Wimbledon don't exist anymore though mate

Oh shit, really? You've broken my heart.

Fact is though I've seen my team turn over Oxford more than once so I'm not waiting for anything. Same goes for your lot, when you were down here at your natural level.

Spent 23 years down here in our 117 year existence, with 5 years in the basement division. Not exactly natural.

Tom is being a bit of bell-end though so i'll let you off.

League positions may change but some things never will

Clarke wanted out so I'm not too fussed at what we got for him anymore. The only aim is stay up. Looking very unlikely at the moment though.

We are fucked. 100k for Leon Clarke is unbelievable. Fuming isn't the word. Never going again we are ran by incompetent arseholes who haven't a clue how football works.

£100k for an unreliable 31-year-old who wanted out anyway is good business IMO. Historically, can't remember many players over 30 even going for a fee at this level.

Leon will last no longer than 12 months at the Lane before he gets fed up, has a tantrum and starts sulking. There's a reason he's played for just about every lower league club, attitude stinks and 100K is good business for Bury.

If we get 12 months out of him and we get promoted then I'll take that gladly

Set to sign Josh Ginnelly on loan.

Fills a hole in our squad, we needed a fast winger.

Kane Hemmings in on a 3 year deal...

Actually swore out loud when I read that on the BBC just now, I was that surprised. I would have thought the fee I'd expect him to go for would price out most L1 clubs, even after making quite a bit in player sales this summer. As an investment I think he'll be more than worth it - the number of goals he should get in L1 would make him worth millions to Championship sides in 12 months time. Overall, one hell of a coup for Oxford, well done.

Already mentioned on the rumours thread, but Oxford have signed Dundee striker Kane Hemmings for a undisclosed fee expected to be 250k. Finished 2nd highest scorer in the SPL last season and was nominated for SPL player of the year.
Hoping he has improved from his days at Barnsley.

So risky signing SPL players, 90% of the time they are complete shite.

Lyle Taylor spotted at our early kick-off game tonight, scoring against a full strength Crystal Palace (lost 3-2).

Unfortunately, also spotted was Mick McCarthy who left straight after Taylor and Jake Reeves were substituted. Losing either of those two would be fairly devastating for us.

didn't he score 3 in 23 in this division like 2 seasons ago?

Could be a decent signing. Loads of crap Championship strikers have done well at this level, like the bloke you're trying to replace for example.

Bet it's far less than that. Some very good deals to be had in that league.

I don't think he even made the bench in his time here. Would give you some idea of what he is like but have never seen him play.
Can I have your opinion of Robbie Weir please? He is our new captain!
