If you say so, but I'm today just repeating what our CEO, manager and chairman have all said in the past, I'm sure they know a lot more about the situation than you do
More than Bill Shankley, Bob Paisley etc as well then! They didn't do too badly. I would bet that Forest didn't have a 'training complex' when Brian Clough was there and he's another one that did quite well.

They have said we have failed that's not the point, the point was that we can't compete, behind the scenes we aren't a championship club in the words of Robbo, they're not excusing the season we've had they're explaining what will happen in the future if we are to compete.
It was also a different game back then don't pull that, with all that's on offer at different clubs now. For us as MK Dons to stand out and attract players it's needed, end of.

I don't think it is DD, loads of clubs have survived and prospered before and still do without a training complex. It is NOT the answer to all of your problems. It certainly won't do you any harm but won't sort everything out.End of!!
You believe it, that's the important thing as you will carry on giving them your hard earned because you believe it.
I'll leave the Mk discussion at that.

I believe that what we have as of right now isn't good enough, and the plans in place are good yes, I also believe that we need to stay up for a season to help us sign the players needed for mid table, I also believe that we need the finances from the stadium developments to maximise before we can compete in this league (hotel, restaurants, cinema, shopping centre etc.) And I believe that we would have stayed up had Wigan not gone after the players we wanted.
There has been a lot gone wrong this year that could have prevented us from going down I'm not denying that in the slightest, and I understand what you are saying don't get me wrong, but the only USP we have as a club in this league is negative because of who we are, that's what we need to improve and that's the point of the training ground and all the behind the scenes improvements, so that we aren't a last resort for players such as Maynard Revell and Church, but people actually want to come to play for us

To be fair, we don't really train on a golf course.
The course is part of the old British Steel Corporation sports complex and the home of Parkgate Welfare who play in the Northern Counties East League - Premier Division.

When we moved in with them 3 or 4 years ago the pitches were relative to their league standing.
However part of the agreement of sharing was that we brought the pitches up to a decent standard.
So they might not be state of the art, but they are a reasonable enough standard, it's the changing facilities that leave a lot to be desired.

As SERNWA pointed out, the Club did purchase a training ground but it is mothballed until we can afford to renovate it.
Tony Stewart has preferred to spend what money we have on financing the first team and getting together a decent youth development team.

I can see where the MK fans are coming from, but it really depends on how your owner perceives it.
Clearly TS wants us to stay in this league so his dreams of a state of the art complex have gone out of the window, at least for the time being.

The "we are staying up theory"

We beat Preston today, (Unlikely) Rotherham beat Forest (Do us a favour) we will be 6 points behind with 4 to play. And we have Forest at home last game of the season.

So even though the gap is nine points it isn't completely over like I thought, it could be by 5:00 pm today if results don't go our way but I've been negative enough on this forum.

We are going to stay up, and we are going to send Nottingham Forest down on the last day.

Like your thinking, it's possible.

At least today gave me the best part of our season, Revell saving a penalty. Absolutely class.

We just need MK to not win every game... Bentford, Ipswich and Forest, don't think they'll do all 3.

They haven't won back to back games this season have they? There's not a hope in hell. They'll be relegated on Saturday.

Exactly, I get the feeling LJ is experimenting with his team selection in the last few games as a result.
