..and I would say Oldham looked very good at our place.
Weird!!
We've been so inconsistent this season. You ask all the sides around the top 7, MK aside, and I'd have thought they'd say we looked decent. Especially as they were all away. It's the games at home to Crewe, Crawley, Doncaster & Yeovil which have prevented us being in a much more comfortable position.

We need to start beating the teams lower down the table away from home, and show we can continue to compete with the bigger boys at the top end at home.

Bristol City
Swindon
MK Dons
Preston
Sheff United
Chesterfield
Rochdale

All have to come to BP.

I think on our day, we are the 'best team in the league'. You could probably say that about Swindon Town and Bristol City too but I think we have shown by some of our results as alluded to that we can be unplayable. Having said all that, the 'best team in the league' is the one that accumulates the most points come May and that will not be us, it will be Bristol City.
So how come, after so many stand-out thrashings you have handed out, and the fact you have actually beaten us, you are 1 point behind us in the league.

Something there to worry about, I reckon

Because we just played the best team in the league ;).

When you play Bristol City, we will gain ground on one of you (or both). Likewise when we face each other, Bristol City will gain.

I'm sure it's already been asked but what's the story with the HMRC Swindon fans? Anything in it?

Apparently not. Bristol City fans aren't allowed to bring it up though.

Non-story really.

There has been a huge amount of fall-out from the ownership wrangles. The money owed has already been paid to HMRC.

I agree it doesn't look good from the outside and not all of us like Power's brinkmanship style of sorting things out, but he's nobody pussy, that's for sure

More confident than ever of promotion. Surely the onus was on MK to win yesterday but they barely had a chance in our box and seemed content to play out the draw and carry on the one win in .... run. Admittedly they defended better than I expected and smothered the Freeman / JET show.

It's now up to us to extend our lead with a tame run of games until April.

On their day, MK might well play the best football but there's no point in giving someone an absolute gubbing one week only to drop points the next.
It appears, we, at the moment, are the most consistent of the top teams which is what really counts isn't it?

If Mk are (according to one of their players), the 'best team in the league', after today, we may as well book the open top bus!
They're nothing special at all.
I disagree with this. They looked pretty decent and at times in the first half we had to defend very well to keep them out.

They were also very good at Ashton Gate.

We have an excellent chance of top two but it is nowhere near over after yesterday.

Spot on! The draw suits us a lot more than MK and I really expected them to push us hard in the 2nd half yesterday but it never happened. It's in our hands now.

Was quite interesting that their keeper was slowing things down at the end. Clearly happy with a point too which I was surprised about.

He got MOTM too.

Sorry Alex, I should have put a smiley on that comment. It was, very, tongue in cheek and I would never be that presumptious.

A point against the top team in the league is a good return. We are going for automatic promotion, not the title realistically.

That's a bit defeatist SA, you are definitely in the title hunt. I find that a strange comment WTGR.

If that's the team's attitude you are going to blow it for sure

As Alex said, it was certainly bizarre to see title chasers time waste for a home draw. Should think we won't play like that at home to Swindon and the difference in attitude is why we are top.

It is not the teams attitude, they want the title I am sure. It is just my opinion.
Not strictly true.

Robinson said after the game that the main thing was they didn't lose ground on City - sounds a bit faggoty to me

I find myself in agreement with Dan which, given our respective clubs and their rivalry, is rare. MK had an opportunity to damage the chances of their competition yesterday yet decided to waste a bit of time to get a point. I would imagine Cott's would have played it very differently if the roles were reversed.
A tad negative, almost defeatist from MK IMO as they can't control what happens to us anymore whereas they could have yesterday. Bad call by KR.

I've just seen quite a decent stat. Aden Flint hasn't been booked since October 2013. Given where and how he plays, I am genuinely amazed at that!

That's cos he's too slow to get near anybody!

He'll need replacing when/if you go up

He's been superb this season. Playing in a 3 with quicker players either side of him in Ayling and Williams suits him perfectly.
While he's a bruiser, to not get booked for a season and a bit is quite remarkable and all credit to the fella.

Based on that statement, I assume you've seen the majority of our games this season?

Of course not. Based the statement on him not being good enough for Championship football on your own supporters opinions - albeit those on Otib who don't appear to be the brightest.

I'd rather not write a player off until I've seen them at a level above. Bit of a daft comment to make really, especially as he handled himself very well against Carroll when west ham were in town.
