Im guessing there is quite a high chance we will see postponements this weekend with the rain from the last few days.

Burton seem to have started to find some form with two wins in a row. What has the new manager done? We played on Tuesday but are starting to get a few bodies back, particularly in midfield which should help massively. Not sure how the team will line up as I think we may bring at least one of our previously injured lads back to start.

Last time we played at Burton was a cup game where we worked 4-2 I believe. We are shipping plenty and scoring plenty at the moment. A score draw for me. A win takes us 2 points away from the seemingly magical 50 point mark.

I feel like we're at high risk of an absolutely dismal "after the lord mayor's show" type performance after our exertions in the Tinpot yesterday.

I say "the lord mayor's show" but we were actually dogshite and completely robbed Bradford, but regardless, it looked like a pretty energy-sapping game to play on a boggy pitch.

We actually have pretty decent strength in depth in the squad, and limited injuries at the moment, so we should be able to rotate.

But no-one enjoys getting booted off the park by Stevenage, we had one player pick up a season-ending injury in the reverse fixture so hopefully no more of those please.

Would definitely take a draw right now, but by the same token they're far from invincible and actually below us in the form table at the moment.

But yeah, not expecting much.

Can we end our poor form against Charlton? Could be a big weekend of games for the top 3. Derby away to Barnsley and Bolton away to Blackpool. Bar one of the last kicks of the game we were in total control of the match at FP. We'll need to be at our best and take our chances, but we've started to be more ruthless lately.

Port Vale for us, who sound as though they've played better in the last couple of games since Moore came in.

Mixed injury news for us with Draper and Jackson still out, Hamilton a doubt having aggrivated his knee injury last weekend and Hackett only likely to be fit to play some part rather than all. We have a midweek game as well so I can't imagine we'll risk Hackett and Hamilton. Doubt we'll fill the bench either.

We're in decent form with 4 clean sheets in 6 and unbeaten in 7. We're actually higher in the away league table than the home one, but picked up less points away...!

Suspect we'll continue with 3-5-2 because it's serving us well, even if we have on few occasions switched to 3-4-3 or 4-4-2.

They've had wretched league form, but booked a spot at Wembley in midweek. We've had alright form, lost our main striker, had our manager disappear leaving 100% win rate Big Bad Barry Corr (looks rather cultured in specs mind) in charge at the weekend.

Not expecting anything from our game at Wigan tonight. Though the hopes of getting out of the relegation zone for the first time this season (even if only for 18 hours or so) do give an edge of excitement.

We have a solid record against Portsmouth but then again we've never played them when they've been 39 clear of us. I think it will be similar to previous games in that it will be an improvement on what has come before but I still expect to lose relatively comfortably. Bolton showed last week how easy it is to breach our defence with a little bit of quality

Huge game for us really, back at home where Orient aside and first half Boxing Day we've been playing fairly well since the start of December but defensively have cost ourselves points (Charlton/Stevenage) mixed with a couple of very good wins (Blackpool/Wigan).

Moore changed the system to 4 at the back and we looked far more comfortable midweek, its ridiculous that we persist with 3 at the back at Vale Park on such a wide pitch anyway, even ex players have come out and queried that one. The issue is though we dont have any full backs! Jones was solid enough midweek but came off injured again and Mitch Clarke whilst due back any time after his broken leg probably isnt there just yet.

Mighten was a positive midweek and looking forward to seeing him on the wide expanse of VP though.

2 home games and are must win really, a win here would be absolutely massive and potentially have us out the drop zone and closing in on sides above us with games in hand heading into that Fleetwood tie.

Free tickets for ST holders to boost the crowd for DM first home game so hopefully we can pull a result out, tough task though against a solid enough Lincoln outfit.

Think we will get something here but probably a draw more likely than the win, 3 points however and things feel much better.

Shame Ward isnt going to be playing considering he was 'on the grass' last week. Only Conteh returns to the side from last weekend.
We have been ending sides bad runs since forever, i dont see much different happening tomorrow with the way we are playing.

In theory 2 wins could put us 4 clear of the drop come Tuesday night if things pan out our way, we could also be deeply rooted and 5-6 adrift and dead so its big days ahead.

I meant you're not really likely to go up or down. Of course it's nice to finish 8th or 9th but you'll immediately forget the season you finished 9th in league one.

It can go one of two ways....you'll either be really good because players are not scared to try things when the pressure is off, or you'll be a little bit half hearted, knowing that you don't really have to win.

Knowing Vale, it will be the former rather than the latter.
