Is England's squad good enough to succeed in Russia?

Success for me would be getting to the quarters. Will we get there, not sure. England have one players other teams would want. The one thing that I am impressed with is Gareth Southgate. To me he seems to be doing the right things, and the last time we had a manager I could say that about was El Tel.

No, you heard him - Leo, you wouldn't mind seeing England do well at the World Cup - you must truly hate yourself.

Logical, eh?
So much so that this afternoon I shall discipline myself severely with several glasses of Morgans spiced and diet coke mate. Glutton for punishment me.....

When, according to Jamie Rednkapp, the world "woke up to the awesome power of Zlatan" - a player who had been at the top level for almost a decade.

You using something that comes out of Jamie Redknapp's mouth just completely undermines any valid points you may have been raising.

He's a bigger cuntmelt than you are

Unlikely, isn't it, though? You have to be a somewhat notably entity to actually inspire enmity.

Probably why Germanys biggest rivals are the Netherlands.

He's been a pundit on English football for over a decade, and is paid very well for it.

There are few better people I could choose to represent the pulse of English football, but I also cited Alan Shearer.

As for Scottish people supporting England - of course it happens. One of my work colleagues in Brazil was a Carioca who supported Palmeiras and Argentina. It was rather amusing attention seeking behaviour. He'd never been to Argentina, was 100% Brazilian, but wore their strip during the World cup nonetheless.

There will be Scottish people doing the same thing, and it will definitely be quite amusing attention seeking behaviour. Absolutely no doubt they will all be Rangers fans. Exact same as the Scottish Celtic fans proclaiming their love of Ireland, Rangers are the English club in Scotland and always have been.

Redknapp, Shearer, Merson, Souness, (anyone on Soccer Saturday actually) aren't worth the money they get paid. All spout such utter shite.

Harsh on Redknapp, I find him incredibly insightful.

How would any of us know what a corner flag is without his years of experience and knowledge of the game?

I don't disagree with that, however, when answering "who thinks X" the answer is the people on TV talking about it. If everyone disliked them, or disagreed with them, they wouldn't be there.

If you want to see what England fans think, one of them thinks Keylor Navas would struggle in the English National League, and that Sergio Ramos is a bit rubbish.

Tell you what, seeing as you are the self appointed braggart for all things football (no country or league big or small off limits) & seem to know who will be doing what and why.....put up or shut up and post photos of all these Rangers fans wearing attention seeking England strips.... Go on, I dare you!

Rangers are the English club in Scotland and always has been. ?....oh for fucks sake...you need serious help justy, serioussss help!

The guy who you were having that argument with is a Wrexham fan and is probably not English!

I actually made fun of someone a long time ago for saying that Pickford would start in 2018 and they haven't even rubbed my face in it.

Poor effort tbh

Success would constitute beating a team we wouldn't expect to.

Which never happens.

Do you not see the irony in this statement when posting in a dead England thread 8 days without a post...

I watched that game and literally can't remember seeing anything on England at half time. You need to chill out bro and just enjoy ya time on this planet because we're going to be on TV a hell of a lot more until the 14th of July. It's coming home.

I was making my tea, and just come back when I see his ugly mug getting interviewed yet again. Thankfully I had more interesting stuff to do like watching eggs boil. ;)

Aye I lay quite a few and cluck quite a bit at how awful we are. I'm not St Juste, just blindly thinking all is ok with us.

None of the big boys have looked good(except us of course), when tinpot nations like Mexico, Columbia and Croatia are getting dubbed the dark horses for the final you know there are no teams to fear. Should beat them overrated waffles tomorrow comfortably then a walk in the park in the round of 16.

Yep fair to say footballs coming home this year.

People have be asking which route we'd prefer but tbh I would not take anyone lightly or feel we cannot beat anyone .

Could mean we face Sweden or Switzerland in a 1/4 and you'd take that !
