The games against Colchester and Grimsby will decide our future.
Not today.
Having said that why don’t we have a go?
Clarke is pissing me off.

They will and I’d have accepted it had Bolton performed well and beat us with quality but that was there for the taking today, exactly as Salford and Cambridge was. We’ve got to be better.

Salford have looked really good in the pizza cup today too against Pompey. We desperately need a GK next year ....Hladky is class.

Top three teams all win and puts all three 4+ points more than the best of the rest.
This is getting serious.

Think you've got to relegate Colchester on the spot if they lose to a team starting James Hanson and Lennell John-Lewis as it's strikeforce
Yeah yeah we get it you don’t rate them just fuck off you absolute bore.

Smash and grab you love to see it! Didn't watch it but looked like a game with very few chances, only 3 shots on target between the two teams but I'll take it! Nice to be on the right end of a last minute goal for once

Perfect result for us all near the top.....Extra Time will impact Salfords ageing team
These Saturday, Tuesday games caught us up today on these heavy pitches.
Salford and Carlisle will run out of steam.

For a game with so few chances it was strangely compelling.

I thought we were the better team in the first half, with Exeter showing us too much respect. In the second, Exeter realised that playing us on the counter was the way to get at us and a couple of times they broke through. Thought Willmot was going to give them the win but he hit it straight at Griffiths who stood big and then got down well. Seconds later May forced an unbelievable save from their keeper.

The game was petering out but even without a towel Toze can throw it a mile, and seeing Williams nod it in was beautiful.

The exact sort of result teams who go onto get promoted get. Massive game against Barrow on Tuesday when there's a chance for us to create a bit of a gap at the top.

I don’t know if you noticed but Carlisle ran out of steam weeks ago.

Think your problem may come with the number of games you have left. Will be hard work to get through the 2 plus games every 7 days. Even though you can catch us I'd rather have the points on the board now than the games in hand.

At this point yes... it depends on form, how congested your schedule is, how many points and how many games in hand.

On good form with five or six games in hand and only a couple points adrift of top spot I'd take the games in hand.

On poor form and nine points adrift even of playoffs with a completely packed schedule then it's a different story.

Bit generous to say he nodded it in, he smashed two players into the net as well. A stronger ref would have given the foul.

Yes I'm salty as fuck.
Yes we should have taken our chances.
It hurts to lose in that fashion, especially to a long throw from fucking Ben Tozer. Janner prick.

I’ve given up on top 7, I don’t know what other Carlisle fans think, but for me it’s done, it’ll be too much to ask,

all I hope is that we have a real go and put in some decent performances before the end of the season to take us into next season with some positivity

Yep, I agree. It's going to be another 3 team Jabodivisie season next year. I got to admit I was getting a tad worried at the time you lot were winning every single game. A two team league is no fun at all :told:

I must say Salford winning the pizza cup has done us L2'ers proud hasn't it.

Clear evidence of how strong L2 footy truly is ;)

Surely you'll make the playoffs at least... Colchester could go down still (though I don't rate their chances) and we could all end up in different divisions.

I actually think if you sack off some of the midweek games and play your reserves to rest your first teamers might give you more chance. Better winning one than drawing two.

On paper at least we've some decent strength in depth. When everyone's fit, we could change our outfield starting 10 from today's game and still have the likes of Aaron Hayden, Nick Anderton, Dean Furman, Josh Kayode, Gime Toure, Danny Devine, Connor Malley, Taylor Charters, Ethan Walker and Omari Patrick to choose from.

Nah, we haven't won against a top 7 side since we beat Salford back in November, and there's no way we'll make the play offs if we can't beat our top 7 rivals. And I'm sure Col U are staying up one way or the other.

Connor Malley left about 3 months ago shoddy.
Good job we won so I could come back and keep you right.

First 15 mins weren't pretty but the wind and rain didn't help. After that we have dominated the midfield but not creating enough as usual, until the last min of first half with some great work from Hanson, which the keeper saves and pushes onto LJL who manages to hit the bar from 2 yards! special even for him.

John-Lewis doing John-Lewis things by missing from 2 yards.

I would say Colchester are shit but I haven’t even seen enough of them to know it

Plenty of talking points from this afternoon's game, was a rather storied ninety minutes.

Some of the refs at this level really are awful, and today's was another who just seemed to have no control over the game at all... very card happy too, can't think of any particularly bad fouls but there were a hell of a lot of bookings. I'm not sure what that drop ball was all about (though the foul he didn't give was outside the area) or why he kept preventing Bradford from taking that corner near the end.

A couple of times before the opening goal, Bradford could have taken the lead, and there were some really big chances sent begging. Then again at 3-1 they had some really good chances to make it 3-2, had any of those gone in then it could have been a lot different. We needed things to go our way to build confidence and if they started out not going our way then there's every possibility we'd be looking at another dejected performance and big defeat.

Paul Farman was excellent today and is currently my shout for player of the season. He barely put a foot wrong during that run of defeats. He's been giving us the opportunity to win games and today the rest of the team finally took it. We'd be in a lot more trouble if we didn't have such a good keeper. His anticipation and closing down are excellent, he can make a decent save even if he isn't the tallest or most agile, and his distribution has been brilliant.

Alessandra fluffed possibly the best chance I've ever seen someone miss at nil-nil... fortunately we scored from the resultant corner.

Bizarre second goal from us. Looked like someone had scored a try and I wasn't even entertaining the thought that the ref would give it, but give it he did. Only thing I would say is that the Bradford players only really made half-hearted appeals for the foul, I'm sure they'd have been a lot more furious had the keeper had both hands on the ball so maybe the Bradford players were just fouling each other.

Zanzala looked like a proper striker in the middle of the front line today... 3 goals in the last 2 games for him and long may it continue.
