures on the day.

They'd better let us out and back again later - wtf is there to do for two hours inside Wembley between matches?!

I'd love to be going, but finances dictate I cannot. I'm upping sticks and moving back up north, so with that, doing both Braintree legs and Wembley is a bridge too far for me.

Bad planning IMO to have it in the same pay day period as the play offs.

I hope all will be fine but it could be interesting on Sunday. I see there's a thread on the Halifax forum about their fans meeting at The Globe in Baker Street on Sunday at 12am. Well this was the time I got there and it was absolutely rammed, inside and out with Grimsby fans, so much so that I didn't even bother trying to get in to get served. The picture below was taken about 11am and as you can see it was already pretty busy by then and most will be meeting there again this week.

I just hope that there won't be any trouble as it would be a shame to end the season on a bad note.

There was a lot of trouble at the Globe last year against Bristol Rovers as soon as their fans turned up.

I don't even know why people go there, it's absolutely tiny and such an unsuitable location IMO.

I took this video that day, a few moments later bottles were thrown between fans. The police then charged the Grimsby fans and backed the entire lot of us into the corner of the beer garden. Baring in mind this is 11am on the street of one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city. Not a suitable location for hundreds of football fans.

I think it's just because it's so handy and easy to get to Wembley from there really. For as long as I've known it's always been a place where fans meet before heading onto Wembley. This is going back even to before the Wetherspoons pub across the road was open. It just seems to be some sort of tradition.

We've sold just sort of 10k so far and still I'm seeing floods of people changing their minds at the last minute and going.

When you consider we were there last week and this is our FITH trip to new Wembley and 7th to Wembley as a whole, 10k is a monumental effort.

I think the idea was to meet there because the police had allocated both you guys and Hereford pubs and not us. Therefore, people decided on the Globe. We have now been allocated about 20 pubs apparently so people will be going all over. I can see there being trouble like you say, though if hundreds of both sets of fans descend on the Globe! I just hope if someone does throw any bottles, they are full so that I don't have to pay the ridiculous London prices for a beverage!

I've not seen any mention anywhere of pubs being allocated to us for Sunday. Last week there was no allocation of pubs at all and fans of both teams were free to use whatever pub they wanted.
