Ground Improvements - COVID

Apologies if this doesn’t meet the criteria of bollocks being spouted on here lately, but is anyone else making good use of fans being banned from stadiums during this pandemic?

We have a new stadium tunnel (not yet finished), we’re ripping out 25,000 seats (longer-term project) and replacing them where accordingly. Next month, we’re installing a new dugout - and installing some fancy seats sponsored by JCT600.

I know the various conference/banqueting suites around the ground have undergone refurbs; as have the toilets on multiple concourses - something of which fans have been demanding for years.

If clubs are following a similar approach, it’ll be a far pleasant footballing experience for all.

Tranmere have tarted up the concourses and made improvements to the bogs. Apart from that just laid a very expensive new pitch which the wealthy Indonesians who own 21% of the club helped out with paying for. Cue Masi51 meltdown.

We’ve externally finished the stand 23 years after it was started! The EFL version of the Sagrida Familia! Concourse isn’t done but ready enough for the rearranged Robbie Williams gig and from the outside looks a complete stadium.

As you’ll also see when you play us at home we’ve started replacing seats, painted the roofs dark grey, added stand names and sponsored by Autonet who paid for it all.

Looks smart when I went when they opened it up before the season to take a look inside.

Why the delay - tis the season

Same improvement every League 2 ground has had so far. No Bolton fans are allowed in. Local glaziers have suffered a shortfall but otherwise trouble free.

Your club forums and twitter was full of posts about what was going to happen when you played us at Prenton Park last season and it happened. It might not be all of you but more than enough are vermin to cause a reputation. There might be a bad element at TRFC but i am absolutely certain that none of them go around weilding pre school children as an offensive weapon. What threat does a 4 year old child pose to them. Possession of an advanced reading ability.

Theres no way anyone would ever condone anything like that.....I am sure if any decent fan no matter who they support sees that they would step in.
As you rightly say we do have a bad element, but it is only Tranmere and Port Vale that the not rights seem to appear.

I am certain that last statement could be easily disproved. It wasnt a small element at Prenton Park. It was about 10% of your away following that day. You brought 2,000. I can only imagine the reason they smashed windows is for the same reason low intelligence animals attack mirrors. They saw their reflection and thought they were being threatened. If your new owners are the people you claim then ridding your club of them would help.
