Reading away on Saturday. Don't care what anyone says, it's a tough game, their form has improved since the new manager and it's more of what you would expect of a mid-table side than a struggling one. Not only that but Hughes is out and supposedly Browne, Potts, Barkhuizen and Clarke are all missing from training today... pretty sick of this shit to be honest.

Patched up XI:

Rudd
Fisher, Storey, Davies, Earl
Pearson, Gallagher
Nmecha, Johnson, Robinson
Maguire

Subs: Crowe, Rafferty, Huntington, Ledson, Barker, Moult, Stockley

I'll be buzzing if we win here, scarily young back four.

What a mind numbing weekend on the football front.

I watched an hour of Gibraltar v Ireland FFS.

I tried but spent most the time watching the planes drive around.

Easy away win their still garbage, 0-4 against us and 0-3 against Leeds in the last few weeks.

Middlesbrough away on Saturday night. Probably our toughest fixture left on paper (Villa notwithstanding), but we can perhaps take some hope from Boro's poor form before the international break. However, the timing may have proven to be ideal for them and allowed them to regroup, so I'm taking nothing for granted (though I'm hoping we've taken advantage of the break to rest a bit so we're more refreshed than in recent weeks).

If we win this one, I'll finally be fully confident of a top-two finish, but any slip-up opens it right back up again for Leeds and Sheffield United.

Derby at home, we’ve had some good games against them in recent years. Home form is good (even though we lost the last one) so I’m hopeful of a win. Not much left for us to play for unfortunately but hopefully we can get a 5th consecutive Top 10 finish

Stoke away coming up, Jones seems to have tightened them up defensively so could be a war of attrition.

Fletcher a doubt due to injury and still without João and 1FF to offset that BUT Gary Hooper could be included in the squad which would be a massive boost for the run in.

Looking at fixtures involving teams in PO contention.

Villa at home to Blackburn, should be an easy home win.
Derby at home to Rotherham, tricky one, Rotherham are very good at nicking draws.
Forest at home to Swansea, not straight forward but home win is likely.
Bristol City away at Sheff Utd, think the Blades will be too strong at home.
PNE away at Reading, good chance we can nick 3pts on the road again.
Wednesday away at Stoke, Jones has really sorted out their defence, bore draw.
Boro at home to Norwich, they've been utter shite lately, think they will lose again.

Predicted table:

5th - Villa - 60pts
6th - PNE - 60pts
7th - Boro - 58pts
8th - Forest - 57pts
9th - Derby 57pts
10th - Sheff Wed - 56pts
11th - Bristol City - 55pts

Said on the other forum I was just having a look through Reading's squad to see who'll play in place of Oliviera on Saturday and fuck me their table position isn't a reflection of their squad is it....

Loader, Rinomhota, Martinez, Meite, Swift, Kelly, Moore, Barrow, McCleary, Yiadom, Ejaria etc I'd have all of them here.

Paul Clement is a seriously gash manager.

I remember Swift being a really good prospect but seems that didn't come to fruition.

McLeary used to be good too but seems he's been fucked by injuries, thought he was younger than 31.

The rest I either don't know them or just have them down as average Championship players.

Agree though, their squad shouldn't be in the bottom 4.

Loader I've heard of but no idea what position he plays or if he's any good. Rinomhota I have absolutely not got a clue.

The rest are all a bit average, tbh.
Educate yourself on Loader if you like - https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....tar-Danny-Loader-radar-host-German-clubs.html

Rinomhota was their POTM in January.

Yeah shame about injuries with McCleary. Yiadom and Moore have been two of the better defenders in the division in recent seasons. Swift and Kelly are two quality young players I expect will play in the PL at some stage, Barrow and Ejaria judging them on last season said performances against us were rapid.

Is Obita still on their books as well? Probably rather have their squad than ours ffs...

We have Bolton on Saturday. Our last home game against Rotherham was pretty tragic to say the least. The players and McLaren have been saying that the breka has been needed so let's see if we can find some of that form that got us 2 points off the play offs before christmas.

Bolton might have a take over happening so maybe they will be distracted but we need to get at them from the off for a couple of reasons. The main one being that if we start slow then the fans will be on the teams back from the off.

Expecting a really shite turnout and atmosphere all around but hoping for a 2-0 win.

Don't worry, with Parky still in charge, we won't be winning this one

Rotherham won after not winning away all of this season, or all of their previous Championship season. I wouldn't be surprised if you manage it.

He's clueless mate, goes for 0-0 draws away and considering we have a worse goal aggregate then Ipswich, you can see why I see no hope

Swift has loads of talent, but his attitude stinks. Was quite glad when we didn't sign him in the end, but am sure he'll end up doing very well at some point.

Brilliant win for City.

Sounded deserved aswell. 9 shots on target at Bramall Lane is a top effort!

Tough game at the Riverside now though on Tuesday.

Mason Mount’s back then.

Tasty end to the season for about 8 teams vying for 5th/6th.

Good win for Villa, hoping to be in the playoffs again but a lot of teams vying for 5th and 6th.

A constant flow of injuries to key players is crippling us.

Been the case all season tbh, but today it seriously took it's toll.

Both Pearson and Barker are the latest additions to our extremely overcrowded treatment room, after todays shit show.

We were just shite today. Looked patched up and cumbersome.

Hell of a win for us, but I think our failures at home are gonna see us miss out in the end. If we can stay in the fight until the last week or two and beat last seasons position I'll be happy.

God, our record at Reading is shite.

Won there two years ago and that's the only 3pts I can remember at the Madjeski off the top of my head. What sort of bell end names a stadium after himself anyway?

A clever one. Can plough all sorts of money into the club and claim sponsorship and have it as a way around FFP.

Aye, that's worked wonders for them this year.
