The guy who does commentary for Chester is hilarious. Post match summary was to the effect of "Chester having an off day but Forest Green now well on their way to a league and cup double for which they're surely favourites." He couldn't resist a dig at us.
That on BBC Merseyside? It'll be Neil Turner.

What did he say?

Not a whole lot really other than a version of what I said. They were solid efficient, you were off the pace supposedly.
Oh right, I don't think it's a dig, I just think he rates FGR. He was praising them after the league game here earlier in the season as well.

That's 10 consecutive defeats against FGR (if you include the season we won this league and the home defeat the year we folded). We are a decent side, but always fail against dirty cheating teams.

What a day! Just got through the front door but a thoroughly deserved win at Southport today (cracking town and club by the way). Every player put a shift in but Ricky Wellard was different class, superb individual skill to set up the first and then blasting in the winner from 25 yards.

Gutted for the Southport defender who snapped a tendon in his patella in the 2nd half. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and that he can be back playing next season.

Not at our best today and killed off by two quality strikes from Kelly. Lynch was unsighted for the second but the first was excellent. I've always liked him but doesn't seem to have featured much of late, been injured or just out of favour?

Out of favour. Might be back in favour now though, especially with Frear on his way. Quality player imo.

You were the better side in the first half. Second half I thought we were just getting going but that injury to Josh Thompson affected us badly - not only had we lost our captain, longest-serving player and main centre-half, I think we lost the desire mentally to compete in the match.

Cracking turn-out by your fans, and that was one hell of a finish for the winner. Good luck for the rest of the competition.

Easy win and quite surprised at how easy it was. Theoretically this should have been a really close game as us and Ebbsfleet are neck and neck in our two leagues but they didn't turn up today. They had 2 real chances one which was a free header that Palmer easily saved and the other was a free kick that hit the post. Other than that and it was all us. Debutant Ezewele walked passed the RB and scored from on the by line, then McQuilkin's long range drive was turned in by Williams. Second Half Andre Brown found a gap at the near post.

Joe. If you guys wanna get promoted I'd suggest getting a new keeper. 2 of our goals shouldn't have gone in and his kicking was awful all afternoon.

Here's our first goal

Shame, you're in a good place to judge the rest of the league, that looks some waste of talent to sit bored on the sidelines.

Highlight of todays game at Prenton park was definately the the Beckhamesque South Park goal and the celebrations that ensued. Other than that it was a very easy win against a spirited South Park.

Didn't go yesterday but sounded typical of us and McMahon. The guy hasn't a clue. Come out and apologised to the fans who made the trip and put all the blame on the players, taking none himself. I suppose the whole "win together, lose together" only works when we win.

To be honest with you mate, we probably wouldn't be in the play offs if it wasn't for our keeper, Nathan Ashmore. I still miss Preston Edwards mind.

Half decent following from us too by the sounds of it, 140 making the trip.

Cracking win for Dulwich at Whitehawk yesterday, if only they could just get themselves promoted out of the effing Ryman League.. it'd be great to see them in the Conference.

Wasn't expecting that at all!
1 down at half time with 6 changes and then we turn it around to win 3-1.
Great for some of the squad players to stand up and give the Cowleys something to think about.
Fair play to the 169 Imps who went, hope they all have tickets for Tuesday as they deserve one!
1 defeat in 21 now, amazing!

Yous completely deserved it, we created barely anything after the first goal and I don't know what the Cowleys said to your players at half time but you came out looking a completely different side.

It's worrying when you're expecting to push for the playoffs but you can't beat a team who have rested over half of their team. I also don't know what happened to us in the cups because we used to be a decent cup team but now we have lost to Worcester, Halifax, Alfreton and a weakened Lincoln side all at home in the last two years and it's so frustrating because I love the cups

Interesting 2-2 draw at Worthing. It was obvious that the home team are having a great run, very confident. Glad to still be in the hat with no injury concerns ahead of Tuesday (despite the best efforts of a couple of Worthing players towards the end) and no suspensions.

Welling away, one of our bogey sides. Don't think we've ever beaten them.

Barrow away. Time to show we've improved from last season and can compete with the National League teams.

FGR at home...at least it's at home, but would've liked a lower league team visiting (or a short away trip)!

The match comes after home games against Lincoln and Forest Green, so which Barrow you face probably hinges on how we fare in those two games. We could be back on a high or at rock bottom.

Some County fans will be along shortly to tell you a trip to Edgeley Park is your "cup final", which I suppose it is, with you shoved into a restricted view seat because the away end has been condemned, stewarded like a league game, with poor refreshment outlets.
