We had Trevor Kettle for our game on Tuesday and feared the worst after recent games but he had a very good game.
Don't worry he'll send a couple of ours off, you'll be fine.
Big, physical, dirty Lincoln...

Well it'll finish 9 men each then as carl boyson has sent 2 players off for us twice in the past. I was worried before. Now I have just given up on getting anything from this game. Looking forward to my day on the piss in London with a Lincoln fan

sourced myself a ticket, lovely stuff. gonna be weird in a full away end and a (possibly) not full home end?

Well while the two Lincolnshire galacticos are going at it hammer and tongs I will unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) be in another beautiful part of Lincolnshire --- Scunthorpe.
Clashed with my daughters Birthday which my wife has decided will take precedence over the football, which also happened on this weekend last season when I missed our home game v Hartlepool in which we got dicked 3-0 so it could well be a blessing again as I fear a similar result.

Why all the negativity? You're only a position below us.

It's not the results, it's the performances. By all accounts, you should be higher but your players can't finish. We've been fairly clinical but hardly creating any chances.

Tuesday was just defenders hoofing the ball up to strikers who don't win the ball in the air, which also means bypassing a midfield that has some ok passing footballers in it. No sign of a style of play or tactics, a very slow defence that gives away countless free kicks (Dixon and Clarke on the whole have been dreadful). Our only good players (Jones, DJ, Clements) not given starts or even near the first team. Predictable subs. Unbalanced squad. Too many players. Non-chairman who interacts badly with fans at the game and on social media. Non-chairman who's bad at most things. Fans who expect football from the Buckley era in 2017 in L2. The Fishy. And Lincoln now having more money than us! Apart from that, Dembele is pretty good (lacking some end product though).

Oh I get the negativity over John Shelton Fenty, that one explains itself. But on the pitch you're doing alright, nothing special but nothing disastrous either. And yet most of your fans seem to be expecting a defeat.

Tbf, I've not seen Lincoln play barring highlights so I've no idea how good you are. The football we're playing is worse than anything I saw in the conference!

Why all the positivity? You're only a position above us? ;)

Actually spare us the positivity again. I do think we have shown glimpses of signs that we can move in the correct direction, so I would tentatively say that we aren't quite as bad as some of us are making out and I think it is quite obvious that you lot aren't quite as good as you are making out.

I think most Imps, or at least the sensible ones among us, are in agreement that we just need to stay in touch with the top 7 until January. We'll inevitably invest and bring in the quality forward options we're desperately lacking at the moment, and Cowley's teams always tend to finish the season strongly. At the moment our squad depth isn't great and we're no where near clinical enough, but I'd say we're still more than good enough to finish in the top half as it is.

Negativity because while we should be looking up, we're looking down, we have an awful team, and Slade signed players no better or even worse than what we already had/let go, with the odd exception.

Fenty has pulled all the good will out of the club and fans we regained in the conference in less than a season by allowing a decent manager to leave and then sacking another one because Slade became available, a manager with no success, and we have gone backwards by signing journey man footballers on the way down instead of players with potential on their way up. It's like 2008-2010 all over again

With each Shrewsbury win the feeling that Hurst may have been held back by Fenty and the lack of backroom infrastructure is reinforced. I've posted on here that I thought he was incredibly lucky to get us promotion; was unambitious during the season - aiming for play-offs rather than the title and just the brain-fart by the Braintree defender ten minutes from time saved his bacon. All looks way off the mark now - with the right backing he looks to have built a squad (including ex GTFC players) that is significantly outperforming compared to the budget available. Ironically, if that Braintree defender hadn't done that shirt pull in the box in front of the ref the Cowleys may well have been managers at GTFC now...

Weve got a few very good players and a few that are still to come back from injury.

The issue is, the defence (bar the RBs) are absolutely diabolical and Osbourne can't seem to get in the squad despite Clarke being one of the worst CB's we've had in years. Dixon is piss poor, Collins only slightly better.

I don't think we're as bad as some people say though and I don't think we're in much danger.

Yeah we're far from the finished article, think the Cowleys maybe got caught a little by the transfer window especially with the two players we tried to get right at the end of the window (outbid for Hawkins and Akinola's deal being 4 minutes late!) but I'm sure they'll learn from it and indeed DC has said today they're looking round for players available out of contract.
We have two very quick wingers in Anderson and Ginnelly not to mention Mr Arnold being desperate to be fit to play, should be quite a game normally is.
Fingers crossed the ref keeps his cards in his pocket and doesn't spoil it.

We've definitely been unfortunate with injuries. Osborne should've been our main man but if the info is accurate and he's back before Christmas, that would be huge. Can't speak for Asante but a several people have said he is very good. Obviously we have no way of knowing that. With Sean Mac, I was lucky enough to see his 2 and a half games for us and and I believe that he is a very good midfielder. If both fit, I'd honestly have him and Osborne as a pairing.

Danny Collins has been very disappointing this season. Agree on Clarke, making the release of Pearson look worse and worse- Osborne must be seething. Dixon is supposedly on a fair chunk and if he's the best Slade could find, god help us for January.

No one can judge Sean Mac, he has hardly played and been injured his entire time. We have Jones, Collins, Mills and Osborne who are any good the rest are meh, apart from Dembele who is far from a finished article.

Considering we were meant to be challenging for promotion under Slade according to our great leader, we will be lucky to challenge for 15th, with the players we have.

James Berrett and Luke Summerfield would walk into any team in this league and probably League 1 too.

Mills and Collins, while being excellent last season, have both been very poor whenever I've seen them this season. I thought Davies was steady at best last season but seeing him now lined up with the rest of our defence you can clearly see how valuable he is and has been our best player at the back. It's been said to death too but Clarke getting ahead of Osborne is criminal and is by far Slade's worst habit as the switch would improve our defence immensely.

I'm the most fed up I've probably ever been supporting the club and I have no desire to go tomorrow whatsoever. I don't even blame Slade for all of this, it's Fenty's doing and the sooner he fucks off the better.

Hoping we can nick this one, as often in derby games form goes out of the window. The first goal is going to very important.

Won't be at BP, mammoth work stint so will be keeping tabs on FlashScores.

We've got rid of Chris Clements today and I've not seen the fans kick up a stink about a player leaving quite like this. Just more shite going on and shite players staying whilst good players leave.

WTF?! I didn't realise this. I don't think he is amazing or anything but he is a handy option. It's just another terrible decision from Slade. He's running out of leeway fast.

It might all fit together today and young Dembele gets his first three goals for us and Lincoln implode. On the other hand it might be another hoof ball show from us and we get taken apart. Hopefully the former rather than the latter.
