Yeah! we certainly did, we made him so bad he could only score against Leicester, spurs, man city, middlesboro, leeds, watford and swansea, real pile of crap he turned out to be.
Podge has been great this season when needed. I hope you don't recall him now you have a new manager.

Glad he is doing well for you! he is a top man and a top player, but Rowberry really likes him and the word up here is he will recall him in january as he wants to clear out the dross that flynn thought was better than podge after they had their falling out, it was only flynn's ego that got podge loaned out after podge told him a few home truths.

Yeah, we're sort of expecting him to be recalled, unfortunately for us

Good news for us. Our defenders are quite short and Cook is a pretty decent target man. We know Theo is useless in the battle but he'll inevitably score.

Looks like we'll match up formation wise with perhaps our wing backs showing a little more attacking intent. You can never tell with Clarke.

It feels like our recruitment has been much smarter this year. A lot of the teams with bigger budgets tend to go for 'names' with no real idea of how they fit into the team. We've gone for some lesser known players (barring perhaps Wilson) who are ambitious and work incredibly hard and have the right attitude. It's paying off at the moment.

Like others have said, we've been on a fantastic run, live on sky, chance to go top....it's all set up for a crushing defeat isn't it?

Theo started his first game for us on Saturday and impressed and scored a good goal. He has had a few cameo appearances from the bench before that and done okay, and scored our goal of the season so far at Swindon. So, I'm sure he will be up for it on Saturday.

I would be very happy with a point and decent performance in front of the TV cameras. We won our last live TV game 7-0 away to Tonbridge Angels last November, however, we tend not to do well in league games live on TV.

Should be decent game, sadly I think you will win this one.

Managed to shift 800 tickets so far - more than I thought. Seems the away following will be nearer 1,000, which ain’t all bad given the early KO, on SKY and the fact that we’re shit.

Scoring against shite like that doesnt count.

Wont have to watch Kane and the rest of the prima donnas.

Recall one TV game was against us about 10 years back with Popey getting his first goals for the club actually!

Theo is a funny one, I don't think hes a bad player but it hasn't worked for him in 2 spells at VP, that said he's done ok elsewhere in general looking at his record.

He just seemed so lazy last season and that's why he was bombed out the squad in January... then got given another chance when Visser was out for the season before deadline day with Pope's injury and re-registered and did bag a couple (one against Bradford IIRC).

Our fans didn't rate him judged on his last spell with us from the start and felt he was the cheap option after we pulled out the Maynard deal (and lost Jamille Matt with our stalling in the mean time)...

Pretty much summed up Askey's recruiting that summer.

I hadn’t realised mate, hamstring injury seemingly?

Can see Vernam and Theo starting upfront, then.
Agree that tho Paudie finished Saturday's game injured. Not a muscle injury though

Got to love Dave Jones dropping Amond for our home game against Hartlepool in the January. One of the few wins achieved under Westley.

Mind boggling how we escaped relegation. 11 points adrift with 12 games left!

Sickener for Hartlepool but 1 win from the last 9, dreadful from Jones.
The players involved in that relegation should have hung their heard in shame.
It was obvious they didn't like Jones, but the the way they just chucked the towel in well before the end of the season, was shocking & unprofessional.
It was no suprise after he was sacked,we drew at Cheltenham & beat Doncaster who were going for the title.
Unfortunatley is was to late.

His heart was never in it, it's why he called it a day after a month and was reshuffled upstairs then scattered, same with his spell at Solihull before us, he lasted 26 days, the game has left him and his kind behind.
He backheeled the managers job to Hignett when he realised how dogshit the squad was.

Don't start me about the fixture change! our 4 longest trips of the season you, barrow, harrogate, and colchester all switched to friday nights, who ever came up with this idea needs fuckin as there is no chance of any sort of away following i think we have got a half full mini bus going up to pools and the vast majority that would have made the trip on a saturday are as nan taylor would say fuckin raving.

Theo is a strange one in that he doesn't seem to have many redeeming qualities. He's not particularly quick, strong or good in the air. Not too bad with his feet but not great. He never really had a good run in fairness and he seemingly did ok at other clubs. He's a league 2/conference level player, he'll never play higher at this stage in his career. I'm glad that he's not our go to back up anymore but it could work out for him somewhere else. Doesn't look the sort that will get 15+ though.

I'm a bit pessimistic about this game. Will being on the TV play on their minds and the chance to go top? I would have preferred to have played Bradford a few weeks ago when they were struggling. They seem to have picked up and are creating chances. It only takes a couple to go in off someone's arse.

For the vast majority of the season we’ve created chances, it’s converting those that we’re horrendous at. Despite a catalogue of recently missed sitters Cook remains our standout threat and if he is out we’ll be looking for a draw at best, won’t be 0-0 as we gift at least one goal to whoever we play. I can’t see past a very comfortable home win.

Thank fuck for that. Very good numbers.

It's literally impossible to not be super confident with us at the moment. If we win tonight, we'll be looking to make it 8 wins on the bounce on Saturday, which is bloody good going. We're scoring goals for fun. 24 in the last 8 I think I saw somewhere, so averaging 3 a game. We've won 3-1, 3-0, 3-2, 4-1 and 5-1 in recent games. Wary of being on TV and the potential for Super Dazzler to win the MOTM award for the second consecutive month on Friday (that mythical curse) and Bradford aren't mugs. I think we'll win though - 2-1 Vale. Theo won't score though, he's gash. Be lucky touch the ball.

Fans forum last night we want Miller and Rollin on permanents in January if deals can be done with there clubs both have been great for us so far Pomlett also said the aim this season is a big improvement over last seasons 19th place finish and Taylor has 2 years to get us up basically which is fair i think.

Boo. Would be annoying but at least we can spend January moaning at Matt Taylor for not bringing in a striker to replace him!

As for Saturday, Oldham won’t be pushovers and I bet we will have to be patient and wary of them hitting us on the break.

It’d be great if we can keep the run going for as long as possible and I am hoping we turn up for this one. Dieng missing is an opportunity for someone to take that midfield spot by the scuff of the neck and I also hope we switch to a back four and play an extra wide player…Hopefully Owura or Coley can stake a claim for a start in tonight PJT game.

I guess instead of paying for a bus and digs for 20+ staff they’re just gonna bus it up on Friday morning, get a whopping at The Vic and home for 4am the next day.

Isn’t Bahamboula on international duty which would make Oldham less of a worry?

He's not even that good.

Keillor-Dunn is more of a threat right now.

He was abysmal against us. Wearing a fetching pair of what looked like tights as well.
Thats why he is in league two, one week he does things no league 2 player should be able to do, the next week he does nothing.
Is he rubbish, no, he is inconsistant.

He is a YouTube one I guess… you see the ridiculous stuff he does but not the in between. He was crap at VP but dangerous at their place last season.
