The more the 2nd half went on, the more we seem to get on top.

Real bare minimum effort though.

If we'd had a bit more luck in the first leg, with d'urso not in charge, we could well be looking at a penalty shoot out. Not to be though, deserved the draw tonight as city couldnt live with us for half the game, then saw out the last half hour relatively comfortably. Good performance.

Didn't watch the game, sounded very much after The Lord Mayors show, important thing is that they did enough to see out the tie.

We're off to Wembley.

I like Dean Smith - seems a real down to earth bloke.

What did d'urso do in first leg?

If we needed to win tonight I think we would have. Was a chance to rest a fair few players like Bryan/Little/Elliott.

I think if we'd of needed to do more tonight we would of, but with Sunday in mind, and the tempo of how the game vs West Ham was played at last Sunday, I think we only did the bare minimum required tonight, and that's fine by me.

Back to the league now, with a day out at Wembley to look forward to.

Dean Smith talking about good set piece delivery, if there is one thing we have been terrible at under Dean Smith it is set pieces :fl:

Fielding definitely should have been motm made some great saves that kept our 2 goal cushion. Not the most convincing of performances but I expect we were more concerned about not losing by 2 goals then winning.

Any City fans on here happen to be getting the train from the North West for Wembley?

If you'd have gone 2-1 up I'm convinced we'd have upped it. We were just going through the motions at times, knowing the result was never really in danger. Saying that, JET hit the post and Smith and Cunningham have seen headers go narrowly wide in the 2nd half

Cunningham's was saved, put it so it would have been going bottom corner.

Very cold, very boring but we did what we had to do. I am certain we could have stepped it up if we needed to but fair play to the Gills for having a go!

Reckon we will be in Purple and Lime, the feel good factor the club has had with it this season and makes us very individual. Would just be nice if the club would sell more shirts.

:box: April 6th mate, April 6th!! :box:

April for us is a key month. We have franchise away and then you guys at home. Of course in the home game you had 10 for the whole game so it skewed the match completely.

I've been to Ashton gate twice and had great Craic with City fans in pubs before those games and at the county ground so I hope that it's a cracking game and that the talking points are all on the pitch.

This one could be different WTGR AS. The events at your place and subsequent celebrations on the pitch have wound a lot at City up and this one also has a lot of potential importance. I would be keeping my head down if I were a Swindon fan at our place as the idiots will be around!
