Missed this game thought Plymouth were already promoted a few weeks back, saw the pitch invasion and was told by many to enjoy league 2 again next season. Congrats wombles, hopefully this will push the stadium plans along a bit as well.

Is it bad that I almost fell asleep while actually there?

You didn't exactly set the championship on fire last season.
I had the misfortune of watching your home game v the dirty franchise. You was even more shit than them

Bet you're looking forward to playing us (a big team), it's what you've always dreamed of

Well done Wimbledon. Can we have Dannie Bulman back now? Still can't believe we let him go.

Unlucky Argyle; sometimes the event gets to players.
Casey
Fuck off. No you can't have him back.

We're gonna keep him the bench just to piss you off. ;0)

Is that really the standard of League Two? Players were struggling to control the ball, defenders were smashing it as high as possible at any given opportunity and midfielders couldn't make a 5 yard pass.

Don't really blame them for knocking it upfield whenever they could, a lot riding on it and you don't want to be the one loosing possession deep in your own half

Well done Wombles! Just think where you were 14 years ago this week, and where you are now. Probably one of the Football stories of our time

Course it isn't. Is the standard of defending I saw in yesterday's game indicative of what goes on in League One? Are Sheffield Wednesday really that rubbish? It's the play-offs, the games are riddled with errors and/or a lack of pretty football. Nerves get to teams etc.

Us and Grimsby contested a play-off final like today's last year, and the L2 forum asked if that was the standard of the Conference. I've learnt never to judge a league based on its play-off final.

Where's the Rovers fan who said the side in 7th were never going to go up because the top 6 were in a league of their own (or something like that) ?

Congrats to the real Dons. Well done!

Ah probably living it up on the league 1 forums with the rest of us. Anyhow for the record I personally said I wanted Wimbledon to win after Plymouth won the title in December, than the play-offs in the semi's according to their fans, yet still seem to be league 2......... Anyway congratulations Wimbledon, oh and Vanni what league will Gaffney be in next season.....

Would love to hear the wanker Pete Winkleman's thoughts tonight. All this time and his disgusting excuse for a club ends up in the same league as Wimbledon.

Well done Dons. Hope you finish. above the franchise next season.

That would be the best time to hear his thoughts, if they finish above them. Think he'll throw a fair bit of money at it to avoid that happening...

Even if they finish above them, he has to accept his project has failed. His argument was always that Milton Keynes was a more sustainable location for a club than Wimbledon he's been proven wrong

Was working at the stadium today so only really managed to catch a small part of the first half - thought the quality was poor but a pretty decent atmosphere (maybe only Wednesday with better fans consistently than Wimbledon/Plymouth this afternoon).

Have to say, chuffed for Wimbledon and it caps a remarkable journey, plus they'll officially be above MK when the tables are released for the new season which is great. I'd like to think we played our part giving them their first win back in the Football League 5 (?) years ago ;)

Thing is, I know a few Wimbledon fans and they are dreading it. They refuse to accept the franchise as anything to do with them. I can completely understand that position and for me, I hope Wimbledon have a brilliant time on their way back up the leagues. MK Dons have literally fuck all to do with Wimbledon in any meaningful sense so let's celebrate the Dons coming back without giving any more exposure to that random club currently based in Milton Keynes.

I should have gone to bed but I'm still up chatting with HWMBO. What a day. I've really enjoyed League two but we've somehow made our way out. Well done to Plymouth who were so gracious in defeat. Off to the L1 section.
