Means nowt at this stage.

Don't even think Clarke was in the running when we appointed him.

No I know, even Tom Pope is shorter odds than some more likely candidates!

So David Dunn wont take the interim role, our youth coach Will Ryder (done an excellent job), Matty Done (ex Rochdale player) and Danny Lloyd are to oversee so essentially our youth team management team!

Bullsh*t. I want to see Dan Phillips and Leeds Valliant lead the team tonight.
If the youth coaches go you might!

Big gamble this IMO, its a totally different ball game to managing the first team... its not like our DOF has over 350 games as an EFL manager though...

Is Paul Jewell still available? He may be desperate enough to tackle this job.

Don't disagree Vale have sacked their manager. But should have done it a few weeks ago. Any new man coming in will now have to play with Crosby's players. That will probably limit the calibre of applicants. Think you may be in trouble -- But a win tonight and saturday will seriously help your plight.

Don’t think the manager has a massive say in the signings to be fair, think that’s Flickers.

You‘re not wrong there. I would stay well clear of MK, he talks a good game but his football is so defensively boring. He mentioned about getting fans off the seats with attacking football and a high press when he started at Sincil Bank but it was the complete opposite, fans were getting very p***ed off with how it was turning out. Also he seems to have issues with certain players and that was causing dressing room problems. I think that was one of the reasons why he was given the boot here let alone the negative dire tactics.

We are slow and laboured with little attack so sounds like more of that.

For the next 3 months we really need a Dinosaur!

Well FWIW Derek Adams just quit as Ross County manager. Worked with Ripley and Weir before…

He’s a c*** but he’d be our c*** and if he helped us stay up can live with it for a short period.

He has a good record of victories at Vale Park so ticks that box and may well keep us up but christ, some of the worst anti football I’ve seen have been his sides. Oldham and Stevenage notably!

Seems a bit uninspiring. Ground out some good results at Lincoln but style of play cost him his job seemingly. Looks like he's been honing his PowerPoint skills since leaving Lincoln.

We love a good power point! Thats how we've been pulling off these loan signings like Devine and Arblaster!

It maybe what we need, we've wed to this footballing system that is played from youth team up to the first team like we think we are Liverpool or something but isn't currently working so someone who can make us harder to beat and a bit more ugly would be prefferable short term, but regardless are stuck with an injury hit squad with 1 x injury prone senior striker available.

Kennedy always talked a good game so I guess he will always interview well. Problem is what he promised here did not happen, granted we had a horrendous injury list to virtually all the forwards at the same time. I still never really took to him, even when we were on a bit of a good run because there was always a nagging doubt in the back of my mind.

I guess he may try and make you hard to beat, but it’s so mind numbingly boring watching us try to get draws and sit back, even at home against sides we should be going for the jugular with.

Of course, he may do well for you if appointed, some people just click at certain clubs, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
