Then..
Scott brown
Kevin Philips
And some guy from Barnet

Not sure who is the best out of those.
I just assumed you’d be back in for Rowett - has he ruled himself out or something?

Is there anyone in the entire Galaxy who doesn't think Caldwell should be sacked?
Apart from our pathetic board..

Has he gone yet? Useless prick. Give us all a decent Christmas present and get rid of him. Now.

But what he achieved with you - does not necessarily replicate to us. Many managers have never been able to reproduce what they had and for some unbeknown reason it does not work.
He is the most coveted applicant but, I don’t know if the best.
Scott brown I think is damaged goods.
The other two unknowns.
Those weren't just his achievements with us, those included achievements with Notts County and Bristol City.

That's ignoring the fact he saved Shrewsbury from relegation a few years back and laid a lot of the foundations at Burnley that led to Owen Coyle taking them into the Premier League.

I admit I'm biased, but if that's your shortlist, you must be crazy to turn your nose up at someone who's had as much success as a manager in the Football League as he has.

I echo what Si Robin has said. There shouldn’t even be a doubt in your head on who’s the best gaffer in that shortlist. If you go with Cotterill, you won’t even be close to the relegation zone come Easter. Cotterill just has this thing about him where he’ll get every player giving 110% for him and the fans every single week and if not you’re fucked off out the club. I watch a lot of podcasts from ‘Undr The Cosh’ and I’m still to hear a bad word from a player that has played under him that’s gone on there. Blokes a Salop legend!

I'd rather get relegated than suffer watching a Cotterill side. The Shrewsbury play acting team he brought to ours were a disgrace to the game.

Got to think Burton are close to making an appointment now. The window approaching in a few days you’d imagine they’d want him in place to have as much time as possible to change things up.

Just other potential vacancies coming up even after a win yesterday it’s surely a matter of delaying the inevitable with Exeter. Then you have Crosby and Bloomfield who it seems large sections of both the Vale and Wycombe fanbases are done with them even if the respective boards apparently are not. Maybe a couple of sneaky ones beyond that like Charlton and Blackpool?

Our owner has kept complete radio silence on the current dire run of form.

Bloomfield has hinted that there will be signings coming in in January, so from that you perhaps have to conclude that the board has decided to back him rather than sack him for now.

There's also the rather embarrassing piece that, for no apparent need or reason, the board handed him a contract extension a couple of months back.

Plus it's rumoured that our owners are trying to flog the club in the background to some dodgy Georgian billionaire (we have already apparently taken out a loan with the guy...) so they may not wish to deal with a managerial appointment at the same time.

The players we have are in no way relegation grade though - no team is ever good enough to go down, but if we do start dropping into the bottom 4, this is squarely on the manager. We are just less than the sum of our parts at present.

I'm not in the "Bloomfield Out" camp yet, but it wouldn't take a lot more for me to change my view on that.

I have no idea whether this is true or not, as we all know how easily internet rumours are started.

But apparently Danny Cowley has been seen at several recent Wycombe games.

Even if it’s true, the prospect of him taking over at Wycombe doesn’t really enthuse me much, however we can but wait and see.

Fail to beat Fleetwood on NYD and I think that’ll be Taylor gone. The whole fanbase is against him now. Time to get Hursty back for me!

Lee Johnson sacked by Fleetwood just as we’re about to play them. Can’t catch a break.

Johnson sacked twice in the first half of the season, didn't even get a transfer window with them.
Even by their standards its harsh. Still, another pay out they'll have to make, I'm sure they have the money for that...

Feels a bit of a desperation move from a club where the writing appears to be on the wall for them this season. Unfortunately for Lee Johnson he’s probably going to struggle to get another EFL job I think.

Can’t imagine it being the most attractive job to take with the league position and ownership situation.

Another non league club that will disappear into the abyss. I feel sorry for their fans but when a team has been funded by criminal means and is nowhere near big enough for this level otherwise, you can't help feeling that it was always going to go sour at some point....just like your Yeovils, Rushden and Diamonds, Dagenham and Redbridge etc. Hopefully Salford go the same way.

A bad month, both result wise and transfer in/out situation and Paul Simpson will be on sticky ground.
First week of January is pivotal to his plight I reckon.

I would suggest that the major stumbling block for any decent players to join you is your position in the table.

Think Simpson is fine and more chance he would walk than be sacked.

There has to be a realisation here that relegation may have to be accepted for the good of proper long term correct improvement of the squad.

Chucking cash on quick panic buys in January then reacting by removing the manager (because he somehow turned bad L2 players into a promotion team but hasn’t been able to turn bad L2 players into good L1 players) is going to do much more long term damage than any relegation would.

If the players can be brought in this market to improve side enough then great, if not we just have to wait until summer and give more time.

Adam Murray has left us to go take over as number 1 at Eastbourne. I mean fucking Eastbourne!!!

Turns out he was only on a month to month contract so he's able to just up and leave. We now need to find another bloody assistant!!

Could be a big blow, he left us (in fairness to go to Besiktas!) and we struggled for a bit! He was only with us a couple of months and we went on a mental winning run.

I have no doubt he's been just as important as Clarke in our recent run of form.

Just smacks of the club still being non-league at board level. Why wasn't he under a firmer contract!!
