Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Sounded very decent by Carlisle today, but it did first half vs Cambridge last week.

Problem is confidence is very fragile so while ahead or level I find we don’t play bad but if we go behind the heads drop.

Makes a chance to score first they need to keep heads up and keep it gojng end of day regardless of the points the key is getting some team unity and confidence going

That Lincoln defender isn't 10 yards but what would really have helped Vale is if they didn't simply pass the ball straight to him lol, get what you deserve for that frankly

This is one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve ever watched. He has literally given Blackpool everything. I’ve seen some terrible refs at this level but this has to be the most one sided I’ve seen.

It probably was a penalty but a foul given against Dacres-Cogley going up for a header just before it is an absolute joke which gave them the chance to punt the ball long and win it.

I think we were initially shocked by that shirt you wearing. Burns holes in the retina

Stop talking bollocks . You've been done this afternoon . You are still in a good position. We have the best home record for a reason .

Fleetwood fully deserved that point. They were awful first half, but they ran us ragged in the second.
We were awful.

Better team definitely won. Couldn’t have done much more to give it to them if we tried on the first goal and then a pretty blatant shirt pull on the penalty.

As I say I feel for Darren Moore. None of this is on him.

100% down. Worst team in the league by an absolute country mile. The thing is Lincoln were absolutely dreadful second half but they didn't even need to be average.

Thanks for that mate, I was going to say we were crap for the 1st half and then in the 2nd we were all over you
The reality is a point is neither use nor ornament, my heart says we are almost doomed, my head says we will be relegated....

A flattering score most definitely. We needed to win or bust. Lady luck was on our side but it wasn't down to inept refereeing that made the score 4-1. Bolton will come back . Credit to their away fans. It made for a proper atmosphere.

Side rolls up to Vale Park, creates absolutely nothing and comes away with a 2-0 win. That’s a relegation performance from us, completely gifted them the points and they had to do absolutely nothing to earn them. Toxic at the end there. Absolutely no way this bunch of cowards are getting 40 points let alone 50.

Carlisle are far far worse. I'm suprised how badly your form has dropped since you spanked us.

Another win, another clean sheet, even with the players not available for selection.

What I don't understand is why that Port Vale defender did that less than 2 minutes into the game? Absolutely crazy. Crowd on the players back and always going to be a mountain to climb.

We weren't great but a wins a win and we're gathering some momentum. Definitely looking iffy for Port Vale at the bottom.

Result of the day has to go to Shrewsbury, seeing Reading pull it back to 2-2, expected Reading to secure the win.

Spoiled a good game, you was playing well as were we.....Then he ruined the game.

Santos missing again...........Not sure about the penalty/straight red will have to see it again

WHAT A WIN!!!

I feared the worst when they pulled it back to 2-2 but credit to the team for getting us back in front and holding on.

One win down, four to go. No chance we’re going down. Paul Hursts barmy army!!

There were a lot of fouls given for you today that we didn’t get (especially first half) and directly led to your goals. Grimshaw's 2 wonder saves from close range were at 2 critical times and that is what won you the game for me but the ref had a shocker.

I’m sure if those decisions had been given against you… you’d feel the same as us… especially the Sheehan and Dembele one that led to your second.

Thankfully Pompey and Derby didn’t win so it hasn’t cost us too much yet. Wigan is probably a must win now on Tuesday.

Cracking result for Shrews that. Would have preferred a draw from our pov but at least keeps Reading close too.

Still work to do for us to catch the pack above but getting closer.

I agree. That's why I said the score flattered us. You had as many chances and opportunities to win as we did. The ref was awful, but they all are at this level. All the best for the remaining league games.

At least Derby lost like you mentioned .

If you can start with that second half side you will pick up many more points. Great tactics to make a triple sub at half time.

One demon off our back with our first clean sheet since September now just to get that first win since November.
I thought we were excellent today and fully deserved something from the game. Every game under Jones seems an improvement, I just hope he can keep it going and we get a few wins under our belt.
It’s the loudest and most pumped up the home crowd has been in a long time and the players responded with fight. Just a shame they hadn’t showed that all season as we’d be well clear of the drop zone

Get the impression from comments on social media/forums that it was a fairly straight forward, second gear type win and kept Vale at arms length, which was needed ahead of a busy week.

Thankfully House has the flu rather than injury, so could be back for midweek.

The first goal stands because the ball has been intercepted and not blocked, so the ref was correct to play on. Not what you want your CB doing one minute into the new managers first home game!

February has been a good month so far. I still maintain we'd be in and around the PO's had we had some available strikers in the first half of the season.

It won’t make you feel any better Bolton fans, but we had that clown Brakespear reffing today. He did well, only booked 6 today, but two were the most incomprehensible bookings you will ever see. He was wildly inconsistent and only played 5 of the six added minutes at the end. How does this guy stay on the list? As for the game, the northern scum won with a fluke goal, but were clearly the better side and if they weren’t so comically inept in front of goal would have won by more. Not been a great week for us all in all.

Vale fans… honestly if you went in the posh seats you wouldn’t believe your ears..
Carol has just been up, in tears, telling us we will be alright because we’ve got Darren Moore, and little old Port Vale should not have him.
And his wife said we’ll be alright.
So stop worrying!

Moore keeps us up he’s a genius… but we are gone. Today is the end of that, a side with zero goal threat all afternoon yet we’ve gift wrapped the points… in a must not lose game, everyone seemed positive today, I really fancied us but to do that after 2 minutes and literally hand them the points on a plate is unforgivable… must also be noted we nearly did it again second half when Ripley tried a ridiculous pass.

Lincoln defended well, proper dark art masters, loads of time wasting etc but they shouldn’t be walking away with any goals there… it’s entirely our own doing and when your doing that your going one way.

31 losses in 53 league games now is it? Abysmal. Use common sense now and start prepping for attacking league two next season.

Yep. I thought Lincoln were thoroughly average and second half they were dreadful...gave the ball away so many times but we didn't lay a glove on them. Every time we had the ball, there was 3 Lincoln players on us but we sat back and let them knock it about. They were also fantastic at the dark arts, as good as I've seen this season. Time wasting 10/10, playing the ref 10/10, winding up fans 10/10...we desperately need to be like this but we won't.

The thing is, talent wise this team is better than the one that got relegated last time, but heart and commitment wise it's light years off. So many players taking the safe option or shifting out of challenges. We've been the worst performing league one team for a year. This season has been painful...let's just call it a day here.
