I have a fear we're going to get a bit of a tonking tomorrow; that said it's probably not a bad time to be facing Middlesbrough - they've not had the best summer either.

We're considerably weaker defensively; a goalkeeper still getting to know his defence; playing a system that really isn't suited to the players we've now got and an unproven front line.

Can understand some anxiety, but I think you're overestimating this division a little bit. Be very surprised if you got tonked.

Don't agree. Struggled for points perhaps but we were far the better team against hotly tipped for promotion Portsmouth, at their place, just couldn't score. Certainly held our own against "we're gonna piss this league" Sunderland. Peterborough first half we struggled but they had an excellent start to the season. Tonight will be a great occasion. The fans will be up for it which should lift the players. We are certainly capable of getting a point. Bring it on!

No real surprises for us in terms of team news this evening then. Slight odd one is perhaps Lee starting over Moncur, the latter I think has had a much better pre season.

Does show we could do with a right back and another forward in particular. I’ll enjoy the first game back at this level no matter what but do think we’ve got a slightly unprepared look about us.
