However, this thread is about Klopp and he merely typed a post how nice it was that when Lucas asked him if he could wear a black armband Klopp said they all would. What's wrong with that? It's a thread about Klopp. Don't think it warranted the (kneejerk?) opprobrium it got to be fair.

If this was anyone else, it'd be deemed cringeworthy and desperate to be honest. When it comes to Klopp, let's hope it's just a one off (the dig at the dutch fella was funny). I don't like it though, it's a petty thing to bring up; both Neville's managerial record and the odd twitter thing.

That was my first thought as well. Mourinho does it quite systematically* though, whereas with Klopp it's hopefully a one off. Maybe thespus can fill us in; did he have a similar record in Germany?

That's my take on it as well, but what bothers me is the power balance. Klopp is, right or wrong, one of the most admired football managers in the world right now; Neville is a failed manager and a pundit. It's a kick downwards to say the least.

Dunno how anyone can interpret Klopp to be 'losing it' with what he said. If anything it just asserted himself as a total boss. A subtle "if you attack my players I will ridicule your footballing merit for the world to laugh at" is only going to benefit LFC. The no twitter thing was boss too, if G Nev wants a chat then it has to be within striking distance
