Agreed, similarly my birth place, West Kirby is fairly close to a coast but on the opposite side of Wirral.
West Kirby feels coastal without a doubt, and Birkenhead does to an extent but the open sea still feels a bit away, I think in part because with Bidston Hill in the way you can't really see the sea from there, you can glimpse it from Liverpool which feels more coastal than Birkenhead.

I live in Tewkesbury - in 2007 it became an island (I wasn't living here then).

If Torquay come up and Sutton don’t, I’m pretty sure we’ll have more distance to travel next season overall. Plenty of teams out West next year, especially if Tranmere or Morecambe win the playoffs. Only four (max 5) sides in the South East, with the other three being the dullest League sides in the entire region. I mean, imagine being more dull than Watford? And yet they all manage it.
You know you've been lower league all your life when you actually think a trip to Watford is something that you could only dream of.

I used to shag a redhead from Bushey. Closest anyone from Orient has got to scoring in Watford since 1980.

You’d be in the Premier league /Championship if that was the case!

Never seen us play Exeter or Orient although been to the grounds as a neural.

is that what was used in the building of Krap Notnerp
Stephen Fry would burst into tears if he ever reads your posts. Bereft at the thought that he no longer can claim to be the wittiest in the land.

West Kirby is the posh side of the Wirral. Boz must be a toff. No wonder he is polite.

The conduct of the team this season has been amazing, we’ve had no sendings off and no players suspended all season and none of our squad contracted Covid. The discipline and togetherness shown to achieve both is something I could only dream of for my club.

To be fair there's not much you can do to absolutely prevent Covid, if Cambridge had no cases then they've been lucky and this may have contributed (though certainly only in a lesser way) to your good season but I wouldn't put it alongside no suspensions (fair enough) as something to be proud of. Other teams, with the exception of Grimsby who brought it on themselves have had outbreaks and the FA have investigated these and only punished Grimsby for improper measures.

Where I was going with this was that it's been easy to catch covid with ill discipline, the players have lived like hermits to make sure they didn't bring it into the squad. We had low cases here in the autumn but then it pushed up alot around Christmas and January in line with the rest of the country. Avoiding it was a decent effort, some clubs didn't. I believe one of the factors in having such a good season was being able to get our fixtures on and not having a backlog - this was one contributing factor that we could control.

Let's not forget the clubs who faked covid due to injury problems. That went well didn't it.

Yeah I mean ok so you played by the rules and dodged Covid but on the flip side of the coin, our players are now really good at darts so who are the real losers here?

Good luck against Morecambe in the final if you get there. We will not be in it if Hill is in charge. If we do go through Adams needs sacking.
28 shots on target in the last 13 league games and 8 of them were in 2 games against Colchester away and Barrow home.
Score twice and we are screwed. Hill literally blamed everybody but himself for the garbage we have produced recently but his title is Manager so he is supposed to manage the team.
He couldn't manage to shit in his pants if he ate curried beans for 24 hours straight.
Out of interest is that a true stat about 28 shots on target in the last 13 games ????
If so no wonder you think Hill was a double agent , even tho he's been sacked.

Right boys and girls , despite mainly reading rather than posting , thanks for the well wishes and the entertainment.
For what its worth (and I acknowledge its very little) the pandemic helped us in the first half of the season when the sardonic vitriolic Wanderers fans may have got their wish of potting the manager by turning on the team .
Anyway the quality of football was soooo much better than the last time we were there in the late 80s so by that, everyone has improved (and yes unfortunately I was there too, sorry old newport) .
Hope Im never here again but also hope to see you all further up the pyramid .

The EFL is upside down ....etc !
Good Luck and stay safe x

Yes, he blamed the players for not being able to play to his instructions. Don't think he was a double agent. Certain he thinks he is a lot better than he actually is.
The story coming out, verified by several people, is that after his interview he stormed into the changing room and launched into a nasty verbal attack on the players who started giving it back ending in at least one player going for him and having to be dragged away from him.
The players clearly did not get along with him.
