Midday on a Sunday. I'm out the night before for a mates birthday as well so there may be a chance I don't make it to the game.

Imagine everyone in the country will fail to find a fuck to give about Peterborough v Swindon being on TV.

Bolton away now on a monday,

Pisstake. We haven't played there in years and I know a fair few were planning on making that trip, same as Wigan in January.

Cheers Sky.

This is the most interesting we've ever been and we still can't get on TV.

They've no interest in teams doing well if there small clubs it's all about the money. It's a joke

I'm sure everyone's VERY excited about our mid-table clash with Bolton as it is.

I'd be pretty annoyed if I was a Gillingham fan that the game with Bolton has been moved to a Monday night. They simply don't take things like fans' travel into consideration.

Sky don't, never have, and never will, give a flying fuck about the fans who actually go to the games.
They just want to spoon feed the lardarse armchair viewers who pay their subscriptions.
We are just an irrelevance to them.

Derby against bolton who are one of the biggest clubs in the league so imo that's a good match for TV. And sky seem to like pboro but that game is about as exciting as coventry v sheff utd on a Thursday , an absolute bag of shit no one will watch.

This is the most interesting we've ever been and we still can't get on TV.

We are missing out on the money because we are "unfashionable", as most pundits and commentators remark. I do not expect us to be on TV. We are a small club with small attendances. No potential draw for Sky with that. We are a small town, with an ugly industry, iron and steel. Hardly a draw for an armchair population to have any association with. We have no University, so have none of the TV audience following their student day clubs. What do we have for the armchair fan? More importantly, what do we have for Sky's sponsors?

We are the top team in the lower 2 leagues. We have the top goalscorer in Europe. We are scoring goals. Lots of goals. We are the team that everyone wants to beat. We are controversial in the "professional" way we tackle a game. For the genuine supporters, who cannot get the chance to see us play, I am sure they would be interested in seeing what is going on with the Iron. I know that they are missing out. Take our last league game at Bury - Bury on a roll, at home, reduced prices for home fans, league leaders in town, top 2 in L1, vociferous away following with an edge, police involvement in the away end, no lack of skill on the pitch, physical game, edgy, yellow cards, two close in 6 yard box strikes for each team, both teams hitting the woodwork, Scunny captain (ex Bury) on at the ref all game, a world class strike from Morris to win it. This game had everything and would have been a cracker for the neutral. I was there and this was real football. For real supporters. No way Sky would associate themselves with that and that is why I have nothing to do with them.

You've started more or less how we did last season, lots of similarities - For Josh Morris this season read Bradley Dack from last, unfashionable club banging them in for fun and looking imperious. We didn't get noticed til Christmas really, and then we went off the boil. Stay under the radar as long as you can.

You are right, how could Scunny be ignored after their start to the season, it's bonkers! Their goal difference alone tells you all you need to know about how good they have been so far. They were my tip as dark horses before the start based on the way they finished last season and the recruitment in the summer. I said to a mate when he was released i thought it was a mistake to let Morris go before giving him a run in the team and i think i may have been proven right on that one!

It clearly isn't just down to being a small club as we've been ignored so far and we classed as a 'big club' at this level. We are also 2nd, unbeaten and playing some really attractive footy under McCall and many fans comment on how much they enjoy the atmosphere at Valley Parade so you would expect SKY to take that into account.

There does seem to be a bit of an obsession with Peterborough, MK Dons & Gillingham mind so maybe they have some fans withing SKY as when i last checked they were all mid-table!!

Gillingham have only been on once so far this season, so hardly an obsession. In fact last season when we were top for large parts of the season we were totally ignored by the TV.

I agree though that Bradford and Scunny are far more watchable than we are at the moment.

I would be more than happy if we weren't on Sky for the Bolton game.

It's because you are a 'big' club for this division Blademan.
If you have a look at the times we have been on Sky it is always against Sheff Utd, Bolton, Wigan, Wolves, Coventry etc.
Clubs that Sky deem as big clubs and therefore a big draw, regardless of form or league position.
It is wrong, but is Sky and none of us should be surprised really.

Really?!

We've been on once, and all the Sky coverage was about Sheffield United rather than us. Our trip to Bolton will be exactly the same - we might've been shown live, but we're only on there as the team playing the side who Sky actually care about. Not exactly an obsession! We were on once last season as well, fairly low key really.

Fair enough, obsession might have been the wrong word to use so i apologise!

You are still beating us 2 nil this season on Sky mind even if you think (and you may have a point) you are simply there because the focus will be on Shef.Utd & Bolton.
