We've remained with iFollow but added an in-house 'Matchday Live' pre-match show for an hour 2-3pm, which does player/manager interviews, highlights from the previous game and usually a supporter on from the days opponents.

It's good to add things like that at times like these.

Don't know about other people's camera operators, but ours went through a stage of constantly zooming in and out of the pitch. They were that close at times you couldn't see who the player was passing to!

Yep. So easy for clubs to do their own stuff now, who really cares if Sky show their game with added punditry from random 90's lower league journeyman?

Our social media team have upped their game massively this year. They used to be a source of complete embarrassment (building up the announcement of George Cooper leaving like we were due a marquee signing still makes me cringe) but some of the content has been outstanding since covid. Would like to see them do a pre-show or expand the 'all access' highlights clips to include interviews and behind the scenes footage though. We're still tied too much to Radio Stoke, who still (rightly or wrongly) tag us on to the end any coverage even though we're a league above Vale.

We’re live on Sky against Accy in January, with the new set-up we have now I’m still going to pay my £10 and stream it instead.

Just realised I won’t be able to.

I'm somewhat surprised that Charlton's defence isn't statistically better, but not a lot of that stands out at being too surprising from what I've seen of the opposition teams.

Makeshift defence at the minute. When our first choice pairing of Inniss and Famewo were playing together we went on a clean sheet run of 6 games, they’re now both out with long term injuries. Up until recently we’ve been playing a centre midfielder and a right back in the two centre half positions, Jason Pearce is back now but still having to play Pratley alongside him. We need Inniss and Famewo back ASAP.

6 of our playing and/or backroom staff including Lambert have tested positive for COVID-19.

Doubt we'll be playing again until the NY.

Wish them all a speedy recover. Again; it may actually benefit us with so many of our players currently cropped.

Don’t know if there are any Burton fans on here but just would like to say how gutted we are for Sam Hughes who has suffered a bad knee injury which has finished his season, the lad had settled in and was producing very solid performances every week. Get well soon Sam and start Again next season which will hopefully be better for all of us.

Hull vs Lincoln on the 29th is off because of Hull's Covid issues.

Seems to be unlikely they'll play their Charlton game either.

We've got permission from the EFL to bring our testing forward to tomorrow instead of Tuesday/Wednesday like the rest of the EFL because of our TV game against Posh on Saturday lunch time, who have also agreed to bring their forward.

I think we'll see a spike in cases when the results start coming in.

Agreed, with two coaching staff testing positive and a player isolating having I believe experienced symptoms you'd think it may be widespread in the squad. Unfortunately inevitable but we seem to have done well so far.

Sounds like he started clashing with players, of which Ched Evans was probably one. Rumours that he didn't take kindly to players wearing gloves etc for training either but I find that hard to believe being too much of an issue?

Barton is a hothead, but he's also pretty smart so I can't believe either than he'd let such a minor thing become an issue. I always felt that Fleetwood had a lot of big egos for such a small club and maybe some of them are just getting squeezed out, so to speak. Is Clint Hill still there (he's not got an ego, just curious).

I don't think Barton is smart at all, based on his actions throughout his life.
Him spinning off other people's quotes on Twitter made me think he's even more of a thick fucker desperate to appear otherwise.

Yes Clint Hill did the post match interviews after our game on Boxing Day with them. Always liked him and wouldn't surprise me if he gets the job there until the end of the season.

I waa surprised initially but then nothing in football should shock any of us. Clearly there has been a fall out from Ched Evans being told he is no longer wanted. He is actually still on the pay roll so be interesting to see where this goes. As for as Joey Barton is concerned, he had put together the best team I have ever seen at Fleetwood and produced some outstanding results, but not the consistency.

The Chairman has always acted in the best interests of ( his ) football club and his stewardship over nearly 20 years is second to none, as he said, it was a tough decision to get rid of Barton. There are plenty of good managers out there, Barton had raised the profile of the club and the next guy in can push on and hopefully take the club futher to realise the owners ambitions

I wish Joey Barton well and hope he will be successful in his career

Piley might not want Barton heading up a squad re-build either. They've got an ageing squad and the salary cap will squeeze those who're currently, in real terms, above it, which I suspect Fleetwood are.

The 'clear out ' continues, Director Football Eddy Jennings, Clint Hill and Andy Mangan have all left the club. Simon Wiles now interim manager till end of season or.........

Steve Macauley for manager campaign pls.
Pilley has a good track record in giving former footballers their first managerial appointments in the game

Micky Mellon did a good job, Graham Alexander steered the club to something like 10th position in his first season and you would have to say Barton has done well. While all were ultimately dismissed by the Chairman he had the foresight to give them their first chance and none of them let the club down in a bad way

So Steve Macauley...watch this space eh

Shrewsbury seem to be the first Club to say they have 'several' Covid cases after the EFL testing this week.

I know they had two(?) cases in the last week or two as well.
