Not sure how any of the quoted is disrespectful.

Anyway, back on topic...

I hope for a Lincoln-Tranmere Final, it would be a superb spectacle where we can both hopefully celebrate winning promotion together.

Looking at Lincoln's fixtures the only free date to play us will be the 25th of April.

Leaves us with FGR, Lincoln & Tranmere as our last 3 games :eyes:

We'd take anywhere between 20-25K - popping our Wembley virginity and all that.

ps Belmont is quite correct, I'm not at all confident we'll win our SF. Can't stop us hoping though!

Hopefully Dulwich beat Maccy tomorrow, otherwise our game on the 11th will also be off.

Just back from Dulwich. Good setup there and very friendly supporters. As for the match, we started well and went 2 up thanks to 2 individual (mainly wind assisted) Summerfield goals. After that we seemed to switch off and Dulwich were all over us from then onwards. We were lucky to get anything from that, too many players not quite at it, but as long as we're in the draw then I'll take it.

It was a great advert for non-league football in general and the FA trophy in particular. I was really worried after you went 2-0 up inside the first 20 minutes up with 2 fab goals form Summerfield. We looked very nervous and I thought you might completely hammer us at that point! But once we got our passing game going I thought we were comfortably the better team for the last 70 minutes and could easily have won it. I'm hoping to get to the replay tomorrow and would love to have the opportunity to play Tranmere in the semis! Really enjoyed meeting some very friendly Macc supporters on Saturday!

The second leg of our quarter final vs Dulwich (just getting practice for the semis) is off due to snow, and heavy rain forecast.

From a purely selfish point of view I'm quite delighted the Macc-Dulwich game has been postponed as tonight was literally the one night in the next few weeks it was impossible for me to go.

Does that Macc postponement now mean their Saturday league game is off?

Nope, been moved to next Tuesday, when we were supposed to be playing York. So therefore that and Gateshead (who we were originally going to play today) need sorting, and if we are to get through finding a date for the York game, with us both having an extra 2 Saturday games moved to midweek, will be fun.

Edit: Apparently the York game has already been assigned the 28th March; no fun needed whatsoever.

Here's hoping for Dulwich to win next Tuesday then, otherwise we have 2 weeks in a row with no league game (supposed to be Macc on the 11th, then Lincoln on the 18th) and we can't even bring the Sutton game forward to the 11th because, with Lincoln still in the FAC, York V Sutton can still go ahead on the 11th

Very unusual for the FA Trophy to be causing a fixture pile up like this.......

Could end up even worse though. If Macclesfield get through they have 4 games postponed (Gateshead, York, us and Dover), with 6 available midweek dates (though one is on the 14th between the two FAT fixtures, and 2 are either side of the bank holiday double header so would mean 3 game weeks for both clubs.
Lincoln have just the 2 currently yet to be assigned, Chester and us. They only have 3 midweek dates left available, and 2 of them are the bank holiday double header ones, along with the 25th April (considering the last day is the 29th).
However, should Lincoln pull off the impossible and knock out Arsenal in the FAC, that's another game postponed. On the 22nd April.....against Macclesfield.

I think this is more fun that the football. Should simply get 3 points for getting a rearranged game played at the expense of rearranging another one.

As usual, no rewards for being successful.

There might have to be a Thursday game thrown in somewhere then, a few seasons ago we had to play Gateshead on a Thursday night when they had loads of their games called off because of their drainage and a couple of seasons ago we had to go to Dartford on a Thursday making it Tuesday Thursday Saturday games that week, Hurst put the reserves out at Dartford because of it and we lost 1-0.

I find it interesting in terms of forum dynamic this season - when we crap five seasons on the bounce, everybody loved us.

+3 for postponements due to your success
-3 for home postponements due to being unplayable

Seems fair :)

Why does the national league finish stupidly early as in late april? No wonder there is fixture chaos. Imagine if we get a cold snap in march which can happen ive seen frost at aintree in april., teams may end up playing 3 times a week

Crap for 5 seasons in a row is being nice, Crazy!

Our Chief Exec has just been on Radio Lincs and there's a 15% rule in the Trophy apparently so York will be getting the SW at our place (1,700-1,800) and we're getting 2,000 at their place.

Absolutely no way we would take more than a few hundred to Lincoln, though having missed out tonight because I'm in Brighton I'm hoping to go myself.
