Someone gave me £100 extra in a bundle at work last week, I returned it though. If I'd lost something like money/phone etc (which I have many times), I'd always hope there would be someone who would do the same.

The odd £5/£10er on the floor though, I don't see why anyone wouldn't take it, it's not like you can track down whoever lost it.

Is 'dinner' really regarded as a Northern thing? Can't remember the last time I heard someone refer to meals as 'lunch and dinner' as opposed to 'dinner and tea'.

I've genuinely never heard of half of these terms, it's a COB and if you're in London, it's a ROLL. All other terms are ridiculous.

Tea is a drink, lunch is at lunchtime ie. the afternoon, dinner is at dinnertime ie. the evening.

Dinner is the main meal of the day. If it is eaten around midday, than you have dinner and tea. If it is eaten later, then you have lunch and dinner. That´s what I tell my non-English students anyway.
