Sounds like Sheridan is leaving his month-to-month contract at Wigan to join Swindon. Final game this weekend.
Sheridan jumping ship mid-season is literally the least surprising thing that has happened this week, and I include Southend getting knocked out of the FA cup by a non-league team in that.

How the hell does Sheridan continue to get Jobs in L1? Awful manager
He was exactly the right manager when he joined us (in league 2 not 1 admitedly), and kept us up when it was doubtful. He was precisely the wrong manager the following season when we were looking to go up. He does a job, I.e. make a side hard to beat.

Sheridan is a terrible manager, that two League One clubs have decided to appoint him this year alone is just bizarre.

The consensus is that he’s here short term - end of the season. Power will be selling up and doesn’t want to lumber any new owner with a manager - any manager - on a 3 year deal. All we want is to stay up this season and survive. Can’t imagine they’ll be any scope for any new players in Jan. We’re one of many clubs screwed big time by Covid.

blimey what’s happening in SE 7? Bobbin, is Paul Elliott now your owner? This does not sound good.

Sheridan has apparently had 8 of his last 9 appointments last less than 35 games, which is crazy given that he's never really been out of work that long over the last 5 years or so.

Ben Garner canned by Bristol Rovers.

Wouldn't surprise me to see another manager out by Monday, my money's on Shrewsbury to finally sack Sam Ricketts.

Just looking for a pay out.

Not concerned in the slightest, Sandgaard’s ownership is all above board.

It’s gone pretty much as I expected it to, Tahnoon Nimer disappears, Elliott is awarded an empty shell of a company in court, can’t get any money from Nimer so decides to try his luck with Sandgaard.

Good. I was on a zoom call Friday with two old school friends who are season ticket holders and they both sung Sandgaard’s praises, and knew nothing about this court case.

Elliott wanted an injunction on ESI so that they couldn’t sell their shares, case was this month. The temporary injunction didn’t mention anything about assets so Sandgaard legally bought the club from ESI meaning Elliott was heading to court to win the right to purchase an asset-less ESI, the majority shareholder of ESI - Nimer has now predictably ridden off into the Dubai sunset leaving Elliott with nothing.

It’s all just desperation on his part now.

Cheers for clearing that up. BTW, what happened to that poster who used to support your previous owner? I used to enjoy the dingdongs you and he had. Not that he actually won any of them.

Late coming into this, Sheridan without doubt saved Fleetwood from relegation some 2 years ago. He was most fans favourite to be appointed full time boss for the following season and there was disappoinment that he did'nt get the job. A certain Joey Barton did which actually did not go down that well at the time, in that respect Andy Pilley made the right call

You probably did right - I think the novelty wears off with Sheridan after an initial upturn.

This might be a game or so out now, but this is a table of who's had the most difficult and easiest starts based on current standings i.e. Oxford have had the most difficult start, generally playing top 10 sides thus far. Posh the easiest set.

And if that's 1 game out, add 1st placed Peterborough, 6th placed Portsmouth and 10th placed Accrington to it!

(Also 21st placed Oxford, a slightly easier game on paper for once)

This is the updated one after the games today.

Us, Northampton and Blackpool sticking out. Burton, Rochdale, Hull and Posh where you'd expect given their fixtures.

Ricketts gone at Shrewsbury. The only surprise was that it didn't happen earlier - when you bore the pants off your supporters, hardly score and hardly win, it's not a good combination.

Very unfortunate not to have had 3 points at MK on Tuesday night chucking a 2 goal lead away plus with 2 goals disallowed clearly onside should have been 4-0 up.........
Anyway a very good Managerial appointment of Steve Cotterill, I am confident we will rise up the league, on paper we have a decent side, just need to cut out the defensive errors.

Cotterill seems a weird appointment to me, especially on such a long deal, but maybe that's because he's been out the game for just under 3 years. Bit out of the blue.

Saw this elsewhere:

Surely there is more to this than just being suspended for using the word “handbags “?

It was actually at the Accrington game, he was taken off for the Swindon game but yeah, weird one.
