Apparently we played really well today. Be interesting to see the game. Might even watch the whole game if it comes on while I’m bored shitless at hospital.

Apart from your teams "antics" I was impressed by you, fully deserved to win, probably by a larger margin.
Not sure if that was down to our shite performance, or if you made us look bad.
Either way no argument, you deserved the win.

Btw hope your better and home soon,

Ok with the draw v Preston. They seem to have a weird hold over us and are a good side. 9 points from 6 games against teams all on the top 10, plus through to the third round of the Cup and Derby dispatched. Cracking start

Thought Huddersfield looked a decent team at times, couple of really standout players especially there number 11 who was rapid and skilful but very low on confidence. Basically they had no momentum or confidence whereas we have it in spades, and they’ve forgotten how to win games.

Had the better chances and deserved to win but rose our luck at times. Penalty looked a little soft to me and the winner could have easily been ruled out if the ref had blown up a second earlier.

Huddersfield got problems though, no confidence in that side and the fans on the players backs. Found it hilarious there fans practically begging the keeper to play it long all game when they had no striker to win the ball against Pearson or Bradley. Was delighted every time he gave in to them and did it, easy possession for us. Shows most fans no fuck all about the game.

Outplayed at home by a Barnsley side missing half their first team. Genuinely sad to say it, but I’ll be surprised if the gaffer survives the international break.

Just seen our highlights and we scored great goals! No idea what your penalty was for though.

Just watched back the goals yesterday - Huddersfield fans are unhappy with Collins' penalty and the video isn't conclusive either, however he clearly had his heels clipped... I had the best view in the house for it. I haven't seen the penalty that Huddersfield weren't awarded, but their bench and players were exasperated. Jones acknowledged we had a bit of luck on our side yesterday.

That said, you make your own luck. For me, Luton dominated the first half again like they have been in recent weeks, but the trend has been conceding early in second halves... and yesterday not an exception.

Huddersfield are a team rudderless and leaderless. I'm sure they will get their shit together, but I can't say I really saw much of a gameplan from them yesterday especially in the first half. Adama Diakhaby was a constant thorn in our side.

Had a blinding week and really 7 points from the first 6 games is a good return from our side I'd say, and also into the Last 32 of the League Cup.

Thought it was a soft penalty but it looks like he is clipped to me. He’s made the most of it no doubt though.

Their penalty shout was pretty weak looking back at it, but in the “seen them given” category. I think what actually happened was the ref played advantage as it looked like it was outside the box to me and the ball has broken to their player with a great opportunity to score but Sluga made a good save. That’s certainly what the ref seemed to indicate to their bench during the game.

"Seen them given" indeed - however he gave a lot of other 50:50 decisions in the Huddersfield direction throughout the game.

The Charlton juggernaut goes on.

Reading shaded it first half and probably should have gone in at half time 1-0 up.

Only one team in it second half, got a lucky deflection to go 1-0 up but spent the next 40 odd minutes in complete control and never once did we look like not winning.

Top notch away performance again and another Taylor penalty to boot.

Great travelling support and day out on the sauce too.

Up the Addicks.

We need a manager, crap result and performance yesterday especially with it being at home. We haven't played very well in the last 4 games, even in the wins against Luton and Rotherham in the league cup. International break probably come at a good time, if Bullen is still in charge at Huddersfield I'll be worried, just not cut out for the management gig and is probably too friendly with the players. Then again 9 points from the first 6 games isn't a terrible start, seemingly a good chance to bounce back next game against Huddersfield.

Can't complain with a draw at Forest with the personnel we had available but probably should have put it to bed before half time.

The defending for that second Luton goal, Christ! At what point do Huddersfield fans start to worry? Relegation hangovers are hard to shake unless you put them to bed early.

West Brom - Blackburn looked entertaining, that Diangana looks frightening.

Too busy looking at their colleague clutching his head about 30 yards behind.

International break is very much welcome. Hopefully have a near fully fit squad when we return. Also see the players are going on team building exercises which were a big benefit last season. Not too disheartened by our relatively poor start at all, that said though I am not looking forward to our first game back against Leeds, that could be very embarrassing.

Brentford at Deepdale next, a team we traditionally struggle with but more so away from home, we've beaten them 4-2 and 4-3 at home in recent seasons.

We're looking solid at home so i'm quietly confident about picking up another 3pts but Brentford always pose a threat going forward.

Both teams to score banker I would think.

Hoping to have Maguire, Barkhuizen, Fisher, Hughes and possibly even Nugent fit and available.

Rudd
Fisher, Bauer, Davies, Hughes

Agree with your take - it wouldn’t surprise me if we come away with a win, but certainly one of the tougher teams to play away from home - most likely result is a defeat for us.

I think we’ll keep the same team as we did against Derby unless there were any injuries / niggles from the international break.

Canos - Norgaard - Jensen - Henry

Mbuemo - Benrahma

Wouldn't have expected Canos to ever appear as a wingback, that looks a very good front three but know nothing about the midfield. I'm sure Pearson will welcome them to England with open arms.

Think it'll be a good game.

Totally agree, but oddly he’s been quite good there - when he plays as one of the forward 3 he has a tendency to run into blind alleys, but if he’s at wing back he’s always got someone in front to help open space. A little suspect defensively but usually we are the ones pressing and high up the pitch so it doesn’t matter - Dalsgaard can also pull across to put us into a back 4 and cover. What it does mean is we can be absolutely lethal on the counter:

Early days but I think Jensen can be a star in this league. Superb range of passing, still adapting to this league so we can get overrun a little in midfield at times (especially as there’s only 2 there) but he looks classy. Norgaard has struggled a little so far, but not unusual for a player to take time to adapt to this league.

I think you’ll win the midfield battle, but we have so much pace at the moment we’ll be very dangerous on the break.

Aye, I thought Dalsgaard was a right back, always handy being able to change shape without making a sub.

Two teams who like to counter it seems, could be end to end.

I really hope Fisher is back to deal with your pace as Browne will get wrecked if he's forced to play there again. Same on the otherside, Rafferty and Hughes are probably as quick as each other but would fancy Hughes against Canos more than him one-on-one.

Think our front man will depend on what sort of line you play, if you push up then it'll most likely be Barkhuizen who was really effective against Stoke. Don't know if he's fully recovered from his groin injury though. If you sit a bit deeper then i'd presume Stockley will get the nod.

I'd say that's probably the best team we can put out at the minute so hopefully they're all back fit. Quite confident of 3 points myself, but there's a little niggle that says we always start slowly again after a break but hopefully this season's different.

Definite both teams to score bet this, I've made quite a bit of money out of that the past couple of seasons, I usually back North End to win aswell though. Spurs are always a good team to stick on for both teams to score aswell.

Alex Neil's saying Barkhuizen and Maguire won't be fit and Hughes is still doubtful. Hopefully that's mind games and one of them will be fit, but if not I'd probably play Bodin up top, I can't see Stockley being effective against a team like Brentford.

We're at Huddersfield on Sunday dinner time, first game live on Sky for us this season. We've had a reasonable start considering the managerial situation, glad it's now sorted and hopefully now Monk has had a week with the squad we'll look more fluid and functional as a team. Huddersfield have had a shocking start and haven't been able to shake the losing mentality of the last 18 months, they'll hope bringing in serial winner (albeit at a lower level) Danny Cowley will kick start their season. We'll probably make changes to the side that lost to QPR, god knows how we'll line up so I wont even guess, Forestieri is suspended and rumours are Tom Lees will be out for a while.

So we have QPR tomorrow. I was too slow in getting a ticket as we sold out well before it went onto general sale for us.

The international break came at the wrong time for us probably - we had 3 wins in a week against Barnsley, Cardiff and Huddersfield before the season was 'prorogued' for 2 weeks.

James Collins made his debut for Ireland on Tuesday and scored the third goal after coming on only 10 minutes beforehand. Luke Bolton also setup a goal for England U20 last weekend.

Today we've also taken on Ryland Morgans, who is also the assistant for the Cote d'Ivoire as "technical coach". Dan Bond also joined a week ago from Oxford United as an analyst - we've really beefed up the backroom team this summr.

Brown, Mowatt and Diaby all fit again, Woodrow and McGeehan back in full training too. Needed the international break.

Huge game on Sunday, not too confident considering our respective starts but still looking forward to getting back into it.

You not going then? It’s been marked as high risk by the old bill.

I can’t wait for it. I expect it to be rowdy as fuck both ends. Hopefully we win th game!

OK, I've just noticed the other thread was locked...

Yeah, how sad. A website that doesn't allow solicitation/advertising without prior permission.

Thread locked.

So the forum failed again a couple of days ago. And then at the same time gets advertising by email for a barely legal stream. Not good enough.
