We need a 2 goal win to go top, not a 3 goal one.

After last week’s blip we’ll be back on track with a draw.

Bookies have Carlisle favourites against us. It's a game between 19th and 24th in the form table, so it's hard to predict.

Our biggest away following in about 10 years (I think) plus almost a full squad to pick from at last, so that almost certainly = disappointment. I wouldn't be happy with anything less than 3 points from this one.

I've been waiting for a shot at Newport since they relegated us. I hope we smash 'em.

Although against lower league oppo at least we ended our winless run last night, 90 minutes into a couple of players who were needing it and sounds like Cooper has given Zanzala a talking to during the week so a number of positives ahead of Saturday. Looking forward to the game but we never win away when I'm there.

Again, we’ve decided not to call our game v Crawley off even though we’ve 4/5 off on international duty and Baudry got injured yesterday and McKirdy is suspended.

We have a great squad depth so fair enough. But our home form is deplorable.

Don’t fancy our chances against a strong Vale side, we usually do terrible when our league games are on Sky as well. I’d take a draw.

Right now it feels like the team can find a way to win in any type of game. It was around this time last season on FA Cup 1st round weekend that the wheels fell off completely for us. Seems this time we are getting stronger. The likes of Conlon and Wilson are really looking a class above right now.

That said Bradford clearly have some very good players themselves and an Adams team is always hard to beat so expect a close game. One unfortunate aspect to it being televised will likely hit the crowd a bit, especially the away following I would guess will have a few knocked off.

Imagine we’ll bring around 700-800. Shame it wasn’t on tv at 5.30 instead think more would have made the trip, it’s put me off for starters going somewhere we’ve been what feels like 100 times in the last 20 years early in the morning isn’t the best proposition early on a Saturday morning. Think most of us expect a defeat tbh, that said we have put some good performances in lately but are far to wasteful.

Why are we even playing Friday night anyway, I can't make it

I'd imagine Sweeney will still be in charge, he's done well in his first two games, Friday is a proper test for him.

Got to love Dave Jones dropping Amond for our home game against Hartlepool in the January. One of the few wins achieved under Westley.

Mind boggling how we escaped relegation. 11 points adrift with 12 games left!

Sickener for Hartlepool but 1 win from the last 9, dreadful from Jones.

Vale 0 City 3. Theo Robinson hat-trick....tehehehe.

Like Wilsden said, we never win when we're on SKY and I don't think that will change. Think this will be similar to the Orient game where we don't get a sniff. 3-0 Vale.

There's your answer, one of the worst managerial appointments I've ever seen at Pools and that includes Richard Money and his 2 month stint as manager.

I always worry when we play Bradford. They should have a good team at this level and have a decent if not slightly old school manager. It seems like they've been creating plenty of chances but just not scoring.

I'm always wary too that we're on a great run (10 wins and a draw in 12) and it can't go on forever. Having said that, we're scoring at least 3 most weeks from all over the team. Wilson, Gibbons, Conlon all look like league one players, so we have to be confident going into a home game.

Last three games we've played the supposed better teams in the division in Swindon, FGR and Exeter. Deserved to win all three but woeful finishing and one moment of poor defending in each of the last two have meant we've only won one.

So I expect a tight game on Saturday but clearly Vale are more clinical in both boxes so I imagine they'll edge it 2-1.

Should be a routine win for Barrow really, we're in a bit of a mess and even though Barrow's form has been iffy recently you're still easily the better team. I can't imagine there'll be any sort of new manager bounce, it'll be Millen's 4th game in charge anyway but he seems the sort to take his time and be patient about improving our form. You'll be fired up by a big away following and a small and muted home following.

First game with Keith Hill in proper charge, he was in the dugout yesterday but not sure how much influence he had.

We have to beg that somehow this week he magically teaches all of our players how to play football. Not sure how many opposition fans notice this when we play them but our defenders rarely ever pass to our midfielders, mostly because our midfielders just stand still rather than making themselves open for the pass. That is the main thing that Hill needs to sort out asap if we stand a chance.

Salford have a quite ridiculous side on paper but they've been struggling so far, gotta hope we have a new manager boost and actually win a game.

That's harsh on Money. You're saying he was worse than Harrison. Another thing is he was only in charge for two months (and that's what, 7 or 8 league games?) and IMO that's not enough time to rate or slate any football manager as they all need time to change what in their opinion has to change regarding playing style.

I know he can be a tad 'unconventional' sometimes but he'll always be a hero to the Cambridge fans.

His heart was never in it, it's why he called it a day after a month and was reshuffled upstairs then scattered, same with his spell at Solihull before us, he lasted 26 days, the game has left him and his kind behind.

Rovers v Sutton. Lost the last couple of league games deservedly. It will be interesting to see how MM sets us up for this one, think there will need to be a more attacking approach than the trip to Crawley. Josh Hawkes has been missed since his hamstring injury, hoping back in contention soon.
