We had a brilliant first 20 but then it's been Lincoln all the way. Anderson and Summerfield the standout for each team. Dixon is an atrocious footballer.

The gist I got from looking at twitter was I was very happy to get to half time at 0-0.

Meh, I guess a point will do. No where near clinical enough once again though.

Same problem as ever for us we can't take our chances whoever they fall to.

Yep, story of the majority of our season so far, seems like we keep creating a few chances but struggle to put most of them away.

Always happy with an away point in a derby game but kind of feel we should have won?

Just kept waiting for Grimsby to nick the winner even I can't remember from listening our keeper having a save to make.
2 mid-table sides at the mo.

Pretty even game I think. Without seeing the stats I'd think we had the better of possession while Lincoln had the better chances. I'm just very pleased that most of the players turned up and got stuck in. Summerfield, Woolford, Collins and Davies stand outs for me. Lincoln were alright and their style is clear as day. We'll finish well below them as I can't see us pulling out a battling performance like that anytime soon. Arnold's ovation when he came off was probably the highlight of the match.

Shots 6/10
On target 2/6

Fair enough, I think our approaches on goal saw us hold on to it a bit more whereas you were quicker and more direct, I guess you had more of it in between. 0-0 fair result in the end, don't think either side edged it.

Thought we had more of the game but Lincoln had the much better chances. Was waiting for the inevitable Rhead goal. Never thought I'd say it but I was really disappointed when Summerfield went off, he was brilliant. Lincoln were fairly toothless except for balls in the box and Lincoln really should've scored. Mckeown was pretty good today though. Still don't know how we're going to score goals.

In terms of players, I was impressed by Anderson, Raggett and to an extent, Woodyard. Our best players were Summerfield, Woolford, Berrett and Davies. Saw the Cowleys getting a telling off from the ref, who was very whistle happy for both sides.

Overall, a draw was fair imo (awaits pelters from Impish and co).

Not from me, sounded like both teams cancelled each other out with little quality on show.

Didn't go or listen but from reading around looks like a poor game between two poor sides, we can't create chances and Lincoln can't finish them.

Oh well we got a point from a team that made the FA cup 5th round so can't grumble to much, but think it shows we won't be troubling the top half this year.

Quarter-final actually...and we may trouble the top half occasionally but we are a poorer team than the promotion winning one...I think it's a poor division overall...

As DC said in his post match interview today, if there's one criticism he's had over the first 12 games, it's that we're not clinical enough. But while we're relatively solid defensively, we'll get away with not having to be to a point.

We've got Green who does most of his work in the channels, Rhead who plays deep and can't get into the box and Palmer who's another worker who you might get 5-7 goals out of. Then you look at the midfield, which will generally contain Woodyard and Bostwick who rarely score and aren't particularly attacking minded anyway, and 3 out of our 4 wingers are young lads.

The above said, at least we're creating chances.

We brought Green in to be our main goalscorer but we're not creating any chances for him. Instead he's being used to hassle defenders, hold the ball up and run the channels, which just seems perverse.

You did, but he's not really playing as a goal scoring striker as in the width of the 18 yard box. He's being used to run the channels, so most of the time he's not actually on the end of any chances.

Quite a satisfying 0-0 when you're harbouring no delusions about your own chances and a little bit nervous that maybe Lincoln are as good as they're hyping themselves up to be. However, it turns out that Lincoln are also as crap as us just like I said they were in pre-season.

Hyping ourselves up, apart from maybe Impish I think most Imps are level headed on here. That's your verdict on one game of seeing us is it? I think most Lincoln fans wanted us to be in contention around January and then add to the squad like we did last season. I think both clubs are currently poles apart in how things are being run on and off the field (for once). I trust Danny to give us a decent chance of getting into the play offs but if we don't, a mid table consolidatery finish isn't exactly going to be the end of the world.

Level headed people can get things wrong though. Funny that you mention Impish, as the weekend's 2-3 away goals must have all been scored when I went to the toilet? But yeah, you're right of course I have only seen you once. However, looking at your results and reading the comments after matches on here it does sound like there is at least some truth in what I am saying. I'd let go of these playoff hopes if I were you though mate, almost certainly won't make it.

We shall see, but if we don't it's hardly a crisis. Jeez, it took us six seasons to be in with a chance of getting out of the Conference. As long as we aren't down with the dead men.

Yeah yesterday was okay, we didn't lose which was nice, nor did we ever look like doing so. Decent atmosphere throughout from our end too which was also good to see given the feeling round the club ATM. Not sure if Lincoln forgot to print out song sheets for the 1500 extra fans this year. Poor noise for such a large following.

Defensively both sides were spot on (which is a minor Fucking miracle for us) but lacked any creativity. A well fought game which (and I can't believe I'm saying this) was for the most part, excellently officiated.

Two mid table sides playing out a mid table kind of game. Only one of those sides appear to have accepted that though.

Strange comment. Why would we accept mid-table mediocrity when we're 11th in the league after just 11 games? I think that says it all about the current position of both clubs on and off the pitch at the moment, irrespective of what happened yesterday. We're looking up and aiming high while Grimsby seem content to stay safe in the middle of the table. It was only a few games ago some of you were discussing being in a relegation fight this season.

Again, it says a lot that we were disappointed only to pick up a point yesterday while you guys seem fairly satisfied with it.

I don't know if you're trolling but if not, that's another strange comment. We're 11th in our first season back in the Football League, we're doing fine right now. Whether you like it or not we have one of the best managers in the league and a solid if unspectacular squad that we'll almost certainly strengthen in January (we have a sugar daddy after all, apparently). I'm confident we'll be in the mix. Ruling us out completely this early is just nonsensical.

There's a fine line between aiming high and over rating yourselves. Based on what I saw myself yesterday I don't think you're very good, I think we're slightly better than we think we are but we're pessimistic.

Honestly, if any of our players could put in a single cross in that even looked like it had been crossed by a professional footballer and not a 9 year old then I think we'd have stuck a couple past you yesterday.

For a start, it was one game (one where we had the better chances). If you think we're overrating ourselves by thinking we have a shot at the play offs, then fair enough I guess. I happen to disagree.

I cover Blackpool for their local paper and trust me, I know you don't have to be THAT special to be in contention for the top seven. Colchester, Wycombe, Stevenage and Cambridge were well in with a shout of that final spot and there was nothing special about them either.
