Liverpool Football Club can confirm a press conference will be held at 10am BST on Friday morning at Anfield for a major club announcement.


The media have been invited to the Reds’ stadium for the briefing, which will be broadcast live on LFCTV and LFCTV GO.

I despise Liverpool as much as the next guy but this is good work from them bringing in Klopp. I also think the league is better off having him here, he seems a genuinely interesting and likeable man.

Good riddance to that utter **** Rodgers as well.

The only thing I don't like about him, is the fact he didn't go down with the ship when he steered Dortmund into last seasons disaster. Just ran away when things got tough.

Rafa at the time was quite a nice little coup for Liverpool but since then they've appointed an out of touch Dalglish, a completely unsuited Hodgson and an inexperienced Rodgers. Klopp is one of the most renowned managers on the world stage at the moment. Quite a turn around from the last 3.

My only small concern is the length of the contract, an extra year would have been nice but there is no reason why, if things go well, there can't be an extension signed within 18 months I guess.

Also, where's Bilo? Went off in a huff a week or so back, would like to get his opinion of this.
