Cheers for the wishes lads.

Immensely proud about that. Small squad getting to wembley is excellent for the fans, the entire football club, the local area and so on - it gives everyone a boost. A proper scrap on the night. As much as Smith gets abuse for how he sets us up at home, he got it spot on tonight. 3 men back at every corner, get the ball up quickly to Bradshaw so that we don't get caught by PNE's midfield 5 in possession and put ourselves on the back foot, excellent. We have highs and lows under Smith, but the highs feel lower than the lows. There's an all round feeling of stability (3rd longest running manager in the FL at the moment) and although we are very consistent, you kind of feel it's an 'if' not 'if ever' as to use having a play-off charge one year.

Watch us get distracted and go down now!

Brillant night to be part of. I've been a fan for 11 years of our 120+ year plus history and I've seen us get to Wembley for the first time and win a league title for the first time!

UTS.

PS - Downing was awesome tonight, Taylor tremendous, O'Donnell very good but Anthony Forde...coming of age. Been excellent this last month..the next one off the Smith player sale conveyor?

Ahahahahaha. Bottled it. Yet again. No Wembley for you boys.
You continue to show how utterly stupid you are. This goes beyond just football. This is sheer ineptitude of a manager. Have some respect. Show some class. I refuse to talk to you about footballing matters ever again.

Congrats Walsall, hopefully your fans enjoy the Wembley experience (although hopefully not too much if we meet you there)

Scrappy game but couldnt care less. The most pleasing (and surprising) thing about tonight was the composure the players showed in a pressure situation. If the players felt about 1% of the anxiety i did we would have lost that about 15-0!! Looking forward to a nice birthday weekend in london now where i will attempt to drink my own body weight in alcohol! Well done you saddlers, its been a long time coming!

Brilliant stuff tonight for Walsall. Very pleased for their supporters, who I've always found to be a pleasant bunch when talking to.

Enjoy your big day out Saddlers, after getting to the final twice ourselves in recent seasons, I'd never downplay the JPT. It's great to reach the final for the day out, even better if you come home with trophy.

How funny would it be if they moved the final from Wembley to Villa Park or Old Trafford?

The only bad memory I have of Walsall was being 2-0 up and losing 3-2, they played 'eat my goal' each time they scored.

Ball ache.

The way I understand it, the team who qualifies first gets first dibs on the kit they play in. Would assume Walsall will go for their red home kit.
So logically we would be in our away kit, not the purple and lime

But why would we choose that when the purple and lime is superior in every way?

Also our kit is like 70% red 20% white and 10% black.

Not sure you could play us in your full normal away kit.

Show's how much it means to the lads yesterday as I remember Andy Taylor slipping when going for the ball, and then tried to tackle the bloke with his head when on the floor instead! Got a right whack round the head!

What a bloke that Andy Taylor is.

id prefer the purple and lime if we can't be in red but we have only been using it where necessary since our unbeaten run ended

How many Walsall take will be interesting.

club size wise you'd expect 20,000 abit like ourselves, Brentford etc, etc.

but Walsall is in such a perfect area for some fans of others to just make a day of it, and the others in that area are having pretty bland seasons

We took 18k to the millenium stadium back in 01 for the play-off final. Our support has decreased by a good 50% since then, so I'm not sure it will be anything like 20k. I'd for it to be at least 15k though, especially as it's the first time we've been to Wembley in 127 years - should get all the part timers out. I know 2 WBA and 2 Wolves fans who are coming..as well as 2 Wolves fans probably coming with me.
