Well that goal wasn’t predictable at all.

No way FGR go down on this display. They have given us more problems than almost everyone we've played

Our commentary went wonky during the sending off, said it was a high tackle on our forum?
He put his head in where it hurts. No malicious intent. That said the camera angle wasn’t great either. I’d have said a yellow.

Was being serious. Doidge, Marsh Brown Brown Wishardr have caused lots of probs they could easy have got a couple and still could. Def a ton of worse sides than FGR.

Not even getting a shot in and wasting all our dead balls. Didn't expect much beforehand, give ourselves a bit of hope but not really at the races against ten men. Table doesn't lie then.

I thought they were pretty ordinary to be honest.
Solid win; but that was probably about 40% of how Luton can play.

My point exactly. Ordinary is well above bad. They're a mid table side for me and will beat lots of teams esp if they can shore it up at the back. Wasn't saying they looked like beating us but they caused us problems. We coped generally but Stech made at least one superb save

Nolan did his research on how we play against ten men and sneakily got your lad to karate kick poor Dan Wishart to see out the second half or we'd have won four one.

Story of our season. We look good in parts and are full of running, but are let down by some terrible individual errors, a few substandard players and a manager who is reluctant to play direct.

Should also mention that that is about the youngest team I can remember us fielding since I started following Rovers, as far as I am aware five of the players are 20, another is 21 and one of them is only 17. We were missing Osbourne and Bennett, plus loanee Iacovitti, who would probably all have started if available...not sure it would have made too much difference, but you never know, a little more experience might just have counted. I thought that those who did play put in a really good shift and should be proud of their efforts, Luton probably came expecting a cricket score but in the end were probably a bit lucky to win 2-0.

That was really funny watching Luton's second goal because that could have happened 4 or 5 times against us last week the way their keeper and back 4 were fucking around all game, good to say they learned absolutely nothing from it.

Tough break for Stacey. Crazy that arguably our best player this season now faces a three game ban and it could be his season over. James will come in and will be hard to dislodge as he ooked as if he hasn't missed a heartbeat

Not the greatest performance but a job well done especially after going down to 10 men. Didn't think FGR were that bad. They had to adapt their game to stop our threat going forward which worked well at times. They got players behind the ball quickly when we had possession and didn't give our strikers time to do someone with it. Hylton for example had 3 defenders on him directly he received the ball. Even if we don't play well we have players on the pitch who can score. If its not our strikers then our midfield or defence can equally pop up with a goal. That ability is the difference this season. Sheehans goal was a well worked corner with a decent finish. Staceys sending off gives NJ a problem. JJ is more than a decent replacement who will try and make the position his own. Will be interesting to see what he does when Stacey can play again. Next week will be a different kettle of fish :bg: with the visit of inform Grimsby. I'm sure after this result the lads will be up for it in front of another big crowd at KR. Bring it on!

How are people arguing that that wasn't a red?! His foot is studs up at chest height!

Also typical of someone like Hylton and the rest of the team to celebrate after a goal like that. Well disrespectful.

Wasn’t there so can’t teally comment but looks a red to me. Weirdly your best mate Hylton was the only one in the post match interviews who thought it was a red. Good oppurtunity for Justin to get some games now however with Cuthbert and Stacey out, Mullins made of paper mache and held together by magic and Sheehan being 80% leg strapping, I do worry for out defensive options.

Efficient win, good to see one of our corner routines came off. Even better to see that both goals are clearly the result of things that we are specifically working on, scored a similar goal when the West Ham keeper tried a Cruyff turn in the box the other week.

On to the next one.

Why shouldn't they celebrate a goal just because the FGR keeper fucked up, or am I missing something? :dk:

I think Urban is playing up to his hatred of Luton/Hylton persona and isn’t being entirely serious.

If he isn’t then I’ve given him far too much credit...

Half and half (I do dislike Hylton though - which I think is a completely fair opinion to hold. The mans a toad)

Luton could have shown a little taste and not gone mental. It *is* quite disrespectful.

You see it all the time when keepers fuck up - it's a bit of a dick move to celebrate a goal that you've only gained through someone else's misfortune.
