Supposedly turned down a bid from Bristol City for Alex Gilbey, and George Moncur seems to have been linked to everyone. With the silly money being thrown around in the Championship these days they must be worth a few bob each.

Glad to get rid really but that 'what could've been' tag with him being only 20 or so will remain. Expect him to score a few early on, all tap ins, creates nothing for himself or the team and generally just feels sorry for himself. Within a year Barnsley chose not to keep him on loan, MK Dons did the same, Man City released him and we've binned him within 6 months.

Not too fussed about Cole going as he wasn't playing anyway but what's the point of this Proctor lad if he's goalshy? Hope he proves me wrong but I can't see it.

Liked the look of Cole tbh. He's very raw but you can see talent there. I think he needs games and I don't think he was getting enough of that at Bradford.

Probably settle at a club that doesn't have much expectation.

Cole would do well at a club where he has to do feck all work and gets chances laid on a plate for him. Also he starts every game no questions asked. Trouble is he needs to earn it and I can't ever see him doing that.

Proctor is 1 really good game every 10, works hard but usually poor in front of goal and fans turned on him a bit recently, change of scene may help and increased expectation might bring best out of him.
Cole fits the profile for us in that he has potential and is young plus will fit the way Pressley wants to play, Proctor doesn't. Again a different type of club may be beneficial.
Hopefully it turns out to be a good deal for both players and clubs.

Seems we have got Proctor in to cover Hanson and Davies who is not fully fit. So hopefully AN Other striker coming in with Cole and probably James leaving.

Doubt he will be long term answer but if he heads the ball and gives 110% then he will probably be given a 6 year deal knowing us.

Westley is saying that whenever he watched him for Spurs under 21s, he always played up top and was relieved when he played Southend while he was at Stevenage and he was playing on the wing.

What sort of player is he?
Little, pacey and got a great turn he could be similar to Britt who we also had before you lot. Not the same level when it comes to finishing but in a team which creates a lot as you lot do I can see him doing well. Watch his goal for us against Pompey to see what he can do.

Fleetwood paid around £75k for Cole, 30% of which we have to pay to cash strapped Manchester City

Peterborough have signed another 2 players from non league. One being Aaron Williams who was formerly in our youth team. Never got a chance with us and went to non league, banged in alot of goals and we had him on trial last summer

5 players signed in 2 days.

Don't really know what to think but at least we are reacting to losing Washington.

Aaron Williams is not very good. I've seen him a fair few times this season and he needs about 15 chances per goal. Chettle never really stood out to me either. Odd signings but they'll probably be sold on for £5 million each in a year.

Looks like Sam Morsy is off, Wigan possibly.

Which would leave us with a midfield of Chris Herd and Ollie Banks......

Page has said we will have 2 new players in on Monday. A winger who is ready to go straight into the team and a forward "we will have a look at". Both are players he was interested in signing during the summer but wasn't able to.

Morsy will be a great addition to Wigan's 43 man squad

And yet they still can't beat Crewe.

Second bid to go in for Gilbey tomorrow, any good?

Bury have bid of 150k turned down for David Worrall. He wasn't even in the squad yesterday so he's definitely off

1FF's resident Ilkeston expert is here. Chetts is good but it's all potential with him, he started off in the Ilkeston team because of his Dad many suspected and then got a bit of abuse after a couple of games from Ilson fans but he dramatically improved in the space of 6 months and was on trial at QPR in the summer. Also rumours he turned down a short-term deal at Chesterfield to join Nuneaton. He's got all the attributes but as JJJJ implied, he never really stood out on a weekly basis. Hard-worker though, with the right coaching he could be good enough - another one of those that fits the cliche around the fact league football will probably suit him better than non-league too.

He's not worth anywhere near that.

Very decent and lots of experience for his age. In the youth teams he used to pop up with plenty of goals so he knows where the net is. He hasn't been prolific for the first team although has popped up with a couple of screamers. He's tenacious and will work hard every game, doesn't shirk a challenge and has a good range of passing.

Being a local kid he's had a good rapport with the supporters, but he went on loan to Newport when he was 18 and was pretty important in their promotion to the league. Pretty sure he got MOTM in the play-off semi and also in the final at Wembley. He will definitely go on to become a reasonable Championship player as a minimum.

We released Aaron Williams, was always rumoured to have had potential, but never really impressed on any first team opportunities and then suddenly dissapeared from the setup before being released. My thoughts are that he won't be good enough for League One football ever, but that could be wrong.
