Sky absolutely shafting the fans yet again, I’m working the Saturday so my lad was gonna go on the train with his mates instead but the Thursday I’m also working but there are no trains back after it so my lad can’t go at all now, what a bunch of c*** Sky are.

As people have said no one cares about Notts Grimsby except Notts and Grimsby fans, but I’ve noticed in a lot of their recent PR that Sky are claiming ‘50% extra sport’ and presumably this is the sort of sport they’re talking about.

During Covid the whole thing was about how the fans make the game but the authorities seem to have spent the whole time since royally pissing off those fans and making them less likely to attend. I hope the sums add up for the clubs because in the long term this seems like commercial suicide to me.

It's terrible . It's not even like it definitely will be a good deal financially for a lot of clubs either I will take Notts as an example - the new deal is worth 300k more - say the gate is 4k down for the game against us , they do really well so more and more games are shifted around .... it would only take 3 or 4 more games at daft times for the extra monies to be wiped out through lowered gate receipts . I think the fans have been sold a dud tbh

So like a sick joke my work are now doing a mini shutdown and and it’s to be two days on each shift and the dates it’s shutting down on my shift are 23rd and 24th August.
Notts County away has just been switched from 24th August back to 22nd August.
Fuck off.

Notts v Grimsby and Lincoln v Mansfield were both on the same day. Police might have had a word.

You spoke, Sky listened.

The Cumbria Classico, live on Sky Sports, 12:30pm kick off. Build up coverage starts from 7:30am

I hope they do the half and half scarves again. Got loads of use out of it this winter just gone.

Feel sorry Colchester fans, our game vs them has been moved to Friday 20th Decemeber 7:45 ko. Not a good trip that a few days before Christmas.

Our fans seem convinced our away game at Newport in October has been moved to a Friday night. Another one scratched off the list if so.

I recall one of ours a few seasons back being moved IIRC due to international weekend?

Given the heavy Christmas schedule, with 3 games in 6 days post Xmas Day, it's not surprising to move that game up, even if it sucks for their fans. Us having 2 long trips on Boxing Day and the 29th also doesn't help and probably affected the thinking.

Also last year the same fixture vs Barrow we moved and did a cheap deal on tickets that worked very well, so maybe that's in the thinking. Colchester were probably never bringing many more than 100 no matter what anyway, so we won't lose out financially there.

Yeeey, more movements for fixtures.

Some shockers in there. Thankfully for us, the changes aren't horrendous. Port Vale away moved from the Saturday to the Monday at 8pm, which sucks but it's a short trip at least. Just a shame it'll knock several hundred off the following. Then Bradford a few weeks later moved from 3pm to 12:30, which again might depress the following from Bradford.

This new TV deal is fucking abysmal.

All Saturdays for Notts too, barring the Grimsby game already announced. With Fleetwood already moved and Wimbledon and MK potentially also moving due to clashes with Forest, that might be 6 home games moved from Saturday 3pm already.

The home games are bad enough but Chesterfield away getting moved to 12-30 is a right pain in the arse.

How much are we all getting for this load of old bollocks?

Got away with our fixture movements to a degree - as with everyone else it seems to be the games from mid-December onwards which are affected.

Cheltenham H moved to Friday 20th December from the Saturday
Wimbledon A moved to Monday 30th December (7.45) from Sunday 29th
Bromley H moved from NYD to January 2nd (7.45)
Chesterfield A moved to Sunday 5th January (3pm) from the Saturday

Awkward yes, but not disastrous. Wimbledon A is nearly always made awkward thanks to the fixture computer anyway, so the fact it was a Saturday 3pm in the first place was surprising.

Good to see they’ve only moved the games that they know there will be a huge demand for, like Grimsby v Colchester.
Unless you’re a Grimsby or Colchester fan then who the fuck wants to watch that?

Don't agree with that at all mate...not even Town and Colchester fans want to watch that fixture.

Port Vale game was always going to be moved. Not too much of a nuisance with it being so close, just abit annoying as it will knock abit of the away crowd.

Personally I’m fine with all of them bar Cheltenham home game as that’s a bit annoying it not being a 3pm game. But I wouldn’t go to Gillingham or Newport anyway, so glad that those are now on TV, and any excuse not to travel to Morecambe is a good one, so being on TV even better.

Notts County would probs have been moved anyway due to policing so expected that.

And Swindon home on a Friday night is going to be a great occasion being back in the league after so long, I’m glad that’s not just a standard 3pm Saturday game.

Overall I’ve seen loads moaning about the moving of games (across the board not just our fans), but this was always going to happen as soon as that deal got struck with Sky. This is the new normal for the EFL now, might as well just get on with it and try and see the positives. At least they’re giving plenty of notice on games moved

I'd lined Newport up for a day out/night in Cardiff so that's annoying + we had planned to have a weekend on the coast for Morecambe which we probably still can do, just means an earlier start with the kids!

I can't keep up with all this, the computer in my brain has overloaded. I will just look month by month and plan games accordingly.

I still don't understand which games will be on Mariners TV at £10:00 a pop and which will be on Sky only. Add the overseas rulings too and with Shropshire being classed as being in Britain I'm all at sea!

Nothing will be on Mariners TV unless you're abroad (or appear to be).

Sky+ is basically iFollow, so every game that isn't 3pm on a Saturday will be on there, plus the first and last games, any taking place during international breaks and Carabao Cup/EFL Trophy games.

If your in the UK non will be on the ifollow/Mariners TV, all midweek, cup (excl FA Cup), first and last game of the season, international weekend games, Bank Holiday and the ones selected for Sky TV on a Saturday (and moved from 3pm) would be on Sky.

Saturday games that have been moved, but not for Sky Sports Plus, will not be available to stream in the UK

So, for example, our games against Harrogate away, Tranmere (home and away) and Gillingham away won't be available to view, whereas they would have been on Ifollow if it still existed.

As above, ifollow is now basically useless except for radio commentary, unless you live abroad or use a vpn.

Sky now have rights to all games except Sat 3pm kick offs (minus first and last and international breaks)
