Ref giving everything to them thus far - Carlisle throwing themselves to the floor at any given opportunity.

Their up for this so far, we’re not.

But it should be 1-0 to us. Pattison must score.

Twenty mins in and we've been crap. Carlisle the better side.

Bad miss from him.

Too slow and sloppy. Can't pass. Smallwood chasing shadows.

Yellow the right call but that was very rash from McCarthur.

This game is absolute dog muck.

We've been dreadful and for all Carlisle's possession they're about as threatening as a toddler.

Awful game thus far.

Carlisle making this as scrappy, kick and rush as they can.

All about the second balls today.

That Pattison miss was our chance. Can't see us scoring now.

Indeed.

Despite us looking out of sorts I think there's still the odd chance for us in it purely because of their defending. Kavs ball across the box just now and Pattos ball in which brought the save in the last minute.

They can say the same for us, I reckon. Think we need some more energy in midfield. Maybe Lapslie on.

Wouldn't mind seeing Johnson replace Halliday.

Take what we can get.

There was always going to be a few more chances with their defence. Got to do what we can't now and keep a clean sheet.

Aden Baldwin says we need a second goal. Sam Walker agrees.

There’s no way this finishes 1-0!

Carlisle are bound to score.

Really strong lineup from us finally, although every time I’m confident it usually ends in disaster

So whilst some injuries clear up, Hall and Richard’s are out. Chislett is in South Africa with a family bereavement and Paton is out. Byers is back for next weekend as the weather has meant he hasn’t had the training we’d want to be fully ready today.

Defence is very light. Smith the only pure centre half with John and Hart more wingbacks filling in and Jason Lowe in midfield is a bit negative at home.

Not as confident now all be it have ample options on the bench. I’d have gone with Hennigan and Smith plus either John or Hart to be more secure there really and Lowe out for Harper.

Yeah it is like for like.

Hopefully Oldaker comes in and keeps the shirt - for all the Banks is a class act, DJ is younger and was my POTS prior to MK Dons away.

Got a feeling it’ll be a draw tomorrow - 2-2
Would take that tbf

Get Mellon on being fresh up top. Push them back.

Possibly say Lapslie on too for some added energy, maybe for Sarcevic.

If don't won't win this, fingers will be pointed at Alexander.

Carlisle are massively reminiscent of Notts the year we went down. Vibes there just seem absolutely rotten and I’m not sure new signings are going to help that.

Six minutes added time. Officials doing their final bit to allow Carlisle a chance of getting something out of this.

Like playing 12 men.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
The problem is the signings have maybe yep……made us a little smoother, yep maybe we make a lot less mistakes, the heads don’t drop as quick.

But we create hardly any chances we don’t at all look dangerous, we don’t look like we can score and we also always look like we will concede a goal at least maybe two a game.

Unless we improve in both boxes it’s worthless what we do in the middle areas

When we got promotion we were the opposite hardly dominated games hardly had the ball, but defended extremely well could be great on the counter created chances and scored off many corners.

Got to be the most toothless ineffective style of football you can get what we have played for 4 months now

I don’t at all understand this modern style that because guardiola plays an all passing game it will create wonder sides down here.

Could have 20 minutes stoppage time and Carlisle are not scoring. They play very nice patterns until they get to the final third then just look clueless.
