Just signed Adam Chicksen on loan from Brighton on a one-month loan deal. Garmston looked like he had a bit of a problem on saturday so I'd imagine it's cover for him.
Looked decent when we had him last season so pleased with this

Forget Dack fellas, we're set to sign Tomlin on loan.

I have a bad feeling about the Dack - Bristol City thingy.

As much as I rate him, when Tomlin signs we won't need him.

We'll have Tomlin, Gladwin (who only signed on loan last week), Freeman and Reid that are all naturals in that position.

If we wanted Dack, we could afford him and most likely tempt him with money - but I can't see us going back in again if this offer gets turned down.

We'd be absolutely silly to accept that offer and he'd be equally stupid to consider it too, given the respective positions of both clubs.

More talk of Colclough going this month, though I can't work out if the Chronicle know something or just a bit of rumour mongering or the club have taken out an advert 'cos we need the money.

If we sell him to another club in League One before Monday, shit will hit the fan.
It's the club trying to drum up business for their only valuable asset. Shows how hard up we are that we are now whoring players out.

Would mind North End taking a punt on Colclough, fits in with our recent transfer policy and wouldn't break the bank.

We'll probably take a couple hundred grand for Colclough, plus a load of add-ons that will never have to be paid just so we can say we got £750k for him. He'll be a sound investment for someone. Still quite inconsistent and only really hit the heights I expected of him this season in the last few weeks, but potential is there to make a very good Championship player at least. We'll be a few points worse off in May if he does go this week.

With our great record of developing Crewe players from lost puppies into quality players maybe a move to Vale would be beneficial to him :fish:

What's his value
We'll set the bar high as we usually do. I reckon somewhere in the region of £500k-£750k upfront with adds ons of roughly the same amount. Also a 20%-25% sell on fee as well. Any higher that than and I think teams will look elsewhere.

Honestly.....i think he's garbage.

I appreciate he's coming back from injuries but i can only go on with what i've seen with my own eyes. The biggest input he has in games is when he gets booked for attempting to foul someone for the 8th time. For someone who has made appearances in the top flight, you'd expect him to be a lot better with the ball, i think i have a better first touch and i can't play for shit.

A typical Dean Saunders signing, (presumably) paid well, delivered nothing.
Hmm, I thought he'd end up being a solid L1 player. He had a couple of games on the wing but generally played in central midfield.

We had him on loan from Villa along with Eric Lichaj (now at Forest) and Nathan Baker (on loan from Villa at Bristol City).

Herd was decent on loan for us in 2008, had we had him all season we may have stayed up.

Rotherham, Leeds and Wigan have been sniffing around Colclough but none have made a bid yet.

WE'VE MADE A SIGNING!

Bryn Morris on a 2 month loan deal from Middlesborough. Never heard of him to be honest, but seems like a good fit to replace Evans, England U19 player too.

Just done some research and it turns out he didn't do too well when on loan at Coventry or York, which further emphasises the Evans comparisons. We have a habit of taking players that don't do well at other clubs and helping them find their form. Seems like a good fit.

Yep, a direct replacement for Evans. He had loan spells at Burton and Coventry apparently so maybe they could enlighten us?

Sounds like he was pretty underwhelming at Cov and York, very similar to what happened with Evans and Crewe and Scunthorpe.

I'll wait to see the lad play before being concerned with that. We have this great knack in the last few years of taking 'struggling' players or players with an 'average' reputation and turning them into real quality. Bradshaw, Hiwula and Evans to name just 3.Whether that was good man management by Deano or an all round club effort, time will tell.

Alan Nixon reckons both Colclough and Morsy are on their way to Wigan. Interesting to see if he's right on that one.

Wigan are really short on numbers. I hope they can manage to pull it off with what little money they have...

Selling Colclough to another League One club. Selling our best outfield player to another L1 club whilst in a relegation "battle". I'd say it's beyond belief but it's what we've come to expect. It's diabolical. Any fan who thinks us fans will see a penny of it should be sectioned.

Never honestly thought I'd see the dismantling of this club whilst the likes of Dario and Bowler were at the helm.
