Tranmere, Lincoln and York through. I fancy a trip to York personally, the parking is a nightmare at Lincoln ;)

Dulwich were excellent and deserved at least a draw. Replay will not be easy, also means one less game for Jennings to fit in before he heads back.

Got out of jail at times today, allowed them three gilt-edged chances in the first half but got away with it.

Superb finish from Joe Ward and the whole momentum shifted. Think we can beat any of the remaining sides.

That means the Chester re-arranged game will have to move again I think and Maidstone will also move.

1st leg of the semi is the day we're at Arsenal.

Amazing second half from Rovers. Will worry about another player out for the season and fixture pile-ups in the morning.

i don't think we'll see chipmunx again in this thread, if there's one thing he hates talking about it's cup encounters between barrow and tranmere

He and his barrow mates can concentrate on not making the play offs now!

On the bright side they did beat us in the cup!! After what ive heard about some of their supporters today ( and its suggested some of ours) there was a distinct lack off respect shown when kirby broke his leg.

Fully merited 5-1 win for Tranmere today, Barrow never got a sniff all 2nd half. Shockingly bad injury to Kirby was the catalyst to Tranmere turning the game on its head. Barrow were set up to stop Tranmere from playing football with lots of niggling fouls which the ref was happy to let go all afternoon. Pleasingly Tranmere outmuscled Barrow at their own game.

I know some decent Barrow fans at work, but from what I've seen, they have a sizeable minority of wannabes. Let's not let it reflect on the rest of them though.

The Lincoln Lizards as DC calls have got us through to the semi finals!
Raggett, Waterfall, Arnold, Woodyard and Rhead all had the weekend off.
Our loanee Joe Ward did well again as did Knott and Ginnelly when he came on.
Howe and McCombe did well too.

I heard we didn't want to win the FA Trophy anyway.
Only caught the post-match on the radio, and the commentator said he couldn't remember seeing a game before where a team conceded 5 all from their own mistakes. Think there'll be some hangover for Tuesday's game, which is a tough one at Guiseley.

so i think the semi-finals are the same weekend as fa cup quarters?
Tranmere get Lincoln so I'd imagine Lincoln will forfeit the arsenal game because they have more chance of winning the trophy than fa cup? :bg:

Just back from Dulwich. Good setup there and very friendly supporters. As for the match, we started well and went 2 up thanks to 2 individual (mainly wind assisted) Summerfield goals. After that we seemed to switch off and Dulwich were all over us from then onwards. We were lucky to get anything from that, too many players not quite at it, but as long as we're in the draw then I'll take it.

Wonder if anyone will bother turning up for the semi final at Prenton park. Attendances have been really poor for us thus far, even with admission slashed.
Not that bothered who we get in the semi, if i could choose it would be Mac, York, Lincoln, Dulwich, in that order.

We have had the three highest FA Trophy attendances this season. Today was the highest, our game against South Park was the second highest, shortly followed by our home game against Chelmsford, and we'll get more for the semi.

Ok, they're still not great by our standards, but we're within 180 minutes of Wembley so a few might change their mind about the competition. I don't think we'll take that many if we do get there... I wish they'd play it at a neutral 20-30k capacity ground rather than an empty Wembley, but saying that, I wouldn't want to deny the players the chance to run out at our national stadium.

Tranmere, Lincoln and York, who said the trophy was tinpot?

Would Tranmere v Lincoln be the biggest most proper FA Trophy Final ever?

Barrow probably edged the first half, but not sure what happened at h/t and there didn't seem to be any change of tactics or personnel to alter the flow of the game. Don't think I'd attribute all our goals to mistakes though

Decent atmosphere in the game today, mainly the crowd trying to lift the players after Kirby's sickening injury. Good turnout from Barrow, more than they bought for the (midweek) league game. Depending on opponent, we'll probably get similar for the semi. We'd stand the best chance against Dulwich over 2 legs, otherwise York my preferred opponent.
