And Cray are out of the relegation zone in the North! Incredible turn around. While Burgess Hill lose a second league game to a 92nd winner from Worthing

Cray's team is full of aging cloggers who have done the Conference South/Ryman Premier circuit in recent years. The thing is they're still having to pay out to groundshare at Bromley and I'm amazed somebody has found the time and effort to invest into the club. Carl Rook does get around, he's essentially a lower profile Jefferson Louis.

That's faint praise if ever I heard it.
I'm sure their actual ground is still available to use although it's far below Ryman League standard.

Went down 2-0 to H&R yesterday so I think we've fucked our play-off chances now. Did a decent job to get ourselves into contention only to slip up against the 16th and 17th placed teams. Disappointing.

Looks like a long hard season and a small senior squad has finally caught up with us. Now just a case if we can manage a top half finish.
Covo fielded his fittest eleven players in the starting line up for yesterdays derby against Grays , this was GK, five back four players and five midfield players.
Got to say, our beleagured squad battled all the way yesterday and worked their little socks off.
Grays are on a roll since changing managers, won 9 and drawn 3 of their last 12.
Dismiss them at your peril.

That 92nd minute goal from Worthing means Leafe's place off place isn't quite confirmed yet

Don't want it to go to the last game!!

Still, Worthing's last match is away to Guernsey and someone says Worthing have been banned from using the airline that goes to Guernsey (Aurigny). They may have to go by ferry?!

Blimey, didn't realise Hendon were having the season they are.

Are they planning on going up this time if they win promotion?

I don't know but I was always of the view that it was a mistake for them to not take up their place in the inaugural Conference South league season in 2004/05.

Unfortunately the death of Mr Arbiter left a massive hole and there just wasn't the same drive and desire from the owners after that. That coupled with the downturn in the Arbiter Group fortunes at around that time. There would have been no question of them forgoing their place in the new league if he was still there.

Their new home at Silver Jubilee Park (i think they move in next season) doesnt exactly look upto Ryman Premier standard let alone Conference South

They're definitely groundsharing at Earlsmead next season, who knows if it will be up to standard but the ground has hosted Step 2 football before.

I look at Hendon's situation as a win-win for ourselves, if they do come up then that's our Christmas/New Years game sorted and if they don't come up then we can poach some of their better players.

Despite last Saturday's recent setback, it's heartening to see Maidstone's upsurge in fortunes over the last few seasons both on and off the pitch (they're getting bigger home crowds than Accrington Stanley now!), and if Hendon do win all their remaining games, they've still got the play-offs to fall back on.

Hope they do it, and continue their rise back up the Football League a la Newport.

Thanks! Was a member of TFF under a different username years ago, and while it's a shame that for whatever reason it had to go, it's good to see so many of the older posters continue on the new forum.

Hendon 1 up.

Earlsmead isn't good enough for the FA's B grading and Harrow won't want to pay for the cost to get it upgraded, so Hendon have 3 options:

1) Hurry up the building work at Silver Jubilee Park and get something in place by the end of March 2016 so it's suitable for Conference South football.
2) Pay to upgrade Earlsmead themselves.
3) Groundshare locally, either with ourselves or Hayes and Yeading (if their ground is ready by December this year).

Used to live in Hendon many moons ago, and went a couple of times so would quite like them to get promoted. For Dulwich though, would hope Margate stall them so the game on Saturday is about playoff placings...
