Planning on making this for this weekend league Relentless Look Out There Are Llamas, any recommendations?

Tbh I'd swap out Hamsik for someone like SMS and make it a 4231 narrow in game. Allan told to stay back with SMS being box to box. Mertens, Dybala and Cuadrado as the CAMs behind Perisic.

Couldn't win anymore using the expensive teams. Went back to much cheaper sides.

Other than the goalies the blues are untradeable I think.
Think in the past few days I've won about 20 with these two teams and drawn one. Don't remember losing any.

I agree with the formation change. Not sure whether it suits your game though JJ. 4222 also with Dybala and Mertens up top with Perisic and Cuadrado as the CAMs is an option if you’re thinking about a formation change.

4. Would've got promoted but then I decided to go big with my team and then had the losing streak.

Back to winning ways with this cheaper team but got the flu atm so didn't have enough energy to grind out enough games to get any higher before the new division week.

Every game is a fucking chore this high up. Fortunately the rank 3 tradeable rewards look the best so I won’t have to put in too much effort. Played against Braga’s esport player and everyone I Google seems to have a Twitter or shitty YouTube channel/ Twitch devoted to Fifa. I’m actually having to play really defensive to grind out a result. Everyone is running Pogba/ Kante/ Mbappe.

Normally I hold possession in the opposition half, carve out the chance, now I’m lucky if I have over 55pc possession and can create more than a couple of clear cut chances a game. Everything seems to be a 1-1 draw - guess I’ve levelled out! Should make me better though.

For once looking forward to playing WL, it’s much more relaxing. - in before Gold 2. Imo this game will suffer due to the lack of a piss about casual mode.

I’ve missed two, there was on where you had to do Division Rivals during WL so I skipped that, and the first Squad Battles ‘cos I hate squad battles. If I do them all I will probs go for Lallana or El Sharawaay depending on if I get any more untradeable Prem players (Bailly, Bernardo...)

Why is it when I pop on for a couple of games because I don't have that much time I do really well and can't keep the momentum going?

Got nephew over and he's just gone out to the shops so I sneak on for a couple of games while I'm free. Play the WL and I win 6-1 and then go 3-0 up against a dude with a 1mil+ team who ragequits within 30 mins.


Can't really play anymore as I can't pause the game obviously and I might get called away at any moment with him

Always find the first few games easier though due to the form matchmaking.

I'm W6 L0 currently, GF:24 GA:5. Dybala is absolute destroying thus far. Mahrez is a welcome addition from the bench, he's so good to dribble with.

Weird game. So after an evening of Red Dead, I played a couple of games. First one the dude I was playing was on speed. I can only presume he had attacking full backs, high line, fast build up... Going into the 90th minute I was 5-4 down, fouled in the area for a penalty. 5-5. Extra time.

I switch to my defensive formation, however on 110 minutes I'm 6-5 down. Went to my 4-3-3 attack... won 9-6 after extra time... Helped his players were utterly stamina fucked.

Loaded up FIFA 18 after about a month and found that ultimate team is still running apart from the weekend league. Is that normal? In the past didn't they just shut it down as soon as the next game was released?

Haven't got 19 yet but there's 30% off in the PlayStation store. Worth 40 quid?

Nah they usually keep the servers up for 2 or 3 years I do believe.

Honestly in its current state it's hard for me to recommend it. It's a one step forward (pace Nerf) two steps back kinda thing for this year.

It’s conceptually the greatest Fifa ever made. However they’ve mined it straight from the ground without sorting out the actual finer points. It badly needs a patch imo.

Finesse shots, AI defending (don’t think it’s as bad as people say imo)/ fouling and player switching are probably the biggest issues.

Think I'll stick with 18 for now then. Stopped playing after losing 9 in a row in online seasons. I was 0-0-6 in Div 4, when I loaded it up last night after ages away, got 4 wins in a row and stayed up, now won 7 on the bounce. Geddin there.

Currently 10-3 this WL.

I think that's my best so far this FIFA. Which considering I'm switching between the two lowest rated/cheapest teams I've used is pretty ridiculous.


Dunno if it's that I play better with low rated players or my opponents take these teams less seriously and don't play as defensive as when they come up against high rated attackers.

I'm 11-3 and getting completely frustrated. Worst WL so far. Loss 1 I had speed up lag the whole game, couldn't do anything about either of his goals because the game was buffering. Loss 3 was to a full icon team. Classic.

Tackle the guy 3 times and he keeps the ball. Then shoots from 30 yards with a weak shot but my defender runs out and hits it with his back to send it past the keeper. That kinda thing.

It's the only game I've had lag on this year, not a clue where it was from. My internets kind of crap though and randomly cuts out at times so maybe something to do with that.

I had that earlier, except it was also from a kick off run for double infuriation.
