Fun game even if it's still scoreless. I doubt it ends that way though. Plymouth look very impressive how they move the ball but we've given some back to them too and not just standing off them.

Think Danny Butterworth for us is having himself a really good game, carrying on where he left off against Charlton.
Just got to concentrate, these are very good in the final third moving it around. Defensively they look suspect so hopefully we can create a few more chances second half.

Looks like being a good night for the away teams - all unbeaten.

Absolutely brilliant result and I think though we rode our luck on occasions we were good value to win this as well. Plymouth looked a very good team but I think we're not too bad ourselves. Feel that is the one thing was waiting on for us to not just be gallant losers against the top six and actually win one and we've done it tonight so really pleased.

Should be a good game with Bristol Rovers next week. All the best to Plymouth.

Absolutely bossed that, should have got three points there. Morecambe couldn't get out of their half and brought on a defender for an attacker to settle for a point.
Still think we should have started with Brown, not sure what he is playing at here.

PS well done Vale!

Oh dear Ipswich. They really are having a torrid time at the moment. The longer than game went on at 1-0, I expected a Fleetwood equaliser.

A good evening for Sheff Wed too. They win their game in hand and are top!

Superb effort and performance, had a good feeling about tonight as it’s the type of game we usually do well in.

Fully deserved, their keepers made 3 decent stops and although we had to dig in bar the last ten minutes that second half was relatively comfortable.

Another goal from a corner, not sure who got it but a good finish from Wilson for the second.

Worry now is we’ve been under the radar a bit but now teams will start to wise up that we are not just little old Port Vale here to make the numbers up.

Thought Jones was absolute quality again, crazy to think he was one who drifted out the team second half of last season and was expected to be let go in the summer.

Massey has been getting pelters so far this season but worked his cubes off tonight and we have to make sure we tie Butterworth down on a permanent in January.

Great night for Wednesday. We should have been out of sight after 15. Get me out of this tinpot league with piss poor refs. Being a town fan is never easy! Although Fleetwood deserved a point in the end. We’ve thrown away so many points this season in the last few minutes of games. Somehow we’re sitting in second still

Just the small matter of Derby away tomorrow!

Not sure the last time we got 3 points there.

I thought we were well worthy of the points. You're always going to face pressure from top of the league at home and you need a bit of luck but equally we had a number of good chances ourselves.

We look like a real threat and it really wouldn't surprise me if we had a pop at the play offs. I've said it many times, it's not a great league....it's 3rd division football that has been talked up into something it is not.

Big big ask but why not dream and you never know. Still looking at getting to 50 points first. See how many games are left after that to re assess. January I dare say the big guns who are maybe struggling to cement a play off spot will throw money at it and will be more difficult.

We are playing some good stuff at the minute though so let’s enjoy the ride and see where it takes us. After years of utter shite it’s nice to actually be on this 18 month journey for a change!

Fuming. Knew it was coming. Fully deserved.

Whole game we were slow, slipping over, time wasting and no forward mentality. To all Oxford fans, not going to lie, we were boring boring Ipswich tonight

As you say the goal is still consolidation for me, it's a nice thought regards playoffs etc but I get the feeling a few clubs are going to invest heavily in January that we would be foolish to try and match. Nicely placed in the top ten into December though I don't think anyone can be anything but satisfied with that.

Think this is the first time we've done back to back wins in the league this season so that's the other thing we just don't have the consistency I feel. Wouldn't surprise me if we fall on our faces at Rovers after this one.

From the other games I see Bolton got another late goal to get a result. It's a pretty good trait for a successful team if you can do that on a regular basis.

Remarkable stats, is it one away win in the league at Derby since 1958? Its similar to
our record at Walsall.

To be fair we hadn’t won a league game in Derby in 99 years until this season so you never know!

Honest lads I've seen us blow going 3 1 up in injury time to draw 3 all.

Watched a defender handle on the line clear as day, ref gave us a corner, they broke and scored.

But football can sometimes surprise me.

Tremendous point at Ipswich after a dodgy start. Fleetwood make things hard for themselves but gradually settled into the game well. Plenty of good performances from Morton who ran his heart out, Promise Omochere who looked good on the right and Lynch in goal who has been a stand out player all season. Our away form is very steady and without doubt we are tough to beat on our travels.
Congrats to Port Vale on an outstanding result

Really need to win today if we are to have any chance of closing the gap on the teams outside the relegation places, there have been some indications of a recovery being on the way in recent weeks...just need to figure out how to start a game and have a decent first half, rather than saving ourselves for the second when the game is already largely gone from us.

Playing the team in 20th, who seem as ropey as ourselves, surely presents the best opportunity we could ask for...but this is football and I'm definitely not taking anything for granted, hopefully our players take the same view. Looking forward to seeing how well our recent signing, Dylan McGeouch, peforms in a league game...after he did OK in the irrelevant game against Cheltenham and last week in the FA Cup.

Frustrating night last night. We were a bit shaky at the back but missed 4 absolute sitters.

Any sort of composure and we’d probably of won the game.

Whittaker when the keeper fucked up just put it straight at him, to the left of the keeper and it’s 1-0.

Bali Mumba missed the opposite corner by millimetres, I thought it was in.

Hardie put it over the bar from 5 yards, an absolutely shocking miss.

Ennis in the second half skied it from inside the box after it had been pulled back across.

Just wasn’t our night. Vale had plenty of half chances and probably deserved a goal or two but we should have won that if we had any ounce of composure about ourselves. Need Dan Scarr back as we look a bit open without him.

Good support from Vale, long way to go on a Friday night and made good noise particularly once they went in front.

Frustrating evening, but we’ve shown our bounce back ability before and I have no doubts we’ll do the same again, especially with Mayor, Mikel Miller, and Scarr all returning.

Hardie was offside so wouldn’t have counted…

Would agree with some of that but don’t think we had half chances, we’ve missed two one on ones and could by an equal measure of won 4-0, still no idea why Mipo with his pace shoots from 20 yards when he’s clean through!

First half was a real good game, two good sides playing some really good football going toe to toe, for 20 minutes first half we were dominating but the keeper error seemed to see us lose our way after that in the half.

Second half was pretty scrappy I felt until we got the goals then we sat deep, rode our luck, especially Wozza with the handball which is clear as day (although il take it!) and a couple of scrambles and the one off the post, but on the counter we could and probably should of taken another couple of goals to kill it.

Was a decent battle overall and nice to see some positive comments about us from your fans and manager rather than the bitterness that some such as Charlton’s displayed.

It’s nuts that we’ve won 4 times in a row at Home Park though, does seem we’ve grown a hoodoo over you since that heartbreaker in the 96th minute in 2004!

Good luck for the season.

A great win for us last night against a Charlton team who look bereft of confidence. They battered us for the first 15 mins, then a cock up in their defence let our players know that they weren't unbeatable and we dominated the next 15, having missed three absolute sitters. The last 15 of the first half was very even, so 0-0 at half-time was fair.

Second half we invited Charlton to dominate, but slowly grew into it. Charlton had the ball in the net twice, but they were correctly ruled out for offside. Then in the last 10 mins a hopeful punt forward saw the Charlton keeper try and head it clear from the edge of his box rather than, you know, taking a step back and just plucking it out of the air, and Alfie was their to loop it in.

That killed Charlton and we had the best chance in the last 5 mins to make it 2-0. We're now 4th in the form table - that feels very odd to say.

Nice start for Burton at MK. Shame for them they stuck around with JFH at the start of the season or they’d be comfortably mid table.

MK you keep thinking just based off the last few seasons it’s a matter of time for them to find form but it’s looking grim for them. Obviously it’s still early days yet in this game.

Wickham, Matt, Hendry on the bench rather than in the starting 11. Infuriating
