Regarding the new stand, agree that it's very poor communication from a club that's become well known for letting the world know what they've up to ( it's the American way)
Since R&R came in have the club installed a single new permanent seat within the stadium?....apart from some new VIP seating in the hospitality area within the Yale Stand
Its in the Mold Road side, but yes they have, but only the temp stand in the kop.

Across the board, the club is so quiet on anything at the moment, you'd think there would be more noise coming out the club. But I guess there is a lot going on behind the scenes.

Humphrey Ker is one to be saying things on interviews he does, and we take it from there.

So what's the problem with the new stand? Does seem strange that nothing seems to be progressing on the one thing that you appear to really need, rather than the more superfluous, easy fix, things that have been done.
Would have thought that with your local council supporting you that the new stand would have shot up.I mean twenty years ago Tranmere demolished and rebuilt three sides of their ground, including a stand that is bigger than your proposed stand, in 9 months.
I appreciate that R&R are decent owners who aren't going to walk away but is it possible that they are re-evaluating their recent expenditure and are just slowing down a little?

No I wouldn't imagine it's anything to do with that.

Better communication would be good as lots of rumours have been going about: that they still haven't secured all the funding, that the stand isn't seen as approved isn't big enough anymore, that the ownership situation of the land is more complicated than it seemed etc etc. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle of all of these things.

The main thing we need isn't a new Kop (although it's an important thing for sure) but a new training ground.

Is there no chance of an arrangement with the FAW to use Colliers Park again like Burton have an arrangement with the FA to use St George's Park?

Oh yeah we do use Colliers, but without full control to develop it further it's not really a long term solution. In the past there has been times when our youth teams were training at Colliers Park but the first team had to go elsewhere. I was told that there was a new deal that meant we could train there full time at the moment but I haven't seen anything official yet.

Oh, I genuinely thought that R&R had bought Colliers Park for your club.

Should never got out of our hands. Once again, property developers and all that...

We got that built and opened in 1997 from the massive cup runs we had in the 90s and was used for foreign teams when playing Man Utd in the European competitions. Think Madrid and Barca have trained there before now.

Since the FAW got their hands on it, you can tell they spent money on the whole complex though, as a base for North Wales talent to feed into the national team.

Yeah see your point. I'm going to be hated by some of our fans for saying this but your current good owners are karma for the years and years of horrendous ownership that you went through, one property speculator after another.
Even just thinking about it now, you guys struggling at the wrong end of the National League with sub 4000 gates playing Boreham Wood, Dover etc just wasn't right. Bit like Man Utd being in L1 !, although TBF I think we'd all enjoy that

Honestly that means a lot, even if you're them lot down the road! I work with a Shrewsbury fan and he's bang on as a person as well (as much as I want to hate him for supporting Slops ;) ).

As I've said before, its great to finally have a rivalry in the league again, mad to think a whole generation has gone without it. Agree with the karma, a lot has happened in 19 years for us and we're finally back to where we were when I was growing up. I must admit it still feels surreal with everything that goes on. Football has changed massively at this level and i'm a little daunted by playing Charlton, Brum, Huddersfield etc as it would feel like a cup final. I look at my lad who is 12 who has never seen us play teams like this on a regular basis.

I'd be happy to finish mid table for a couple of years, take 6 points off Slops and finish above you then push on again to the top of l1, lower championship.

That's just the thing though.....it's ALL hearsay, rumours and 'a mate who knows someone' ...type-of info going around. NOTHING official from the club. Piss poor tbh.

I suspect this new CEO will have bigger fish to fry other than the communication with fans...but it's non-existant and still one of the few remnants of our wilderness years. It really needs addressing.

I agree there. Some. of the things people are demanding information about I don't think fans need to know but other things could be better. Just a monthly run down, it doesn't have to go into much detail either. When construction will start/what's happening with the temp stand, wheres the training ground up to, injury updates etc etc.

we are weirdly high up in this chart, I think it probably comes from the Adebayo Akinfenwa years, given that he was heavily active on social media. And maybe those followers just haven't bothered to unsubscribe since.

Mansfield’s would be higher but the general lack of electricity in the area inhibits the efforts by the locals.

What’s instagram.
From my brief forays onto the platform, it appears to be mostly pictures of women in bikinis, and food.

Since there's no beach in Wycombe, I presume they have some cracking restaurants.
There is a proper dodgy all-day lap dancing place there though so plenty of tits on show

While I know what Instagram is, I genuinely never considered Cambridge United have actually got an account on there. In which case I’m amazed we even have 50k followers.

Can't compete with a tittie bar in Wycombe but Crawley have just signed a 2 year deal with Eerea for our kit.

It will probably be ready by October.

Fans have raised 25k for a canopy to be put up so that you won't have to get wet in our fan zone next season. No excuse not to come now..

Feel sorry for all the small towns who will get destroyed when the Zulus visit. Northampton away being the first game of the season

Didn’t realise there were still those out there thinking it was the 1980s in honesty, how tragic.
