First game. No. I wasn't a subscriber. Still not either. Most certainly not taking tips. Second goal was dirt to concede but I was pretty tilted and pressing like a nut as I had like 15 in game mins left, look at the stats at the end He conveniently doesn't show where I hit the post either.

SIF Gomez MOTM Dzeko

Very solid defensively, both centre halves and Khedira intercept almost everything. Gomez is very good and insanely fast, possibly the quickest player I've used. I want to use one of those IF Mertens' but I've only got like 360k in total, so he'll do. For me, the midfielders get a bit bypassed and aren't really involved.

On another note, do you lot think there'll be something for St Patrick's Day like usual? I've stocked up on a fair few Irish players, hopefully it's not wasted.

Gomez is absolute murder to play against. Him Mertens and Dybala as a front three makes me vomit. Word on Pjanic though, from my experience he makes a much better AM than CM - when you get the coins get Nainggolan also, he's a different class. Just upgraded to his SIF which has wiped me of coins. On 17,000 with no investments left Might shove them all into McLean and Doyle.

I'd strongly imagine there'll be a SBC or DKT requirements for Ireland. Talking of Ireland SIF Coleman makes the perfect substitute, he can play anywhere!

My sides for this WL. That Serie A LB is discard price but with shadow he gets iirc 91 pace and 85 defending to go with his 79 physical and the fact that he's 6 foot 3 and has M/M. Should be a solid defensive LB.

Just need my WL rewards tonight and I can buy IF Gueye.

Sometimes you just lose a game and nobody quite understands how it happens.

Wrong. Cannavaro opened the scoring, deflecting a pass over De Gea. He then scored a long ranger, a long range free kick and a 90th min breakaway. I missed three 1-v-1s with Butland. Sometimes it just doesn't go right.

Was planning on selling him tomorrow. Don't really fancy going Bundesliga again for awhile and the really good strong links for him are a bit pricey.


I mean I'll happily spend bearing on 200k for a striker but not a defender or a more defensive minded box to box midfielder

First game of this WL I just played. Against a asshole who not only played 5ATB (2 of his 3 CBS were Smalling and Bailly too) had 2 defensive mids for his midfield and seemed to play ultra defensive too.

I'm not saying that the possession percentages at the end of the game are calculated wrongly but the most passes any of his players has was 3 out of 7 attempts. I had SBC Payet on 39 out of 43 and Fekir ahd Lacazette both on 31 out of 33 attempts

You've almost hit my level of passing I think the highest I've had was 41 completed passes by a single player, always keep an eye to see if I've beaten it.

I'm currently 5-1. Opening game was a 1-0 loss, very even game against a good opponent. Googled his gamer tag after (always do against good players to try and work out what level they're at) and he has a crappy YouTube channel, gold/elite borderline player. Since then I've played people who I dunno how they've qualified, three of my wins came thanks to first half rage quits. I've only conceded one other goal since the opening match and my opening opponent had more shots against me than the next five combined - not cos I'm defending well either!

Couple of quite funny goals though, Mertens missed a penalty, it hit the post and bounced in off of De Gea's leg and Tolisso's 2mph shot was creeping over the line, until opponents Ramos' dribbled it in for me.

Set an offside trap manually. Should always be the first thing you do at kick off!

Never seen someone react to a goal with a ragequit as this guy just now. It didn't even have the goal as a replay to watch it was so quick

I got through with Icardi and had a shot which hits the bar and trickles down and away slowly. Gomez beats his rushing keeper to the ball but the angles a bit shite and he has Smalling on the line so I try a lob shot and hope for the best. Smalling runs off the line to the ball and his Keeper is back up and dives to punch the ball. He punches it straight to the feet of Mertens who's free now Smalling ran towards the ball and tapped it I.

My biggest weakness is going on tilt. Had a dead game thanks to a Boateng own goal early on - Perisic's low driven pass hit his leg and went in at the near post. Then I immediately lost possession from kick off and one through ball later it's 2-0. Sent me on a three game losing streak where I played dreadful really. Had a break and a shower, come back and absolutely thrash my next opponent. I need to learn when to stop.

I do the same with poker, grind out well, go into profit and then lose it over hotheadedness

18 games down with a record of 11-7. Now I've Been doing another spread sheet of my results for patterns and it's quite telling really:

Team 1: W:7 L:2 GF:18 GA:10 - A nice mix of play from all my players, really good synergy and Mertens is a game changer. Tolisso and Nainggolan run the midfield superbly.

Team 2: W:4 L:5 GF:9 GA:9 - Aguero has a solitary goal (but four assists) and De Bruyne is literally carrying my attack. Firmino has a goal and an assist, Hagi doesn't have any - I've noticed he is crazy strong against weak opponents but against better players he kinda goes missing. Same with Aguero, when he has space he's excellent but his strength is really his big problem. The link up in the midfield is awful and left back is exploited quite badly really, Sandro has to play there. This team is fine in seasons where there's a little more space, but against predominantly defensive opponents it's really hard to break them down.

Going to revert back to the one team for the rest of the WL whilst I come up with a new team.

Theoretically fine. The DMs worry me a little that there isn't a box to box presence, which has been my big problem with using Kante and Modric together.

Change the futbin part to futhead and sure. Also, Smalling hasn't been very good for me, I'd recommend Bailly.

The replacement squad I'm building revolves around OTW Higuain, SIF Gomez, Dybala... it looks amazeballs. Left back still a problem, will either play Brehme or IF Sandro off chem depending on how much I have when I sell. Hoping Kante has an amazing game on Monday...

First game of the day, fuck me.

Dude had a 4-3-3 (4) with Vidal, Nainggolan, Di Maria, Dybala, Reus and Higuain. Don't think I managed to get out of my half for the first 60 mins. Despite that he had only the one goal with Fahrmann making a number of good saves. 70th min he goes through on goal, I have no choice and it's a red card for Alaba... (that's the problem with one team ffs). Move to 3-4-1-2 with no right mid, De Bruyne as a sub this time once again bails me out, 1-1 with my only effort on goal that was of note. move to 5-2-1-2 with Griezmann and Mertens at full back and Higuain as the sole striker this time, De Buyne sets up Higuain and then grabs one for himself.

I urge anyone who hasn't, use De Bruyne at CAM, he's a machine.

Edit: SIF Gomez made his debut as a half time sub. Within 4 mins he has a goal, few mins later an assist and boom, rage quit. Never seen someone crap themselves more than when Gomez and Mertens play down the flanks.

IF Hector makes an excellent Alaba replacement at half the price.

If you're thinking about using IF Tolisso he's great for 75 mins, but stamina is an issue.
