I was kind of doubtful of Guardiola's positioning scheme for today's match but it flowed very well, at least this time. And Douglas Costa is doing very well.
2 joke pens made it 3-0 to Bayern. The big talking point of yesterday's games was at Köln though as they hosted and I must say I would be pissed off if I were a Hamburg fan right now. 1-0 up with 14 minutes to go and having most of the chances, ended 2-1 with the second being a quite doubtful pen. I watched the replay again and again and still can't make out whether it's a foul or not.
Elsewhere, Ingolstadt won once agian on their travels this time at Augsburg. Leckie was the goalscorer but Hitz, the Augsburg goalkeeper, really should have saved the shot. Big result of the day was Frankurt destroying Stuttgart away from home 4-1. Looks like another long season for them and this season could be the one they go down.
Even so, this is an extremely poor start. I know they've lost a few of the core from last year in Kramer, Kruse etc but even so, I am very surprised to see how poor a start they've had.
No proper standout games today - Augsburg make the shortish trip to Munich and Dortmund go to Hannover, with both sides looking to continue their 100% starts.
Fancy wins for Munich, Leverkusen, Berlin, Wolfsburg, Dortmund and Koln today. Don't see there being any draws.
Watching Stuttgart - Schalke. It's been an entertaining but ludicrous game. Stuttgart have been dominant, keep peppering the Schalke goal but have missed some absolute sitters and are somehow contriving to lose with just minutes remaining.
I love Guardiola's face after Lewandowski's fifth - that's not a symphony. He's seen Messi do the unthinkable on a weekly basis but even he was shocked by that!
