Something much much worse then failing to qualify for the play offs is Not Police will now definitely finish above us. The height of depression.

Can I say we're champions? Because I feel like I can.

Going UP!!!

Technically a point away! Realistically with the GD you're there. Congratulations.

Yeah Maidstone are there, don't exactly live far away, i'll have to get myself down for a Conference South game next season, I might boost the Concord numbers if I can get to the fixture.

Three point deduction coming for Enfield after fielding an ineligible player despite the fact that they undertook due diligence and voluntarily reported said player's ineligibility.

That surely throws open a play-off place for several clubs.

Think it would change the order, but not increase the teams that have a chance. Enfield minus 3 points would see:

4 - Hamlet - 75
5 - Met Police - 72
------------------------
6 - Grays - 71
7 - Enfield - 70
8 - Billericay - 68

Means Dulwich confirm their playoff place, right? I'll be rooting for them.

Almost, bar a 5 goal total turnaround, with us losing at Tonbridge and Met beating Hornchurch. Which shouldn't happen, but with our shaky form...

Congratulations to maidstone, had a feeling they'd blow it but thanks to other results going their way they've made it to the Conf south. A disaster story I remember from the 90's it's taken a long time to crawl their way back....is it 7 promotions now?
Incredible to think back in the Kent league they averaged less than 200, now average around 10 times that and will be extending their stadium again.

To be fair, we always averaged over 200 despite never actually playing in Maidstone until 2012. So really that's more than 200 away fans every game!

I have faith in the other playoff teams to keep them down...

In other news... We've been granted another 100k from the Football Foundation for expansion of the stadium as a result of our promotion, and also Pat Gallagher has re-upped naming rights for the ground early for another five years for the same price.

Great stuff, on top of the money earned on our cup run, that pretty much pays for the expansion right there :)

Good to hear. I've noticed Maidstone's crowds are often approaching capacity. Has the club turned away fans on a few occasions?

If the FA are to be consistent (HA!) then the filth will be denied a Conference place on the same grounds that saw Team Bath removed from the Conference.

Here's a list of the top 20 attendances in the league this season:

3000 Dulwich Hamlet v Maidstone United
2856 Dulwich Hamlet v Hampton & Richmond Boro
2306 Margate v Maidstone United
2226 Maidstone United v Margate
2226 Maidstone United v Tonbridge Angels
2202 Maidstone United v Enfield Town
2137 Maidstone United v Peacehaven & Tel
2094 Maidstone United v Grays Athletic
2086 Maidstone United v AFC Hornchurch
2035 Maidstone United v Billericay Town
2000 Maidstone United v Lewes
1996 Maidstone United v Hendon
1970 Maidstone United v Leiston
1903 Maidstone United v VCD Athletic
1865 Maidstone United v Witham Town
1801 Maidstone United v Wingate & Finchley
1711 Maidstone United v Bognor Regis Town
1687 Maidstone United v Bury Town
1664 Maidstone United v Dulwich Hamlet
1646 Maidstone United v Kingstonian

Tomorrow's game has been sold out all week, so that'll be three sellouts in the league plus two in the cup against Welling and Stevenage. The club have been pretty good about making games all ticket when big crowds are expected, and you often see tickets for sale/wanted on the club forum for big games when they're scarce. The demand was definitely there for more on those sellouts.

Whatever happened about Maidstone's 3G pitch? Did the Conference decide it was ok in the end?
Conference finally saw sense

Could be a few of us in the Conference playing on 3G next season....Sutton, Eastbourne, Maidenhead, Bromley & Oxford City have all said they plan to install one

Christ what a shambles :ffs:

''The most likely option is a three-point deduction which, depending on the outcome of the final week of fixtures, could see Enfield drop out of the play-offs altogether.

Another option is to replay the games which Tajbakhsh played, one of which was against second-placed Hendon Town, who can theoretically still catch a Maidstone United side who are due to be presented with the league championship on Saturday.''

I'm pretty sure they'll just deduct three points and have done with it. Replaying a game this late in the season? I doubt that. Regardless, win tomorrow and it's moot.

It's surely inconceivable that any games will be replayed. A points deduction is the obvious sanction. Still a baffling situation though. The club brought this to the FA's attention two months ago though - why the hell has it taken the authorities so long to charge them? That's really quite unacceptable when there's a play-off place at stake.

Not only that but I get the impression that none of this would have come to light had Enfield Town not carried out due diligence and reported the infraction to the FA. Farcical, genuinely farcical. Shame as well because Enfield coming up would have suited ourselves down to a tee.

It's class to see a club emerging with attendances that big, especially to the extent that you're growing out your spanking new ground. Encouraging even given your history as a big side. Where will it be expanded?

As inconceivable as replaying a match with less then a quarter of the game to go due to someone's floodlights going out for the 100th time in a few years? Remember this is the Isthmian League... I wouldn't be surprised if Turvey was like "fuck it, you know, let's just replay the whole season because Enfield Town fielded an ineligible player".

How old is Alan Turvey? He's been chairman of the Isthmian League for as long as I can remember - back to about 1990.
