The short term future doesn't look too good for us unfortunately mate. We're still up for sale but look no closer to finding a buyer since the day we were put up for sale 8 months ago. Whilst we are up for sale, our CEO and owner have both come out and said not to expect any real investment over the summer. If we strike lucky with a player like Afobe again, we will sell them on for a large profit, and only reinvest about 1/4 of the total fee back into the squad (such as the Mason replacement for Afobe).

I think we'll turn to Birmingham's approach, trying to sign cheap freebies or utilising the academy. That isn't necessarily a bad thing mind, I'd much prefer to see our academy kids given a chance over the overpaid dross that turns up every week at the moment.

In short, we're in limbo until we find a buyer, and considering we are surrounded by Villa, Birmingham and West Brom (who are all up for sale too) we could be waiting for a long time.
Sad post that bud.
It makes me appreciate our owner TBH who seems to be building for the future and has installed his son to carry on his plans, eventually.
I hope you find a buyer soon although the 'academy' thing is no bad plan as long as it's supported by a couple of experienced pros.
I didn't know the Baggies were for sale, quite surprised by that.

For what it's worth we spent €3m on Bjorn Sigurdarson, and he's out of contract in the summer... you can have him if you want with your other Icelandic player.

Good luck getting him to score though, he hasn't managed that herculean task in over 2 and a half years.
We are apparently after 2 strikers in the summer and it sounds like EXACTLY the type of striker we'd sign.

Yeah mate Lansdown is one of the best around, lucky he supports Bristol City too so isn't likely to leave!

I miss the days of having Sir Jack Hayward as an owner. He would bleed for the club, he even disowned one of his sons who tried to sue him over the club. When it came to selling the club he loved so much, he sold it for £10 on the promise that current owner Steve Morgan would reinvest £30m into the club. Sadly owners like him, and Steve Lansdown seem to be a dying breed.

No chance JBG will be here next season either, he's our most valuable asset. Wouldn't be surprised if he had one of these ridiculous clauses in his contract too!

If Gomez hadn't scored that 93rd minute free kick for us against MK we would genuinely be where they are. Since the international break none of our players seem to care about the club or even want to make an effort.

Still going to Rotherham away though, watching us surrender to a tinpot club, yet again.
Might see SERNWA starting a fight after getting pissed off half a pint of lager
Pivotal moment in the season for us, that.

At half time there was only one winner and we should really have been 2:0 up. At half time I genuinely thought we'd shown enough to not be in any danger of relegation. You seized the initiative after the break and probably deserved the win, however.

We should've been 3-0 up at home to you by half time and you ended up equalising in the 94th minute so it all cancels itself out.

I've still got a slight niggling doubt in my mind. Please please City, just **** a 0-0 draw today then we can all finally relax.

I don't see why you do, for us to stay up we'd have to win our next 3 and for you to lose yours. We've not even won two in a row all season, you ha e nothing to worry about. We'll probably lose today.

MK Dons stadium is going to look hilariously empty in League One.

If you don't care about your club being relegated then you are beyond belief.

It's disappointing, but we've been expecting it for quite a while today. Not like it was an end of season shock, the team just hasn't been good enough. Look forward to hopefully winning games again!

It's what he wanted. Un-bloody-believable! Don't like a challenge and would rather be a big fish in a shite pond.
Lost all respect when we read that crap TBH.
Good riddance as far as I'm concerned, they can now take their ball home sulking. :)

14 games ago we were 6 points adrift, we've just stayed up with 2 games to go!!

Neil Warnock has performed a miracle, we're due to go another month unbeaten aswell.

Thanks god for Neil Warnock and Tony Stewart

No, I don't care if you go up and finish above us

That is an even more bizarre approach. It is quite possible that next season, the club that was told what they were planning wasn't "in the wider interests of football", which started in the 9th tier, which you have had multiple leagues and many years headstart on is going to be in the same league. And when you add that we are essentially your biggest rivals, it makes a mockery of the entire MK project.

Many of your own fans disagree.
Many of our own fans haven't been around long enough to understand why we have a rivalry with Peterborough, we may not like each other but (personally at least) I can think of 2 or 3 clubs we have a rivalry with more than you

And? I care more about Peterborough, Wycombe and Northampton than you.
