I remember Horsham used to have a cracking little ground right next door to where they play now......had a lovely big old terrace as well. Demolished for a supermarket if i remember right or something like that.

Their supporters were a great bunch. (a bit weird though) I remember a load of them showing up at our ground dressed as monks and dancing around with lard on there heads.

The story is rather convoluted. They sold the ground for housing and bought another plot, on the understanding that the council would allow them to build there. Then the council said no. And have kept saying no to everything for years, for generally erroneous reasons (at one point it was even stated that they'd frighten the horses). Until last night!

The supporters call themselves the Lardy Army.

Yes. Horsham YMCA are in the SCFL Premier, one step below Horsham FC. Both teams currently share YM's ground, Gorings Mead, but that arrangement comes to an end this season.

He's scored 27 goals for Hemel this season, so he's no slouch!

We've got Bill and Ricky home and away in our next two games! I've not wanted to beat anyone so much since we beat, let me see, Havant & Waterlooville, 3-0 on Wednesday!

The most annoying thing is it has happened mid season, not at the start of a season. Meaning they won't go up this year so we've got a whole season of Shit-or-bustricay Town still to put up with.

Well. Some of you do. We're off to Guernsey next year :2thumb:

Jake is a fabulous player and will score goals. But the 'Billericay experiment' frightens me half to death.

Mind you, Jake was at Whitehawk before Hemel, he'll be used to playing football in cloud cuckoo land.

Oh that goes without saying. To be fair, everywhere he's gone in non-league, he's scored.

You got your wish by the way The Paranoid Pineapple, not at all surprising when K's have picked up 2 points from the last 10 games.

HE'S GONE! HE'S FINALLY FUCKING GONE!

About 3 months too late... took us to relegation zone before the board worked out what the fans knew since January: Tommy Williams is not the right guy for K's.

Now we've got 6 games left to save our sorry arses... relegation AND moving to Leatherhead wouldn't exactly be the rebirth of this club...

Definitely the repetitive nature of my Tommy Out's that finally dislodged him, I reckon. Really ought to have made the change several weeks ago but it gives us a fighting chance, I guess.

Also means *if* we stay up half our squad won't walk out on us which they were rumoured to be doing should Tommy have stayed.

There's been no official statement but it seems general consensus is Alan Inns will be player/manager until the end of the season at which point the club will look for a permanent successor... which seeing as we have already had one of the chairman's bank manager & now personal trainer in charge... so I think his chiropractor is probably next.

Scratch that. Just been announced former Bill & Ricky boss Craig Edwards has just been appointed K's boss.

Chelsea bought the ground from Wimbledon and will be having their reserves or something play there. Meanwhile Wimbledon I think will stay until New Plough Lane is built and K's have been kicked out, and off to share at Leatherhead from next year.

Hey Etty! Well... Basically yes.

AFCW have activated the break clause in our rental agreement at Kingsmeadow & are kicking us out as Chelsea do not want anyone else using the ground other than their youth & women teams. AFCW are paying us COMPENSATION as well as a generous donation, reported to total a 6 figure sum, which is to be used for a new ground (I capitalised the compo part to emphasise it, as mostly no one else reports that part of it is compo because it'll make them Wombles look bad you see).

We are off to that well known part of Kingston called Leatherhead to play our home games in a 1 season rolling deal. The board had investigated building a new ground on a disused golf site in Chessington (still not Kingston town but at very least it is in the borough of Kingston) however we will soon learn that's a crock of shit too because it's greenbelt land & London's mayor doesn't want to build on greenbelt land - it's not like we are a bandwagon former Premier League club who reformed in the 9th tier either so we have no sway with the politics side of things.

But hey, Wimbledon are moving home! Who cares if there's a little collateral on the way... right?

So. Ming's gone to King's?

Well there's a section of our support (i.e. about 20) who don't have much time for Ks (something to do with the playoffs to Con South* ). And then there is the remainder of our support (the other 120), who have even less time for Ming The Merciless (something to do with his "robust" approach and general disregard for the spirit of the game).

HOWEVER - he's a top manager so I reckon you've pulled out a plumb there. Hopefully K's will stay up, we will sneak up through the back door, and we can come and roundly abuse him at Leatherhead (a scenario which I'm sure you'll agree has a great deal of merit for Kingstonian).

Here's hoping - though I'm sure one of us will cock it up :)

* HUH - those were the days - can we have them back please?

I read this yesterday. It's a wonderfully spun PR piece isn't it.

"Paying next to nothing to use a stadium for many years and made to feel welcome despite the awkwardness."

Yeah tell me more about the low rent we paid... but let's leave out that part where the rent was augmented by the transfer of the perimeter lease on the ground to AFCW which allowed them to upgrade Kingsmeadow to Football League standards.

"Considering their previous treatment, Wimbledon always had a moral obligation to ensure Ks were looked after and a cheque for £1m for their tenants to get themselves going should be applauded, whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation. It’s one they didn’t actually have to write."

Yeah tell me more about how selfless our gracious Womble overlords are... but let's leave out the bit where a porton of this blood money is LEGAL COMPENSATION FOR KICKING US OUT OF OUR TENANCY AGREEMENT.

Kingstonian 1:2 Leatherhead

So Craig Edward's first game in charge of the K's, a relegation 6 pointer against our future landlords, ends in defeat. I'll put this down to a cunning plan to appease our new overlords ahead of marching in to Fetcham Grove in August & demanding they paint the place red & white. Hell we're even going to demand a big red all seater behind one of their goals coz that's what you do when you move in to someone's ground right?

Seriously running out of time now. 3 points adrift of Burgess Hill Town in the final safety spot, 5 games left to play. Sudbury & Hendon below us level on 44 points but having played a game more. It'd be nail biting stuff if I wasn't such a pessimist & resigned to the fact that we're more than likely down!

According to the non league paper, Danny Cowley & John Still have both turned down stupid money from Tamplin. With Cowley, he apparently turned down thousands more than hes on at Lincoln.
