Goodness me. Well, the positive is that I didn’t get soaked this week.

Whatever could go wrong, did go wrong. I could be here until next week explaining what happened today.

7 fuxking nil. Embarrassing. No other word describes it. Lessons not learnt, the same players making the same mistakes. Someone could put a highlights reel of these embarrassing mistakes at the back and it wouldn’t be a short film.

Potts could’ve taken Dasilva’s HT ball as he made three errors leading to goals.

Agree its the same players making mistakes but in a way I don't blame most of them. Think Potts and the like are trying their best but they just aren't up to the level and its fairly obvious never would be. The players making those errors are in some key positions where re-tooling was required over the summer, like fullback, centre half, defensive midfield & keeper. Unfortunately the recruitment in those areas has left a LOT to be desired and leaves us looking very week.

Not sure what he was doing for the 6 months in Micks recruitment role. As far as I can tell its -- Brought in a butterfingers keeper for massive by our standards money

- To replace our 2 best players he brought in a right back/centre half who is really neither one of those things, a right winger who he is trying to convert to a full back on behalf of Man City for....well what purpose im not entirely sure! A left back who has barely played a game for 3 years due to injury, who shockingly is now injured again.

- Hasn't bothered to replace our DM who was integral to our play, and instead brought in shite journeyman types like Tunnicliffe, Butterfield in the box to box positions when they were not needed. Moved Berry to DM to accommodate those players and then when he hasnt taken it like a duck to water (hint, its because its not his position!!!) puts him on the scrap heap.

- didnt bother with any new centre halves at all when it was pretty clear this level would probably require bit more athleticism there than Bradley/Pearson could offer (good as they were last season).

The only decent signing he made has been Brown who to be fair is excellent but was only a last minute deal. Now he is injured he might have to go back to Moncur, another who he has binned

For someone with 6 months to prepare its all rather haphazard and lacked direction and clear identifiable purpose which was the bedrock of all our success - have a way of playing and get players to fit that way of playing. Instead its not really identifiable how we play, sometimes its 433, sometimes its 352, sometimes its 442 diamond, sometimes its James Collins playing left wing.

Its all rather confused and muddled and that confusion at the top goes all the way through to how the players look on the pitch, with the nadir of it all being today.

Im not normally one to to turn on a manager but he hasnt done a great deal to make himself look good since he has been here.

Luton fans should relax, they’ve got three points on a platter coming next week. Looks like Jones is pretty doing exactly what Martinez did with us. Changing the style of football, players not good enough to adapt quickly, lots of thrashings mixed in with unexpected wins and ultimately survival.

As for us, I know a relegation bound side when I see one and we absolutely reek of it.

I do think we need to relax. Was always gonna be a huge step up. We knew wed get spanked a few times this season. Today was one, QPR less so but similar, otherwise weve been reasonably competitive considering. We lost our best two players. Havent recruited that well...... but. Were the smallest Championship club. Cut your cloth accordingly. Were among giants. Slowly slowly.

Relax yes, but certainly cannot defend a 7-0. We’ve handed out a number of spankings in recent years in the three lower levels, so yesterday I suppose is a little pay back. It’s a total embarrassment on the club and all those involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Next week is indeed a huge game. Wasn’t mentioned above but Izzy Brown will be out for the foreseeable future - in fact that could be his last game for us if his hamstring tear is that serious. So that compounds our misery. And we also lost Brendan Galloway with a ruptured patella tendon, 15 minutes after coming on. This is a player who suffers from patella tendinitis chronically (words fail me whoever sanctioned that signing). So we have no LB cover and cannot drop Potts next week after three mistakes.

Plenty of smaller clubs than you, you just have the smallest ground, which obviously brings you a lot less money in as you could easily get 15k average and more for bigger games. So maybe yes you get the lowest income coming in out the division but there are quite a few teams you are way better supported than.

Cardiff did a job on us yesterday. Scored a decent goal and then just set up very solid. We’d still be playing now and couldn’t score.

Absolute shithouses from a side that was in the Prem last season, but it certainly worked so fair play.

I didn't realise until I looked yesterday morning that Brentford's owner has pumped £113m into the club in 5 years. That is an extraordinary amount - our owners have spent £30m so far in 11 years. I was also surprised to see empty seats yesterday and quite a few of them, in the home ends. Their new ground looks fantastic and look forward to heading there (next season).

They have an impressive squad we should look to replicate in the long term, of hungry, positive, young players, but clearly the ownership is gambling, just like most of the rest of the division of getting into the promised land of the Premier League. And that's fine. It's his money.

Brentford should already be in the premier league, there scouting system is incredible, the amount of top class players they've found in the last few years is ridiculous, however they just sell them all which then puts them back to square one and it's just a repeated cycle, but because they are a small club I think there fans seem happy with that, they might move up to the next level with the new ground, sure it can only help them although they dont even fill the one they've got now so who knows.

As I say, a system we need to replicate. But unfortunately we haven't got £2.5m to speculate on a Maddison or £millions more to spend on players who can clearly step up to this level and perform to get a move to a PL club.

Nah, you've just got £1.3million to spend on a reserve goalkeeper.

Yesterday had nothing to do with money or budgets and everything to do with a manager whose recruitment has been crap despite a 6 month head start on it, and who cannot set up a team to be defensivley organised.

Id argue we have been outclassed this season, we could have got thrashings in a few other games this season if teams had taken there chances like Brentford did yesterday because we defend like everyones met in the car park before the game. Yes we are up against it this season but we dont help ourselves as we dont do the basics right defensivley.

Watch them regularly do you?
In fairness I work with plenty of Forest fans and most acknowledge they've not played particularly pretty football this season but have been clinical when it matters. Yesterday aside obviously.

I don’t think we’ve shithoused many sides at all? We don’t give away chances and then take our ones when they come. Cardiff came, scored and then spent 75 minutes wasting time. They played well and were very disciplined but wouldn’t compare what they have done to many of our performances.

To add - we had 30 shots at goal yesterday. Sadly our players were all kicking it like they’d never played football before, but I don’t think we’ve had a single match where a team has had as many attempts as we did yesterday.

Funny feeling getting a last minute equaliser but at full-time feeling like you were robbed. We should have won that. A ten minute period after half time and five mins towards the end is all they had over the 90, while we had three or four good chances to win it in the 2nd half.

Dunno how long it will last, but for now a big thank you to Gary Rowett for making us an entertaining attack-minded side again. A decent striker and another midfielder and there's IMO no reason why we shouldn't get top half.

Never ever a pen, but also we deserved nothing. Saying that was gutting to leave there without the win. Bonkers game again. Lamouchi got it very very wrong. Millwall are a much better side than they were under Harris and will win more than they lose playing like that.
