We have reportedly turned down £1.3m from a Championship club for left back Rico Henry. He is without doubt, the best youngster I've seen at us and I'll be surprised if he doesn't play in the Premier League - that's how confident I am. He has been consistently the best player on the pitch against most teams this season, in his first senior season and having only just turned 18 in the summer. Tenacious, quick, strong, skillful, eye for a goal - brillant prospect. He was voted Football League young player of the month last month and Smith has recommended him to the England U19's.

Everyone from Manchester United, to Spurs, Chelsea and City (including half of the Championship) have had scouts watching him at our last couple of home games. Having just signed a 3 year deal, I suspect we would be talking about a Mason Holgate kind of transfer fee (IE £2-3m chunk upfront and lots of hefty add-ons).

I'll be amazed if he isn't a Premier League regular by the time he is 21.

Last time I raved about a player and looked potentially stupid on this scale, was Scott Dann and he scored the winner for Palace at Anfield Sunday.

Could genuinely be world class if he plays regularly enough, doesn't get big headed and doesn't move to the wrong club that won't play him.

In response to that, he was asked to train with the England U19's in the last 48 hours and he has been called up for the squad to face the Netherlands today. Not shocked. He will go far.

Well he scored 6 goals in 13 games in the worst Coventry team I've ever seen. So I think he will be very good in a better team.

Good player, he's no Adam Armstrong granted but he's a decent striker. Should grab you a few goals and his general ability is decent, better than Mcdonald anyway who is crap

Was close to getting into our team at the beginning of the season but then got an injury (story of his career so far) and we've brought in players like Vydra too so would be hard for him to force himself into our team now. Imagine the month is mainly just to get up fitness, but could be extended if we're doing alright in a month's time and don't need him.


We also loaned our young winger Tarique Fosu to Fleetwood a couple of days back. Very skillful quick winger. One of those who will look PL class one game, but then the next game you'll want him off in 10 mins as everything he does goes wrong. Played one game for Reading (our 3-0 win against Derby last season) and was one of the best players on the pitch that day. Potentially a decent signing for Fleetwood if they can put up with the bad games to allow him the chance to play at his best. Hopefully the physicality of L1 won't be a problem, he did alright in his one cameo for us in the Championship.
