Barnsley at home on Saturday, need to be winning this really after two draws, hopefully we can grab an early goal like we have against the likes of Brentford, Stoke and Wigan, once we go in front its generally comfortable.

Think we've missed Bodin in the last two games, he hugs that touchline and stretches defences, the quick switch to Maguire has brought us some good results this season, think Bodin being on the pitch gives us more opportunity to do it.

Fisher is suspended so we could really do with Hughes back or it'll be Browne at RB.

Some people calling for Nugent to start but i'd stick with Barkhuizen up top, amazes me that so many PNE fans can't see that Neil wants pace and movement at the top end of the pitch above all else.

Rudd
Rafferty, Bauer, Davies, Hughes
Pearson, Gallagher
Bodin, Johnson, Maguire
Barkhuizen

Wigan at home, good chance to bounce back against a team who seem to struggle away and have had a dodgy start to the season, bar the weekly Lee Camp fuck up they'd be sat very close to the bottom 3. Win this and we will probably go into the break sitting in the top 6, lose it and the start to the season looks very meh. Kind of game we normally make hard work of, Hutchinson is suspended so Luongo will get his chance, Lees still not 100% so wont be risked before the 2 week break.

So up at Derby today. A lot of familiar faces for both sides. Expecting a very difficult game after less than a 72 hour turnaround. Nearly 2600 Hatters will be making the trip.

Curtis Davies was stand-in captain last weekend - I think this is the first time we've faced him since he left us for £3m in 2006 after starting his career at Luton.

Jacob Butterfield has been our most consistent midfielder so far this season, was released by Derby after signing for £5m in 2015.

Jack Marriott hasn't had the best of seasons unlike previous years since leaving us for £450,000 in 2017 but is unlikely to play due to injury.

Graeme Shinnie may not come up against his brother Andrew today because of injury, but was tipped to sign for us last summer.

Chris Martin scored at Wembley for us in the -30 season.

Jonathan Mitchell won't be in the 18 but was a competent loanee keeper for us a couple of years ago.

And not forgetting Inigo Idiakez as Luton first team coach.

Anyone watch the Birmingham V Middlesbrough game last night? Boro look like a team in serious trouble, can't defend crosses, and after looking like shithousing an undeserved point throw it away 2 minutes later. Birmingham probably part of the other 15 teams hoping they can get a top 6 spot.

Two distinctly average sides I thought. Think it reaffirms that we let Boro off the hook first game of the season.

Shows how bad we have been this season. We lost to Boro. Dont think it will be long before woodgate is sacked.

Boro looked decent going forwards against us. Can’t defend to save their lives though, can’t see Woodgate lasting until Christmas.

Never noticed we have such a good recent record against Preston. We're still gonna get smashed.

Came into this thread to say that - Deepdale has been a decent hunting ground for us since I've been going.

But yes, I will be stunned if come away with anything this time. PNE seem to have their shit together this season. Our owners should take note of the fact we're similar sized clubs in terms of crowd and budget, yet they've established themselves in this division while we're going through the motions again with a brand new team full of kids.

They need to bring in a couple of experienced heads in January. Cauley Woodrow gave a very telling interview the other day regarding the squad and how no one has stepped up to be a leader and communication isn't great between them on the pitch (which is painfully clear to see at times). I have no doubt in the players ability but they need to pull their heads out of their arses at times and adapt to their new surroundings otherwise we're back to square one. We have spells where we play some lovely stuff but as soon as the other team suss us out there's no plan B and then it turns into a shit show.

Our keeper has dropped another howler. Capable of wonder saves but right now I’d take the solid if unspectacular Shea over a keeper who everytime the ball goes near him you’re waiting for the error. Don’t see how the centre halves can have any faith in him any longer

We were utter shite in the 2nd half today but managed to scrape over the line.
Unlucky Reading, you didn't deserve to lose today.
We were soooo bad. :(

I’m actually speechless. Two of the most ridiculous goals given away I’ve seen in a long time.

Pretty bad from us again. We were certainly unlucky at the start of the season (and had our fair share of bad luck at the weekend) but we’ve been pretty poor in general for a while, another deserved loss today.

2nd lowest scorers in the division - keep that record going and we’ll be in real trouble soon enough. So odd that that’s our problem as we’ve been in the top 5-6 scorers every year we’ve been here (just couldn’t keep it out of our net).

13 points from 15 since the last international break. 2 weeks off now to get a couple of the injured players back. We were good today against a decent Brentford who didn’t create a thing.

No easy fixtures in this league but our next few games look to be better than the first 10 or so we’ve had so a good chance to hopefully keep going.

Long way to go but can’t complain at all. Imagine if we had a proper keeper against West Brom first game instead of Muric.

Not a great performance today, definitely an ugly win but a very good 3 points, similar to the Hull game but this time we were on the right end of the 1-0 scoreline. We're definitely a solid side but we're just lacking at the other end of the pitch, hopefully we can stay with the pack going into January and bring in a couple that will push us on. Happy to see Luongo come into the team and bag the winner, and Pelupessy did reasonably well in place of Hutchinson but I expect Hutch to be back in at Cardiff. Always nice to go into the break on the back of a win, time for a few beers.

Good win for us to get us through to the break but it was all Luton's own doing unfortunately for them, keepers had a mare.

Disgusting result, disgraceful defending, get out of our club Conway and Lee you fucking wastrels. Absolutely no intention of trying to get us established at this level, only interested in making a profit. Fuck off.

Quality that, could and probably should have scored 10. Nugent played well, his link up play and movement allowed Barkhuizen, Johnson etc to cause havoc.

DJ,class, 7 goals, 4 assists already. When he plays like that he's unplayable and to think some of our mongy fans would have accepted £1.5m for him.
